• Nice parking lot.
• Everything.

“I went to Carvers today to celebrate winning the lottery. It was the most horrible experience I have had at a steak house. We were seated next to the kitchen. The noise was unbearable. The service was horrible. They have 2 different dining rooms, the back room, where I was in was a good 10 degrees colder than the main room. As for the food, I had the tomato soup which was more of a vegetable soup, the prime rib was very bland and my baked potatoes tasted like it was microwave. I will never go back. For price the food should of at least had some flavor.”

“The food was pricey for what was on the plate. It was just enough food for me, but my husband would have liked a little more. We sat in the back section by the kitchen so that atmosphere was like sitting next to the service area - wrong atmosphere for the money.”

• The neighborhood it is in.

“My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times. My husband had a large group of out-of-town colleagues eat here. We like the food and it seems authentic, I have not been out of the states. One of the colleagues said his family is from Europe and the food was like being over there. The service was friendly.”

• Wonder food and service.
• Not a small kids place.

“My husband and I like this restaurant. It is small and out of the way, so it is not busy. But don't let that fool you. The service is good and the food tastes authentic. I was uncomfortable going with our toddler since it was a quiet restaurant and we got impatient looks from other customers. The pop is sometimes flat, I am not sure why. I have brought well-traveled out-of-town family here and they were impressed.”

“We decided to try Carver's for the second time during the end of restaurant week here in the Dayton area. We waited 15 minutes for a table which was right in front of the combo. The food was okay at best. My salad was loaded with vinegar which made me cough. The server was dashing around so fast that she did not notice that my husband was trying to ask for coffee. Also, the food was over priced. I'd steer clear of this place if you are looking for great food. Maybe it is different when it is not restaurant week.”

• Excellent food for cheap price, Grapefruit Izzie drink is addicting.
• Long lines, but so worth it. Food is hot, fresh and made to order!

“If you eat here you will never eat at a Taco bell again! The food is divine and cheap! Its great for college kids that need lots of food on a cheap budget. However this Chipotle is in an upscale part of town and is always packed! The one near UD is always packed as well. i have yet to walk into a Spotless and not have to wait in line. But oh how it is worth it!”

• Pasta Bravo is still good.
• Remodeling needs to be undone!

“What have they done? The old bravos was located down from the Dayton Mall, next to Sake restaurant. They closed that one down and built it right in front of the Dayton Mall which wouldn't be so bad, but they changed the inside decor! Its horrible now! The old one had a warm sultry vibe. There was the brick oven that you could sit near and watch them cook in. Now that same oven sits so far back in the restaurant that its not noticeable. I hate the decor! Their signature dish Pasta Bravo is still good, but not as good as it use to be. Th portions were so huge, you always had to take some home. I guess they are skimping on portions to pay for their new poorly decorated venue. I will still eat there, I just won't stare at the walls.”

“Me and my good friend always visit this place up for our lunch break. It has pretty good food for the price. They just did some remodeling, and I have yet to go in, but the place did need a face lift, so I am sure it looks nice.”

• Pizza can't be beat anywhere.
• Shabby building.

“I have had Pizza all over the US and all over the world. Every time I come to Dayton, I go to Hoagie's for Pizza. It's not that big and the building is not in that great of shape but the pizza is out of this world. Simply the best you can get anywhere. Try it - you won't regret it!”

“This was a great place for my boyfriends parents and us to come. The server was very pleasant and not over bearing. The presentation on the plate was nothing to write about but the food tasted great. The decor in the restaurant wasn't great but the view outside was nice since the fraze area had all the lights on for the holidays. It is a great place to go to dinner and talk and not have to scream. I really enjoyed our dinner there!”

• There was no line when we got there.
• Cooking ethics, slow, very slow for lunchtime took 1 hr 15 minutes.

“We went for lunch. Everything was slow. Took 10 minutes before they took the order (party of 7), took 10 minutes to get check. No refills on drinks, no one came back to take any dirty salad or soup dishes off the table. Cook also touched raw chicken with the spatula then cooked our steak. Ordered steak medium well and got it medium rare! Disgusting! Sake at the green”

• Location - We always feel safe at the restaurant & parking lot though.

