“This is a horrible restaurant as all the food tastes the same. When I ate there I couldn't even hear myself think due to all the sawing and hammering and grinding in the back room. Sounds like bomb building to me.”

“We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. It would have been longer if we had not pursued the issue. The food was okay. They gave us fried bananas for desert. The chief was good, he joked around a lot. When the chief left they came around with to go boxes, bags, and cups for the sauces, while we were all still eating. I thought it was a little rude, like they were rushing us. The parking lot is small, your better off parking at one of the hotels next door.”

“We felt very comfortable in the restaurant from the moment we walked in the door and the owner, greeted us and showed us to our table. She along with the wait staff were friendly and great in helping us select foods that we found to be very tasty. The menu was extensive and all four of us easily found dishes we liked. You could tell that the food was homemade and not fast food or canned. We liked the salad dressing so much we bought a bottle to take home along with several pastries as you could tell they also were homemade - the Baklava was divine. It was nice to see a Greek restaurant that was not fast food and served complete dinners. The menu was extensive and had a good variety of Greek dishes offered. We also found out that they do catering and I will be using them for some of my meetings soon. Overall we were happy and definitely will be going back soon!”

“Greektown in Detroit is authentic and superb! The Acropolis in Greensboro was a huge disappointment. The food was bland, the portions were small, and the prices were high. We actually had to order a second appetizer after we had finished our first appetizer and entrees because the portions were so small. Again, but not small in price.”

“The atmosphere was nice, the chef was very fun and made great food. The service was some of the best I have ever had, I believe is name was Kevin, so make sure to request him if you go, he wasn't bad looking either. But anyway we had a great time and had plenty of food left over.”

“Our waiter was kind and very considerate, prompt service was provided. The managers were polite and friendly, my steak was not to my liking. Bad choice on my part. The waiter got the manager and he promptly exchanged it with a smile. I enjoy this restaurant and have been coming here for about 7 years.”

“I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. First of all, we had reservations and waited 5 minutes before we saw a living person at the hosted stand. Then when seated, it took forever to get drinks and appetizers ordered when there were only two other tables seated in the whole restaurant. There was bread plates and butter on the table, but no bread. We ordered expensive appetizers that we waited 30 minutes on. After we ate our appetizers, our free bread came out. Our dinner entrées were on one the menu as coming with salads and sides of linguine. I mixed the sauces around a bit so that the sides didn't have two red sauces or two Alfred sauces on the pasta side. After ordering, the waiter came out and said, that one dish didn't come with the side, there would be extra charges for the switching of sauces, because one dish was a certain dish, it didn't it had a special surcharge - none of which were on the menu. We were in the restaurant, that again, had a total of 5 tables at the most, from 7:15 pm, to 9:45. Two adults and two children. When the bill came, it was over $85.00. I was appalled as this was no where what the prices should have been based on the menu, even with two glasses of wine, which were the only alcoholic beverages we ordered. I gave my credit card and when the bill was returned, they changed it to $91.58! The waiter said, someone checked his math and it was wrong so they just changed it. This was the last straw. He sent the manager out, who was in the back cooking. He came out and admitted that our meal was a mess. He said that was how it was when you were training all new people. It was obvious that all of their equipment was old and outdated. He said, all he could say was he was sorry and maybe he could give us a discount next time. I said, maybe I should take a digital picture of the outrageous tab that they'd been writing all over that you could barely read and send it into Go-Triad or something. This experience was the worst dining experience that I have had in many years. I had guest in from out of town and was so embarrassed that I could have died.”

“I really enjoy the food at the Outback Restaurant. The free bread and the salads are the best in the world. I've been to the finest and most expensive types and yet to eat food as delicious as the outback. My only concern is that although there is a bar inside, the smoke that often fills the room is quite overwhelming which has often cause difficulty for me.”

“I used to come there often but the last time I came should be it for me. Arigato used to be a classy and clean place to eat. but now when I come it full of rude and disgusting people that includes customers and staff. I was so disappointed. I came to have a good time and enjoy my meal. I will never come back again.”

