“This used to be my favorite restaurant in town. I have been told that management has changed in the past 3 years, which could be the reason for decline in quality of food. Used to be the best around, its still okay, but not like it used to be. Last time my girlfriend and I ate there, we were sat in the bar area and we noticed a lot of flies around our table. Although we had no complaints about the food, everything was as ordered, and the food was great! Noticed on the way out that the restaurant health score was not up to our standards. Probably won't return for awhile.”

“We, my husband and two boys love this restaurant. The owner always remembers us when we come to visit. The atmosphere is romantic and the food is superb! Moe even accommodates my 8 year old's special calazone desires. We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and any special occasion that we can dream up! Please give it a try!”

“During Christmas holidays I left my mc at the table for some unknown reason, so I went back to rest. To retrieve my MC and it was there. I would like to thank you and your servers for being honest, and to this day you all have the best food and service, p.s. the best spinach dip around, do you give out the receipt. If not thanks anyway.”

“Great place to eat. Great food, great service with a smile! The only downfall is that it is so hard to get in. Always crowded, wait time, but this is why it is great!”

“Food and service was excellent. I was in Johnson City for business and someone at my hotel recommended Cheddar's Casual Cafe. I had never even heard of this chain before, but was quickly impressed with everything and was glad I was told to check this restaurant out.”

“My family visited the Peerless almost every week when I was growing up in Johnson City. The food was fantastic and the service was second to none. Today the food and service are not that great, in fact both are about average and not what you expect for the price you pay at the Peerless. I hate to see the Peerless go down in quality and customer service as it has a wonderfully rich history in East Tennessee. I'll most likely return now and then but its not a great value and you can never tell how the food is going to be or if your server is going to be friendly and helpful or just in a hurry to turn your table. They can do better, they have in the past and I hope they soon get their act together. I miss the "old Peerless."”

“This is the best place to eat; it has great food and a fun atmosphere. Try the Greek pizza; I have it every time Iżm in town. ”

“We travel a lot and we went to the Peerless in Knoxville, TN based on the front desk suggestion at the hotel we were staying. We had a seat by the window looking into their open kitchen. One organized place and a great show. We knew that we would probably enjoy or experience. I had their NY strip steak (it was cooked perfectly and taste excellent) and my wife had the seafood w/ a pan fried lobster tail which was very fresh tasting and also delicious. We had their famous Grecian salad which was wonderful with creamy feta dressing and their vingerette! I also tried the lyonnaise potatoes which where also terrific and went great with my steak. We talked to the owner on the way out and he told us that the family had been in business for almost 70 years. I told him the only complaint was that there was not a Peerless in Maryland! ( he laughed) ”

“- we had 5 people. I ate there for the first time in Knoxville. Wow the restaurant is very neat. We had prime rib-best I have eaten in a long time. My wife had the Flight. It was very tender and cooked on the nose. My kids had chicken and my sister had the seafood, which she said was great. My server was friendly and well trained and told us they had banquet rooms and private rooms which we thought was unique to a restaurant. We will be back to this restaurant soon. I took the Baklava home logo- it was to die for too.”
