• Friendly waiters.
• RUDE manager.

“I always take out of town guests to D J's, but never again! My friend hated the Pot Pie she ordered, so she asked to speak to the manager. The woman said that she was also the owner and insisted on knowing what was wrong with the order. My friend told her repeatedly that she just didn't like it and wanted to order something different. The manager could only say, why you don't like it? We sell hundreds before. Everybody likes it. You only took two bites. Try more. My friend insisted that two bites was enough, but her message didn't get through. We all tried to speak up for our timid friend, but the manager just snapped at us and said I am talking to her only, I didn't ask you''. The manager finally asked the waiter to just bring my friend a piece of chocolate cake and then charged us for the Pot Pie and the cake!Never again!”

• The atmosphere is still nice and anyone would enjoy it.
• Poor food quality, not worth the increased prices.

“Recently the food has lost quality, and the prices have gone up. For example, yesterday the country style steak tasted rancid, the chicken pot pie had chunks of ham included (yes, ham), and the rolls were hard. The green beans were soggy and stringy. I had the decaf coffee and strongly suspect that it was regular because last night I could not go to sleep for hours.”

“Told by the bartender the pizza's were very good; we ordered a deluxe and this had to be one of the worst pizza's I have ever tasted; most frozen pizza's out rate the one we were served.”

Spankys Homemade Ice Cream

“Spankys is a Salisbury institution. The food is great and the people behind the counter always have a smile for you. The ice cream is made on the premises and is the best. The atmosphere is authenticate ice cream parlor. Ceiling fans and pressed tin ceiling. If you want to enjoy your food in a friendly atmosphere, then Spankys is the place to go. Well worth the drive if you are anywhere in the area.”

“Our group of 5 couples visited Wrenn House recently. We requested separate checks which seemed to be no problem. When time came to pay the bill, the server stated only 2 coupons for buy one get one free would be honored. We spoke with the manager who would not budge. We have eaten at the Wrenn House regularly in the past and had business banquets there. This visit, one salmon entree arrived at the table raw and cold in the middle. It was sent back and returned only slightly more cooked - still inedible in the middle. The service was slow and sporadic. There has been no response to a letter to the owner. Over about $60 worth of food, this restaurant has lost a great deal more in business. We will not return until the ownership changes.”

• Lots of parking, nice neighborhood.
• Food was disappointing.

“The restaurant was virtually empty. We had the special and a chicken dish. The special consisted of 3 types of salads one of which contained a pasta dish. I had the chicken dish which was served over rice which was rather dry and hard. Overall, the food was disappointing. The atmosphere was ok and service was pretty good. I most likely will not go back.”

• Queensland Chicken and Shrimp.
• Sometimes slow service.

“This is the place to go if you like delicious steak or shrimp. Even the children's menu offers a nice variety. The restaurant is now smoke-free, which had kept us from going as often before. The food is always cooked to my husband's specifications who is very particular about how his steak is cooked.”

• Good food, nice clean restaurant, great atmosphere.
• Manager is disrespectful, rude and nasty!

“Dj's is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your meal. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and polite. The overall prices are ok for a family or just a night out on the town. However, if you have a problem with your meal, please report it immediately! If you order your meal or meals to go, please check for accuracy and if for some reason you are not satisfied, please call and report it immediately! The manager is absolutely awful! She is rude, nasty, obnoxious and most of all, loud! Do not expect a refund or a replacement if your food is not good, or a discount if you are a fire fighter or in law enforcement. This is one restaurant where the customer is not always right or refunded!”

• Everything.

“This is absolutely the worst dining experience I have had. Contacted corporate customer service three times and no response. The food was terrible, spoiled steaks, service was terrible. Had to ask for beverages, bread, refills and salads. It took approximately 45 minutes for our meals to be delivered to the table. Never saw the same waiter/waitress twice. Half of the people in our party got sick. Would not recommend to my dog or anyone else's for that matter.”

• Chefs cooking in front of your table.
• Prices.

“This restaurant features chefs that cook in front of your table. The food is great and so is the atmosphere but the prices are a little high. Be prepared to spend 25 a person.”
