“This is good place to go if you want to spend way too much money for out of date food. On our visit we had to constantly listen to the manager yell at everyone over personal business, not a good quality restaurant.”

“My fiance and I used to love Texas Roadhouse! The last few times we went though have been majorly disappointing. When we were seated, our waitress brought us the rolls with cinnamon butter as they normally do. The rolls were hard and we found a generous piece of a latex glove in the butter. The buckets on our table used for peanuts had what appeared to be mold covering the insides. When we reported these disappointments to the manager on duty, she simply said she was sorry and walked away. Needless to say, we have found a new favorite restaurant.”

“Can't believe I have lived in Wilmington for almost 6 years and just now discovered Heck Of A Peck! I was greeted at the door by the owner as well as staff, all friendly. The raw oysters (husked in front of me) were so fresh and tasty. The homemade cocktail sauce was served warm and extra horseradish was available. I left very full and happy.”

“This is a hidden locals favorite diner that simply serves great food at a great price. Nothing is pretentious here. This is just good home-style cooking. The breakfasts are eye-appealing and great. There are diner lunch specials like pork chops (2 for $7) or rib eyes ($9) each with your choice of 3 sides. The sides include rice & gravy, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, cucumbers & tomatoes, beans, etc. This is true blue-plate special diner food all cooked to perfection. They also serve burgers and hot dogs and handmade desserts like apple pie. You will also have to look closely to even find it. The building and the parking lot are hid among the trees. The inside is light and airy and tourist free for the most part.”

“We wanted a nice dinner a picked this place. What we got was a Hostess who did not want to give us the time of day, bartender was the same. Once we were seated we were give water that had a Tap water taste and had a smell. The silverware, (once we got it was dirty. Looking around at the empty tables we noticed the wine glasses looked dirty. Once the food was brought out is a huge disappointment. We had ordered the Prime Rib. It was over cooked a dry. The potatoes (garlic smashed) had no Garlic taste. The Asparagus was way under cooked. We spent $65.00 for a meal that was not worth $20.00. For it to be an expensive restaurant it has the character of a McDonalds. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would love if they had their own Website so I could complain.”

“We went to this restaurant as it was opposite our hotel and we were tired and hungry. However, it ended up being the best decision we made. The food was absolutely amazing (try the crap dip appetizer) and both the service and atmosphere was great. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Unbelievable! It might cost a little more than other seafood places but the food is outstanding. They even shuck the oysters for you. My shocker was fast! Fastest Iżve ever seen, actually. ”

“First off: The name is Rossi's Not Rossi's. You can't go wrong no matter what you order. This is outstanding Italian cuisine. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. We had just returned from a trip to the Tuscany and Sorrento regions of Italy and were delighted when we saw that the decor of this restaurant is modeled after and Italian courtyard--beautiful and romantic. This is a restaurant that should not be missed.”

“Excellent food. Fast, friendly service. The portions are large. A great value for the money. All entres come with a salad and a 'side' of your choice. I had Chicken Burre with Goat Cheese which was served on a bed of sauteed spinach and topped with sauteed sun-dried tomatoes. The salad was chock full of bacon, shredded cheese, tender white asparagus..The blue chese dressing was the best I ever had. I chose a side of Mushrooms Cabernet--so wonderful I dipped my crusty french roll in it.”

“I ate outside at Pilot House and had a wonderful meal and experience. I started with a wedge of lettuce salad with blue cheese crumbles, red onion and blue cheese dressing. It was excellent. I had the sweet potato crusted grouper and it was great. It also had 4 mushroom ravioli that accompanied it and a wonderful light sauce. What a great meal and evening. ”

“We arrived at our reserved time and were seated immediately. As soon as we were seated, our waitress approached with water and menus. Since this is one of the more upscale restaurants in Wilmington, I expected this. Our waitress, however, didn't offer any information about the specials. It was nine pm, maybe they were out of specials. My partner and I tried to order a glass of a fairly common Australian Shiraz. They were out of Shiraz. At this point I was starting to wonder. It's Friday night, it's an upscale restaurant, it's not crowded, and they are out of a common wine. Our waitress did not propose an alternative. I opted for water. For an entry I ordered the 10 oz prime rib. My partner ordered the crab cakes. The salads that came with the meal were excellent. The blue cheese dressing was superb. My partner said her crab cakes were a little salty but good. You could have made a pair of combat boots out of my prime rib. Note that the restaurant advertises that their beef is all Angus and simply wonderful. I informed our waitress that my prime rib was tough. She neither apologized for the restaurant nor did she bring a manager over to the table. I got the distinct impression that these people just don't care. I have eaten at this restaurant before and had good experiences. I could not help but think that this place is going downhill. I will not return.”

“The service is slow. The food is good but Rosie's is much better. Rosie's is on military cutoff rd. In the landfall shopping center. The service at Rosie's is excellent and the food is much better then port city.”

“I love eating at Texas Roadhouse. Ten times better than Texas Steakhouse. I usually get the Ft. Worth Ribeye with sauteed onions and mushrooms with chili and a stuffed sweet potato on the side. I have been many times and the food has been perfect all but one time... and they fixed it then. Sometimes the chili is alot hotter than normal, so there top-shelf Margarita goes with it perfectly. We eat there almost every week to two weeks.”
