• Service.

“The food was good, the roaming singer was a nice touch, but the service was pretty bad. We were seated and no one came over. Another couple came in after us, sat down, had their menus and were drinking their wine and still no one came to our table. Finally the owner came over and took our drink menus. The waiter arrived with no apologies and a snooty attitude. He also became angry at a bus person right in front of us. I did like the atmosphere and the food was delicious. There is a very small upstairs room where we sat on another visit and it was very romantic.”

• Owner was very friendly, wonderful descriptions of food.
• Priced a little too high.

“Its clean but a little gaudy for my tastes. The owner did double duty as the waiter, he was polite, friendly and his descriptions of the dishes made you want to try everything. It seemed like we were waiting forever before he even asked us if we wanted drinks or bread.”

• Place was great, the meal was not inexpensive though.
• Right on highway, easy to miss.

“Very intimate, young social staff: we hay have been spoiled due to a slow rainy night, fairly expensive but food was excellent.”

• Like the feel of the place family like.
• Sometimes get a bad waitress here and there.

“The diner has been there forever so they must be doing something good there. Look in the past couple of years they opened the paramount diner and that was brand new, and closed already, and the Sayreville diner was opened, closed, and reopened. Yet the Pank is steady as the day is long, open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Not many other diners can say that anymore.”

• Been there forever good service and good food.
• Have to wait on Sundays so busy .

“First off how can it smell like smoke when smoking is banned in restaurants. second I disagree I think the food is very good and I feel the staff and all are very nice.”
