• I loved the food.
• Small place.

“I thought it was awesome, the food was great. I would recommend bringing your family but get there early cuz there probably won't be anywhere to sit cuz it gets really busy. the service was alright it seems that they don't check in on you enough but your food comes very quickly.”

“I went up to the Alpine on a hot day to have a cold beer, atmosphere was good and refreshing. However, had a friend that used to work there, and told me only to order fried food, due to chicken and burgers not being stored properly in refrigerators, and I didn't take her advice and got the chicken sandwich. Got horribly sick that night. Also met the owner, not a nice man, very sad. I would not spend my money in this place again.”

“I was optimistic going to the Alpine, but because I knew someone who used to work there, I had to be a bit skeptical about the food. I did not take my friend's advice, and ordered chicken, and did get sick later that night, bad! I guess, just go for anything fried to be safe, but the other food is never frozen and apparently sits too long in a broken down fridge before being served. View is great, and having a few cold beers on a hot day is great. Did meet the owner, not really a friendly man, wouldn't want to give my money to him again, sad.”

• Fun Drive In Restaurant. Great for visitors to LaCrosse.
• Food served on paper/cardboard trays.

“Old fashioned drive in restaurant but has indoor seating. Its like good quality fast food. Staff was pleasant. Seems to attract all ages. Never heard a bad comment about it.”

• Decent choices and friendly staff.
• There are always children behaving like apes.

“It's a great value - but it's very loud from families overeating and children screaming (since, apparently, no families can properly discipline their children). You get a choice between a steak or a burger, and you travel the buffet line picking up American-style basics a long the way. There is an ice cream/desert bar. It's relatively straight forward - the food is five star, but it's food. The waiters/waitress are vague because there are usually a few dozen demanding, fat, Midwestern families who can't take care of themselves. If everyone at your table is mellow, they treat you accordingly.”

“The wait staff can be good or very bad, we have always got a great pizza. Sometimes a bit cold, due to great poor waitress who did not get a tip. Al's has been serving great pizza and other food for many many years, as of late the help has been less than good, but Al's is A great Pizza you will love it I think.”

• Large portions, not too expensive, unique menu items.
• Food is very greasy. Bring TUMS!

“Food at Grizzly's is very good. We ordered chicken strips as an appetizer and had we known the portion size, we would have stopped there. We got enough chicken to feed two to three people as a meal! The strips were enormous. The food is very greasy, so bring some tums! Service was okay, but nothing to brag about. I would definitely eat here again.”

• It didn't take long to eat (lack of selection) got out fast.
• Overall, experience stunk.

• Food was hot and not over or under cooked.

“We were visiting Lacrosse and were looking for a restaurant. We saw a big sign talking about Fayze's Restaurant that emphasized their bread. Thought for sure some warm tasty bread would be included in a basket before our dinner. It never came. When we asked about it, the response was, "Did you want some bread?" Obviously this wasn't something that was going to come with our meal.”

“Absolutely disgusting. We stood at the counter to place an order, and we could see the cook-he didn't even wash his hands before he started making our food. He proceeded to smash down old toppings into the garbage and replace them with new toppings. He took his cell phone out of his belt and played with it, and sneezed into his arm, all while making our pizza. All of this while he's in plain view! The person who took our order even had a greasy, stained, untucked shirt, and looked unkempt. Stay away if you like a nice clean restaurant.”

• Waited 1.25 hours for a table after we were told it would be a 40 minute wait. They allowed people who came in after us to be seated before us. The waiter was slow and stupid and gave us the wrong bill and was very inattentive.

“Was directed to the Coney island by some friends in lacrosse. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience. The food was unbeatable. It is definitely fast food, but these were not just hot dogs, they were wonderful. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone who may be coming to this city.”

• Can't get there often enough.

“I have been a fan of Rosies breakfast for about 10 years. Although the food can be inconsistent, it is 99% of the time a great experience. I would recommend arriving early, because it gets busy and difficult to get a table/good service on the weekend. The trivia cards of the table are a nice touch!”

• Not easily accessible when bliss road is closed.

“If you're looking for full service, this isn't your place. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere where cocktails and meals can be ordered at my convenience at the bar- no annoying servers. There is a wide beer selection, and food offerings include cheese curds and burgers which are excellent! There is a great happy hour weekday afternoons and a $100 drawing on Friday!”

• Cheap.
• Again cheap and constant drinking and drug use.

“I used to work here and you really don't want to eat here. Food might be somewhat ok, but my god what goes on behind the walls. The cooks drink in the kitchen, do drugs and so do all the wait staff and management. Really bad atmosphere.”

“I love this hotel. It is clean, great parking, friendly staff. I have a 5 year old son and he loves going there. They have fun drinks for kids. The staff is always talking and interacting with him. Something I know other moms can appreciate. The food is always hot and fresh. ”

• Very rude employee.

“The food is very good and is priced very inexpensive. Although I have called there to make reservations on the weekend and they will not take them unless you have a group of 8 or more. The person that answered the phone was extremely rude. I think the person answering the phone for a company says a lot. Also, the restaurant is downtown and is a pain to park.”

“We stopped in for what was the best burgers in town and ended up staying for some incredible live music. Truly a one of a kind atmosphere and experience. This has defiantly become a must stop for us every time we're in town.”
