“My family and I have been going to China Palace for 21 years. Every time the food is consistently good and the service, either take-out or sit-down, is always great. The family is so friendly and always does their best to make us feel at home. The food is awesome and a great value. We eat here all the time because we are a very health-conscious family and they use only the best ingredients and have healthy options.”

“The pizza ordered for carryout, was not made as ordered. Management refused to fully refund the amount paid when the pizza was returned. There are better mom and pop places in the same neighborhood with better business management practices that deserve consideration for your pizza cravings.”

“Whenever I come to West Chester, PA to visit my parents, I make them take me here to eat. I get constant cravings for their food, especially the Spaghetti Aurora (a creamy tomato sauce) which I order every time I go, although other items are delicious as well. The portions are huge, and comes with salad and bread. I can easily make 2 meals out of an order, and I have a HUGE appetite! Try this place and you will not be disappointed!”

“Its really great but when you order take-out, it takes about an hour for it to get there.”

“I liked this place until I ordered a pick-up from them. Instead of saying hello, they answer the phone with hold on. When she returned to the phone, her English was deplorable, so I made her repeat my order. I made her say "Steamed vegetables with no sauce". When I arrived to pay for my food, the woman stood in the back of the restaurant and didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. When she finally walked to the front, the phone rang and instead of telling the caller to hold on like they did to me, she took the phone order while I stood there and waited. When I got home, the vegetables were covered in some disgusting sauce. When I called and told them that gave me the wrong food, I got a Spanish inquisition from this Chinese lady like I did something wrong. Bottom line: I don't mind dealing with broken English too much if you're polite and get the order right. If your business entails taking orders from English speaking people, then do your job right and don't be spiteful to me when you do it wrong. The woman was very rude to me before I even got there and reinforced her rudeness in person and she turned out to be an idiot. No I dont want to get back into my car and deal with you again. I wanted a convenient quick meal not the opposite of that plus arrogance. They'll never get another penny from me. If you want an upscale Chinese restaurant, go to Peking in the Granite Run Mall or to Margaret Kuo's on RT 30.”

“Always a pleasant dining experience. The staff treat you like family. Actual linens on the tables! Very refreshing to see that. Wait staff/support staff are very friendly & extremely polite.”

“Pizza is the best in town. I really like the Salmon in the blush sauce and the Lobster Rav's.”

“Excellent entrees, seafood was real fresh and prepared to satisfaction. One of the best Italian restaurants outside of So. Phyla, very consistent, been there many times, even their Pizza's are great, thin crust-brick oven, just like in Italy. Reasonably priced also.”

“I ate at Gilmore's a couple of weeks ago because I'd heard that the food is good, especially the foe grass. Well, all I can say that this restaurant did not meet my expectations whatsoever. The restaurant itself is small and seriously lacking in atmosphere. The service wasn't particularly good, either. As for the food, by no means am I a foodie, but I don't see what all the fuss was about. There's really nothing special about it. Not only that, but the owner/chef had come out to greet some of the diners, and I saw him being very rude to an elderly woman with a walker who was having trouble getting to the restroom. Personally, I won't be going back to Gilmore's any time soon. Not sure why anyone even thinks of this restaurant as anything above "mediocre."”

“There are so many restaurants to try in West Chester, but we keep going back to Alberto's because it is just so pleasant every time we go. The food is outstanding; the service top-notch. Often, the chef will come out to see how things are, which I find very professional. The staff at Alberto's is most certainly aiming to please! It is also fun to arrive early for a drink at the bar. The live piano music is fun, too.”

“Enzo's cooks the kind of Italian food that my mom made. My family just loves this place. It is not fancy, but the food is great, the portions are huge (your leftovers will feed your family for days). If you want Italian home cooking, this is the real deal. Don't come here expecting ambience because that is not what you come for. This is a neighborhood eatery that does more take out than eat in. It is a former gas station that serves up the kind of food that you want when you don't want to cook. A great value!”

“Dined Feb. 17, 2008, 6 PM. Our party of four felt that the staff could not wait to leave the establishment (they closed at 10 PM). The owner sat with a party of two (old friends?) and seemed oblivious that others were not content with the food or service. Our order was rushed; utensils were dirty; food was mediocre; wine was bland; service was abyssmal; seating uncomfortable. Charged for an order not received and did not receive an apology when complaint was made. Too expensive for the quality, service and atmosphere. Will never return and will NEVER recommend it to others.”