“Really excellent Italian food and friendly service. Try the specials rather than hitting the menu, because that's what they want to cook that night. Also good value on the wine list, and you can try just about everything by the glass. If the service seems a little slow, it's because they're making everything from scratch, and it shows when it gets to the table. Plenty of parking. Amalfi is regular little gem, and we're going back soon.”

“Food was very disappointing. I ordered rib eye steak med. It was burnt tasting and red on inside the baked potato was held to long and only warm. The staff never checked to see if food was prepared correctly. The prices were high and food not good. Probably will not visit this restaurant again.”

“Very disappointed today. A friend and I went in for a late lunch 3 PM or so on a Wednesday afternoon. We were greeted nicely promptly seated. A waitress came over and asked for our drink order, which was served in a timely manner then things began to go poorly. The waitress must have taken about 15-20 minutes to come back to see if we were ready to order I have never done this before, but I was ready to walk out and go to the Olive Garden across the street. When the waitress did come to take our order we asked if she was the only waitress and she answered yes. We asked if it would take long for the meal, and she said it wouldn't take long. When she brought our salads she said the bread was in the oven and would be another 3 minutes or so. The salads were really good, very fresh, prepared nicely and tasted really good. The waitress brought out the rolls and though I like my yeast rolls lightly browned and really moist on the inside, a couple of the rolls were doughy in the middle *some were not* as if they'd been taken out early. Twenty minutes after our meal was ordered it was served I believe this is perfectly reasonable. The foods were great steak, ribs, shrimp, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables but the service from the waitress continued to be very slow, and though not rude, not really friendly either. We needed steak sauce, and the extra napkin with the lemon to clean hands with after the ribs, and it was difficult to get her attention. Some people had come in after us and were served drinks first and salads and their meals before us. It was very frustrating and not a relaxing late lunch at all. The bathroom was clean, and the waitress did promptly take our lunch plates as we finished eating, and she did provide the bill (double checking to be sure it was for us) and receipt in a timely manner. Also, a side note, as people left their tables were not bussed (cleaned off). If you are looking for pricey but good food without much service, I guess this would be an okay restaurant; however, I prefer to have good or wonderful service along with good food especially if it is a bit pricey.”

“Chose this restaurant for my valentines celebration. I had someone I wanted to impress and I wanted a great meal with great atmosphere, no matter the cost. When we arrived we found a long wait even though we had a reservation. I expected this, I mean it was valentines. When finally seated it appeared that the management had added several tables. The tables were so close together that I could raise my arm and touch the party at the table next to me. A friend of mine who also had dinner that night who has eaten at this restaurant before indicated that many extra tables had been added. Anyway the point here is atmosphere was compromised for profit. It was impossible to have a private or intimate conversation with my date as she was sitting the same distance from me ( Sitting across from me) as the couples at the table on the right and left of me. Each couple overheard our conversation and actually butted in. I was so disappointed even before the server arrived at my table. Then the server comes, eventually brings our food, which if you are familiar with the restaurant they serve their steaks on piping hot plates to keep your steak warm throughout the meal. Well mine was unusual as the plate side of the setak was very hot and the top side was very cold. Odd feeling. My Friend and I discussed this and thought to ourselves that the restaurant must be pre-cooking steaks to handle the volume for all the extra tables they had brought into the restaurant that evening. I just wasn't impressed at all. Then at the end of the meal the waiter came to our table and to the tables beside us and stated that he had a friend who had just opened up a salon in town and he was trying to get her some business so he laid her business card on our tables. I just wasn't impressed with any part of this meal that the chain calls "The Experience". I only experienced them reaching deep into my wallet for an average meal in a below average atmosphere. The bill was $137, this was for steak dinners for 2 with salad and 1 side item. For $100 less I could have a better steak in a semi private booth at another steak house. I did contact management to let them know how little I enjoyed my visit. The GM sent me an email asking me to contact him to talk about it. I called his cell phone, left him a message with my phone number but he didn't have the courtesy to return the call. There are many better places to eat than this one. What I expected for the elevated prices was #1 Quality, I did not get this. #2 an atmosphere that was conductive to an intimate evening with someone I love on a special day, I didn't get this either. I am not sure what the restaurant means when they say it is "The Experience". It just was not good at all. Try the Chop house, in my opinion it is much better.”

