“I went to Scoop's with my family while I was there on vacation. We stayed there for one week and we ate there 4 times. The ice cream was great, and the service was spectacular. The store had three young men that worked every night and they never failed to make us laugh. Truth be told that was part of the reason we kept going back, they didn't treat us like any other customer. They talked and interacted with us in a way I have not noticed anywhere else. I would strongly recommend the place to anyone traveling to the area and I know that I will for sure stop by the store on my next vacation!”

“Love some Sugary! If your in Myrtle beach you got to check this place out. I love sushi, but I'm always scared to try new places, I mean you never know what your going to get, but once I sat down I knew I was in for a treat. This place is a sushi lovers paradise! Plus they've got Hibachi, its a win folks!”

“The greeter was very nice and welcoming but the waitress, manager and owner were not service-oriented and very unfriendly. My 9 year old daughter only wanted clam chowder but the waitress said she couldn't order just a bowl of clam chowder. Then after speaking to her manager, he agreed to sell us a bowl of clam chowder for $2.95 if she shared my shrimp platter which was $19.99. I feel they accused us of being liars and trying to steal their food because we fit the mold of other families who have done that in the past. Whatever happened to service? My family and I have always patronized Bennett's Calabash, but never again!”

“The absolute best restaurant in this area. Consistent, well prepared cuisine that you would expect from a restaurant in a large metropolitan area. Try it--you'll like it.”

“The most terrible excuse for a seafood buffet ever! My family was on vacation in Myrtle Beach, and naturally figured we should sample some seafood while we were there. With all of the various restaurants and buffets to choose from, we couldn't have been less lucky with this choice. The outside is run-down, the inside decor is cheap and tacky, and the buffet is a joke. Even the food that wasn't seafood was terrible. We would have been better off at Long John Silvers. So imagine our shock when the bill was just as much as though we had gone to a nice restaurant! Please, if you are looking for great seafood in Myrtle Beach, avoid this dump at all costs.”

“Outstanding food & service! Couldn't have asked for more. This is a small establishment & you may have to wait for a table, but it is certainly worth the wait. I'd suggest large groups attempt to sit outside. Already looking forward to my next visit!”

“Was there on 4/26/08 and had an absolute ball. My husband and I sang to the top of our lungs for hours on end. The only thing missing was maybe some easier snacks, such at pretzels or popcorn. Can gave enough about the musicians they were phenomenal and knew every song requested. They were a little risque with the batchelorettes but nothing really out of line and everyone enjoyed the fun and no one went away mad. It's the second time I had been there and will return again on my next trip to myrtle beach.”

“Worst food and service In Myrtle Beach. I've had better seafood at McDonalds. And the only seafood they serve Is a nasty fish sandwich!”

“This place has pretty good food, but it is inconsistent. It was one of my favorite restaurants, but several things led to me actually refusing to bother with the place anymore. If its slow during the off season it gets a 10 in my book. When it gets busier, orders get messed up, take FOREVER, and the place is tiny so its just ridiculous. (The one on 38th). As far as getting delivery, they need to just STOP offering that service. A couple days ago it took 2 FULL HOURS for my order to arrive, as I was getting ready to leave. I paid, and had to reheat it later. YUCK. It was terrible on top of that, I guess because of the hurry. I get delivery from the Carolina Forest one. Also, as of recently, you never know when they have Sushi, which is strange. I started having to actually ask, "Do you have Sushi today?" Its just RIDICULOUS, and I will be checking out King Kong Sushi in Carolina Forest instead.”

“My first beach Myrtle Beach vaca ever and we stayed about 1/2 mile away from my favorite place to eat ever. We went there for lunch the first day we were there just on a whim. We ate there once a day the rest of the week. The strong points include McCool Chips, dollar bills on the walls ( one with my name on it) photo hunt on interactive screen and the home town atmosphere that this middle Ohio resident cant wait to get back down to enjoy. Bad points0-we had to come home!”

“After traveling all through the South we finally found a True Southern Restaurant. Chicken Bog, Garlic Potatoes, Fried Okra and Black-eyed Peas all in one meal. Everything was hot & fresh. My wife had a similar selection and we both had enough for takeout. Service was fast & friendly. The Log Cabin was clean and very well kept. We will definitely return and also bring some friends.”

“This is a family run business with service and quality that harkens back to yesteryear. The wait staff is humble, the food is brought out very fast for a sit down restaurant, the food is really great (Id knock someone down for their buttery grits), and the atmosphere is open and airy. Try their buttermilk waffle, too. They are really thick but very light and fluffy. Also, the prices are very reasonable. You can't buy the ingredients and cook it yourself for what they charge.”

“Love this place! Happy hour 4-7 is the best. Friendly people, fun time, great food! Have had it all bar popcorn, chips/salsa, cheese, as well as bar menu and full menu. Go as often as we can. The place is awesome! Laid back, can go casual or dressy, but always a great place to be!”

