“Good home cooking family owned and operated for several generations. Have eaten there about a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Simple food simple menu. White bread made on site and along with their pies are for sale and remind me of simpler times. The pie is what comes after dinner if you have room. The menu is simple and never changing but I love the fried chicken. A great day trip to Highpoint State Park and lunch/Dinner at Elias Cole.”

“This pizza is amazing! My friends and I get a pie at least once a week and we have never been disappointed. In fact, I met my girl friend of two years there! The other menu items are also outstanding, and the service matches.”

“As avid outdoorsmen I was surprised when I found this little gem of a spot that offers a great lunch, a great beverage selection and an honest opinion on what the area has to offer in the way of hunting and fishing. The company in the bar may be a little too rough for families with young children, unless they are bikers who don't mind an occasional curse or two! A true thumbs up in my book!”

“No handicap facilities at all, food was cold and the manager was very shallow and uncaring about my concerns with the diner. Parking on main street was very difficult.”

“This restaurant is exactly what it is. If you are looking for fancy, hip, or current you are in the wrong place. The service is always good. It's old fashioned cooking; it's what food tasted like when I grew up in the 70's. Aside from the veggies the food has always been good. The pies are amazing, this from someone who thought she didn't like pie. We make a special trip to buy them for the holidays just like my husband's grandfather did.”

“When I get a yearning for meat loaf as I like it, I go to The Elias Cole and combine it with an excursion to Highpoint. Just basic on the menu but the standard fare, meat loaf, turkey and roast beef is great. Served with thick white bread, it's like a meal from the 1950's if that is your desire. The vegetables are canned. The pies are home-made. Knotty pine just like years ago. Never had breakfast there but it were just ending and looked good. Limited menu. ”
