Pour House, The

• Tables close to the bar are noisy.

“Steaks are wonderful, juicy, tasty and cooked to order. Salad comes with egg and shrimp. Great value. Love the place.”

“My wife and I have been going to the Pour House for over 20 years. The burgers are the best in world, juicy, mouth watering, covered with onions and mushrooms and with the cheddar cheese sauce its superb!! Really great! We were in Hawaii 20 years ago and believe it or not, we craved for a Pour house burger with cheddar cheese. I am going there tonight. There are many good burger places, but none, and I mean none that can compare. Other food dishes are also good. If you like an old fashioned juicy burger, this is the place to go.”

• Location.
• Dingy little quick shop.

“This is not the grist mill. This is the little convenience store next door. It looks like it was once a gas station and has the entire ambiance that goes along with that. It does some good business, but I think that has more to do with its location than anything.”

• Good food and price.
• Daughters story.

“It is o.k. You get your moneys worth; the same owner does own all of them. However, my daughter told me (who used to work at main street) some cooks did not wear gloves which sort of freaks me out a little. By law they do not have to it is just a little iffy, however the food is good. Burgers are essential to all of the restaurants and get the 'special cheddar cheese'. To die for!”

“This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Jersey... The food is absolutely to die for.... The service has always been wonderful, and the restaurant offers very pretty views of a big waterfall outside (if I'm not mistaken, that IS 'Tinton Falls'). Don't miss your chance to try this place!”

“Same people that own the "Grist Mill". Great restaurant, very rustic in decor, but great food and a fair price. There are a bunch of restaurants on Shrews bury Ave.--They ALL pale in comparison (read: they STINK) compared to the Pour House.”

• Great Restaurant-beautiful view.
• Wish they would add the Shrimp/Egg house salad.

“Great Restaurant--The same owners also own/operate "The Sitting Duck" (in Long Branch), "Main Street USA" (Ocean Township) and the "Pour House" (in Shrews bury), the Grist Mill is great, but they don't carry "The House Salad" as do the others--so wish they did! All four restaurants are lovely, casual, fresh food, good specials and fairly priced. Enjoy these restaurants!...and if there is a bit of a wait--be patient, the fare is worth it.”

• The view, the food is great.
• No complaints.

“I love this restaurant. Its one of my favorites of all time. The crab melt always are incredible. The view is beautiful. Try and get a seat by the window if possible. I go there time and time again for a wonderful meal.”