“This is easily the best restaurant in West Chester. It is 100% non-smoking inside, but if you are a smoker, they have a really nice covered patio outside. The food is awesome. I am a seafood person, and their Cajun seafood is top-notch. My personal favorite is the catfish. They have a nice bar with a good selection of both draft and bottled beers. The food is a little pricey, but I think it is worth it. It is a great place to go on a date, out with friends either for happy hour or a night out. The staff is very friendly and capable.”

“There was a problem with the toilet, etc. The night I was there and I called two days later and talked to the owner about the situation and he was very arrogant and unwilling to make it right. I was impressed with everything until I spoke to the owner with a problem and was treated very poorly.”

“Try the cheese fries they are to die for! And tons of options for kids- grilled cheese, pizza, hot dogs, etc. The menu is very expansive but definitely tries the cheese steaks; people come from everywhere to try them! Check it out! (Oh, and I recommend the mint chocolate chip milkshake! yum!)”

“We had to wait for 20 minutes before we were waited on. The owner and our waiter were chatting with one of the customers during that time. They paid a lot of attention to a couple of customers who seemed to be friends of the owner. But other tables were left on their own. I saw a few people help themselves with silverware and condiments by taking them from other tables. My wife had to ask three times before she finally got a drink refill. The food was ok. Definitely not as good as what you would expect for the prices they charge.”

“First visit was fantastic. Everything was perfect. 2nd visit - may 12-mothers day- horrible - will not go back! Looking forward to one of the pasta dishes I had the first time - not on the menu-looked like a diff menu. Very noisy! Did not get bread right away, water glasses never refilled-never asked if we wanted more wine! My daughter in law's dinner was cold, my wife¿s fish was over cooked and dry (should have gone back, but were eaten out of hunger) I think the food was sitting out too long. Very poor service- very disappointed!”

“Since re-doing their dining-room to make it trendier and bringing in a new chef I think it is one of the best restaurants in the area. It is great to have a restaurant with a Manhattan type of feel to it in west Chester. Aside from great atmosphere and great food, everyone from the staff to the owners go way out of their way for the customers. They have a three course menu for $26 during the week, although we went on a Saturday night and couldn't get it; it seems like a great value.”

“If you want the best Chinese food around, you have to eat here. The food is consistently excellent. I have eaten here for 15 years and tried almost everything on the menu. If you like General Two's chicken, try it with white meat chicken. You have never tasted something so delicious. ”

“The hoagies are amazing especially the Italian hoagie. It is even better when you get it as a grinder (cooked hoagie with melted mozzarella on top).”

“I've eaten here twice. Both times the food was absolutely unbelievable. First time I went I had the Eh Toufee (sp?) and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten (you can choose what kind of meat you want, i.e. crawfish, chicken, etc, I picked the crawfish). The second time I had pasta in a white creamy sauce and once again it was unbelievably good. The pasta wasn't what I'd typically think of as Cajun, but was fantastic nonetheless. I also tried the alligator appetizer but thought it was a little salty (good even still). If you want something that you'd consider Cajun go with the Eh Toufee you won't be disappointed. It is amazing. The entries are a bit pricey (around $15) but considering this is some of the best food you will ever taste, it is well worth the price. Think about it, for $15 you could get 3 value meals at Mcdonalds or another fast food restaurant, but Crawdaddy's food is truly gourmet level. I've eaten at quite a few 4 star restaurants with a few people and spent $500 (for example Morimoto's, located in Philly, from "Iron Chef" tv show fame) and Crawdaddy's is on par or close to them and much much cheaper. The waitresses are fantastic and very congenial and prompt (and patient too). The one gripe I have with Crawdaddy's is that the restaurant is a little small and on really busy days, can get a little cramped (not too bad though). The first time I went it was busy (on a weekend) and so I felt a little cramped but the second time I went (on a weekday) it was empty and space was abundant (had our own room to ourselves). For some of the best food you have ever had, you definitely HAVE to come here. And remember, try the Eh Toufee.”

“This place has some of the best Mexican food around! The salsas are amazing, and they have a great selection of vegetarian items. Most items can also be altered to suit your needs. Everything is made fresh right when you order it, so sometimes it can take a little while to get your food, but it's worth it! The atmosphere is more diner like, which makes many people pass it over thinking it will be "fast food Mexican", but it is all authentic home cooking.”

“First time there and the food was out of this world! Great service ,patient since we had to read the whole menu ...so much to pick from. "Vadoo" sauce was hot and tasty, wonderful hot. Nice time.”

“This is one of the better Mexican Restaurants that I have eaten at. I really enjoy the feel of the restaurant which takes you to another world, with pinatas hanging on the walls to serving Mexican style drinks. The people who work there are very friendly and energetic to serve. I especially like the chicken burrito Grande. The only downfall is the chicken could be less dry, and that they would provide more salsa.”