“We frequently went to Amber Rose and have never been disappointed. Their regional (European) dishes are wonderful. Worth the trip to a part of town. I don't frequent for any other reason.”

“The food is amazing, obviously. The table play is really fun, until you go there a second time and realize they do the exact same thing every time. The waiters are very pushy and actually asked us to leave because we were talking at the table for 10 minutes after our plates had been taken (we had just found out my sister was pregnant!) I will go back for the food, but I will not bring important guests there because it is not that impressive.”

• Love the food, entertaining, great portions, and good sushi bar.
• A little pricey.

“Great food. Fun for the whole family, cooks entertain children with onion volcanoes. Sushi bar is said to be excellent by my family (I¿m not for sushi). It's a little pricey, about $25 a person depending on what you get, but well worth it, you get an excellent salad, soup, rice, veggies, 2 pieces of shrimp, and your choice of meats.”

“The fact is that the food here is good but the whole experience is destroyed by disinterested servers and management. I have made three visits and the last two it was apparent if you weren't ¿a regular" and they didn't know you by Name that you were going to be lucky to get any attention at all. I won't return. There are too many other options out there to put up with the apathy in this restaurant. If the staff spent as much time taking care of the customers as they did leaning on the wall and gossiping with each other there might be some hope. As it is, if you are going for a first visit. Good luck to you!”

“Growing up, Marion¿s was my favorite - now at 65 it is still my favorite (after living in NY with all their legendary pizza places) Now I live 45 minutes away and each time we visit relatives in Dayton we stop for Marion's on the way.”

• The bar is in a good location, close to main freeways.
• Late at night the crowd is very young and rowdy.

“I had stopped at wings before, The food seemed like it use to be better. The wings were dry and didn't have much sauce, The potato skins only had some cheese melted on them and what seemed like one piece of bacon thrown and divided over 5 skins. The tab seems to always be more than what I have actually purchased. The service was slow. The bar maid inside seems to be unfriendly. The patio is nice but it is impossible to get service. ”

• Filet is the best in Miami Valley.
• Offerings are a little pricey.

“If you want the best filet in Dayton, this place is for you. Don't miss the spinach salad. The wine list is extensive with a monthly featured vineyard. Great jazz in the bar on Friday evenings.”

• Food is overpriced.

“Its overpriced and over-rated by locals who for some reason think this is a fine dining establishment. Food is mediocre at best; dinner salad was generic (iceberg lettuce); pre-dinner bread plentiful but nothing to write home about. Good service; generous bar drinks.”

“I travel to Dayton, Ohio on business from Greece and from all over the world. I have eaten in Nurnberg from where this place was supposed to have originated. From the start, the American version is a sad recreation of a once great experience. For years I have be forced to eat there by my American clients and sadly each time I leave more drunk than before to survive my ordeal with not only the food but the lack of humor by the owner. I recommend for anyone with class, individuality and taste to spend your money else where. Honesty can be harsh for that I am truly sorry.”

• Best hot wings in Dayton. Puts all others to shame.
• Wish the servers would watch the front for seating.

“Tailgaters had a rough opening but it has improved greatly. My family and I eat at Tailgaters at least 4 or 5 times a month and have tried almost every menu item. The hot wings are the best in Dayton. Meaty, big and very wet. Pizza's are very good and a nice variety. Sandwiches are big in size and very tasty. I like the quiet seating on one side and the sports bar area on the other. Service may be just a bit slower than other places but the food has always been hot when served.”

• The few times I ate here before was enjoyable.
• After this negative experience, I doubt I will ever go here again.

“My girlfriend and I went to eat on a Monday night. The person asked us for an ID at the door because it was college night or some deal like that. We stated we weren't there to drink and only wanted to eat. He said okay hold on and just stood there and did nothing while we sat there and looked stupid for about 5 minutes while he let other people with ID's pass. After we left I called the manager and told him the situation, he responded with "I'm sorry'. He didn't ask us to come back or offer us any kind of gift certificate or complimentary service for our inconveince. I have ate he a few other times and have never had this kind of terrible service. UNACCEPTABLE!! ”