“Stopped in for a late dinner, seated immediately. Waiter took our order & that was the last I saw of him. I had to chase him down in order to get the bill. Ended up paying at the host station so we could leave. I told them of the awful service they acted like they expected it. Worst dining experience ever. I will never step foot in there again & make a point to tell everyone of to do the same.”

“I try to include a trip Crocodile Rocks every time I go to Myrtle; if I can't make it, I'm disappointed. I always have a great time whether solo or with a group. It's usually standing room only & a good time will be had by all. I recommend it to all my friends.”

“The cost was somewhat high for a family restaurant (it's not a peanut butter and jelly place) but the serving sizes were ample. The service was fabulous. The food was fabulous. Go early and beat the crowds. Every time we go to Myrtle Beach we eat here at least once. It's a requirement for our trip.”

“We read a couple reviews about this restaurant when choosing a good value of the food. The option of bow was also very appealing. We went there to celebrate a birthday, party of 8 people. I must say that the area around the restaurant is not very good looking and the seating area inside the restaurant is small and not too cozy. However, the outside deck is well done and the seating area has a good view to Verazano bridge and Brooklyn. Definitely take the table outside. The food: other reviews said order steamers, we did, they were not very good, not fresh. Calamari was tasty but not prepared the way I usually like it. The best was though the crab cake dish for main course, lobster and tilapia. Definitely take the scallops, they are very tasty. For the dessert, try the carrot cake, different version but very good. Also, give yourself a lot of time as the staff forgets things sometimes and it takes them a long-long time to bring the food out. I would recommend the place if you like seafood and outside seating, but if you don't mind to drive, better go to Sea Side or Red Bank areas.”

“Love this place. Food is great. Atmosphere is great, never had anything bad here. Only drawback is that it's so good which makes it very popular. Had to wait 3 hours once. It was worth it but a waste of time. They've implemented a call ahead reservation system. Works OK, you still end up waiting once you get there. I would say best for smaller groups and or families so you can get a seat faster and definitely not for children under 5. Definitely call ahead before heading out the door!”

“I always book my hotel vacation stay around 22nd street knowing that my family and I can walk to dirty dons. If you are an oyster lover this is your place to visit. Watch for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday specials, they are out of this world. The bar is small and so is the seating. Plan a head. I always put this location as " a must do " when in mob. The service can sometimes be lax due to understaffing at peak times in the off season. Sitting outside can be a challenge for normal wait table service, but trust me it, sipping on a cold beverage and people watching make the time fly. Once you settle in and wind down from such a great state and day at the beach, you won't mind the wait for the famous steamed delights...”

“We have only lived in Florence, sc for 1 year. We are originally from nay and would travel to myrtle beach 2-3 times a year, and would not leave myrtle beach without eating at original Benjaminżs first. The food is excellent and the service is great. Now that I and my husband live about 1hr and 15min from original Benjaminżs we go at least 3-4 times a month.”

“The worst seafood and service on the beach. All the food was tough and tasted old. The management did not care or try to make things right, when they were told by our party. We will never eat at any bonnets again. We tried 2 of them this trip and both were terrible.”

“I was initially excited about going to Finn McCool's. I had heard about it and it looked like a fun place to eat while vacationing in North Myrtle. However, I was greatly disappointed in the service and treatment that my group and I received from the staff. The service was slow, the food was mediocre. The waitress, however, was the least enjoyable part of our visit. She did not refill our drinks. When we asked her to refill our drinks she walked away to serve another guest at the bar. When asked again later to refill our drinks, she actually cursed at us. I would not recommend this restaurant to other travelers.”

“We discovered this somewhat out-of-the-way place on our honeymoon in March 2003. We expected good Italian food, which we got. What we didn't expect was the "Big Daddy", the biggest, juiciest, most delicious steak we have ever eaten. A 30-some ounce New York Strip that will satisfy even the most ravenous appetite, this steak has earned Angelo's the right to say they have "The Best Steaks in the Universe". The service is wonderful, and the manager, Steve, always makes us feel like family. It is by far our favorite place to eat, and it is well worth the 90-minute drive from our home to get there. We can't wait to go back.”

“I make it a point to eat at Angelo's at least twice when golfing for a week in Myrtle Beach. The service is always friendly and cooperative. The atmosphere is very family-friendly. Sort of like you walked into their home for dinner (so be prepared to have a few youngsters around). Then we get to where Angelo's excels. The food. I have tried almost everything on their menu, and I have never been disappointed. Every pasta dish is tasty. But then there are the steaks. OH MY! They have a 24 oz. strip steak appropriately called the Big Daddy. Not only is it huge, but it is very, very good. And the fillet the best steak I've had next to my own. Trust me, you owe it to yourself to go to Angelo's on your next trip to Myrtle Beach.”
