“Consistently good, electric menu. New Mexican selections authentic. Great location. This place is unpretentious but surprisingly good, has been around for a while and we can see why.”

“This is probably the best Chinese restaurant in Taos. Since this is a small town, that's probably good. Everyone eats here. They are closed on Tuesdays, so make other arrangements if you happen to hit it that day. The menu is very varied, and most anything you choose is good. Excellent value for your money, and the leftovers (if you have any) warm up the next day very nicely.”

“Excellent food, location and atmosphere. Desserts to die for! Rack of red deer was fabulous. Don't miss the wine list.”

“The Historic Taos Inn Hotel is amazing. The location is perfect and great food and free live entertainment will be a part of the stay. We really enjoyed the feel of Taos that oozes from the walls of this place. Neat people too. Do not miss for a special experience.”

“My family owns a home in New Mexico and we visit many times a year. For at least the past 4-5 years Orlando's has been everyone's favorite restaurant. It is tough to keep us from going there every night while we are on our trip since everyone loves the food and the restaurant overall. We have even gotten a chance to know the owner as well as his friendly family staff. As a vegetarian, I have limited choices, but I absolutely love the Christmas (green and red chile) smoothered veggie burrito. There is always enough food (I usually have plenty of leftovers for the next day), but if you can, save room for the flan or the frozen avocado pie. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. Everyone who visits Taos should make sure to check it out, you will not leave disappointed.”

“This place is awesome! The service was very good and the waitress was attentive to our needs. Drinks could have been brought sooner, but we have no idea whether or not the bar was backed up. However the drinks were made well. The view is great and the food was prepared to perfection. The deserts were wonderful! Will we be back? You bet.”

“We went to Orlando's while in Taos for a few days, having been referred there by a local person. Great food! The green chili chicken enchiladas were fantastic. Orlando's is a small, comfortable place that I would highly recommend. The prices are very reasonable, too. ”

“Wonderful food, I just love the green sauce on the chicken enchiladas. I've been coming to Taos since 2000 and make sure to eat at Orlando¿s each trip at least once if not twice! I highly recommend it to everyone. It's fun to sit around the outside fire pit and have great conversations with other travelers. Looking forward to my next visit.”

“I was staying next door at the Indian spring¿s inn, and walked over not really knowing what to expect. They had a wonderful wine selection, using the correct redial glassware. After some wine, we shared a meal, which was an outstanding value considering the quality and quantity of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great glass of wine and a great meal.”

“The view is extraordinary; but unfortunately, that's where it ended. The road up needs some major work. I would drive up, have a drink and maybe an appetizer or dessert, but forget the meals. We were seated at a horrible little ante way between the bar and the main dining room, despite making reservations and being early for the dinner rush. There was no ambiance inside the restaurant. I had a Peppered Fillet that was supposed to be Medium Rare that was absolutely burnt to a crisp. The waitress was helpful, sending it back, apologizing for the wait, and checking to make sure the second round was better--it was. But the asparagus was tough, nothing was presented in any special way. I can get better than this at any greasy spoon. My suggestion: Drive up if you dare--but stay away from the entries.”

“Indoors you will find it a little crowded, the only reason it's not preferable with small children, however still very romantic and intimate. And that doesn't stop us from taking our children! Outdoors, great patio dining. Blue corn enchiladas are like no other! The only item I've ordered in about 13-15 visits because they're so good I just can't pass them up.”

“I visit Taos often and no trip is complete without a meal here; the Apple tree Salad is incredible, enchiladas delicious. Sangria is great too! An awesome atmosphere, whether dining indoors in colder weather or in the patio during the summer, a happening crowd and friendly staff.”

“We love Outback! We go there every time we visit Taos from San Antonio. This past trip we went twice in three days! The salad dressing is unbelievably delicious! The homemade soups are the best, and of course, the pizza is remarkable. One huge slice of pizza is all you need. We love it.”

When Richard Vick owned this great spot, we were vacationing regulars. Will visit in late August to see what is up now. Still have the T-Shirt, memories of the "Silver" tenderloin with green chile and the scotch collection. ”

“The Bistro offers a unique menu of Mediteranean and American cuisine, it is NOT an ethnic restaurant as mentioned in your description. For lunch the Buffalo Burger is a great treat, the various pastas are excellent and they have a great wine selection. The dinner menu is equally attractive and specials are always offered. The Yellow Fin Tuna appetizer is great, grilled salmon and pork chops are other great tasting items.”
