• Fresh bread, friendly staff, college and family atmosphere.
• No week end specials.

“This is one of my favorite places to eat they have fresh bread and a really friendly staff I highly highly recommend it to any one that has never been there before and is a fan of tasty sandwiches. They have booths and tables. The great thing about the booths is that the staff allows you to write on the wall with permanent markers so each booth has a special feeling and you will never finish looking at the walls before your food arrives or if you want you can leave your own mark. And there are daily week day specials so you can rotate your sandwich of choice! In fact I am going right now for a first timer I recommend a salvation sandwich.”

• Can not eat here as often as I like.

• Deluxe nachos, lunch specials, sweet tea.
• Old building.

“This isn't a fancy restaurant, since it's a do, but the people are nice and the food is good. They have $3.99 daily lunch specials which are a great value. Try the deluxe nachos, they're great.”

• The soft serve ice cream is good.
• The service stinks and the food was not fully cooked.

“Visiting san Marcos December 31 and tried to have lunch at lone star cafe. The restaurant was filthy (window blind covered in dust and hadn't been cleaned in months; booth was dirty, floors dirty). Waitress brought my wife a half glass of soda explaining they had just run out and this was all that was left and she slid the glass to my wife. We asked her to take it back and bring us something else. Waited 30 minutes for order and then got up and left. Waitress saw us leave and never bothered to say anything. Several other couple also got up and left due to bad service. Management needs to make a major overhaul in cleaning and retraining some of the wait staff. Went to enigmas next door - very clean, friendly wait staff, good quality food and very good service.”