“The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere involved polished wood, plants, some mirrors and spotlights - better than most as it lends itself to private conversation. The food was abysmal - the shrimp pasta salad was described as light and creamy but it was heavy and gloppy. My goodness, do they think garlic solves all! It is one of those meals that nag at you for hours. I could not eat much of it. The side salad and bread were good.”

“This "restaurant" is actual a 'gourmet' hot dog palace serving the best hot dogs in the universe. It has been run by the same family for at least 2 and perhaps 3 generations. It has become embedded in the UNC at Greensboro campus as the university has expanded around it over time. It has a very diverse clientele ranging from current students at UNCG to seniors who have been going there since they were students to professionals and laborers who stop in for a quick delicious lunch. Their menu consist primarily of hot dogs (try them "al the way"), several favors of "home made" ice cream made on the premises, chips and soft drinks. Who could ask for anything more. I grew up in Greenville, NC and now live in Atlanta. I.”

“IPD is a locally-owned restaurant operated by long-term restaurants in Greensboro. I normally would go for lunch and get one of their great burgers, but I learned yesterday that they started serving breakfast a few months ago. I ordered a country ham biscuit and it was huge and delicious. The biscuits were homemade by the owner's wife. This casual place, and it's great for families or casual business breakfasts/lunches. It is also open for dinner. I'll definitely be back!”

“Arigato's is my favorite restaurant ever! The food is always above-excellent, and the service is usually great despite the huge numbers of people that are always there. The show is entertaining, the chefs are all top-notch, and the shrimp and dipping sauces are to die for. The price is what you make it, depending on how you order, but generally the rates are reasonable. Sometimes if the fans aren't working properly (which is rare) it can get a little smoky, the wait can be a little crazy nights and weekends due to the restaurant's popularity so I wouldn't recommend going on a spontaneous decision (but reservations are easy to make), and you always leave smelling like the restaurant, but those are the only downsides.”

“A slightly more upscale IHOP. This is a decent place, but I was disappointed with my last visit. My meal was served cold and it turned out to be a different version of what I had ordered. When they took it back, I had to wait a fairly long time for the correct order to arrive. After all that, I expected them to comp my portion of the bill, but this was not done. This is penny - wise and pound-foolish in my opinion. ”

“Usually, very good food, but different chefs prepare the same menu items different ways. I have been disappointed here once or twice. Service, very good. Atmosphere. Well, it can be very loud in this restaurant, so at times it certainly is not romantic. However, when it is not very busy, the atmosphere is actually quite pleasant. I like this restaurant. It is a shame that the food quality is not consistent.”

“This restaurant is very much overrated. The food is good, but not nearly worth the price. The restaurant is loud; my date and I had to yell to hear each other. On top of all that, the staff is very rude. The hostess rolled her eyes upon hearing that it was our first visit to lucky 32. The manager, a thin blonde woman, visited our table at one point, and she was completely fake, disinterested, and stuck-up. Apparently, these people thought they were too good for us; in that case, they won't miss our business.”

“I frequent this restaurant often and am always pleased with the quality of the food as well as the show. The ambiance is fairly authentic (we know Japanese steakhouses aren't authentic, but...). I recommend their USDA Choice Fillet Mignon and Shrimp Dinner combination. The service is a bit iffy sometimes if you get a bad waitress. If you're into sushi, they have a solid sushi bar as well as most of traditional Japanese's dishes (not bad, coming from someone who is Japanese himself). Only downside is that they have a limited sushi menu if you sit at the teppanyaki tables.”

“Intimate atmosphere, fabulous chef and wait staff, solid wine list and stellar music (Mondays and Thursdays). Not to be missed. My wife and I have made every Thursday night into a ritual, romantic evening beginning with fine dining and serious live jazz (Scott Adair, Greg Hyslop and Craig Whittaker have played with the best of them). You will get to know Reid, Clint and Jason (and they you) almost immediately and be back again and again and again.”

“While the prices at Arigato may be cheaper than other Japanese steakhouses, the quality does not compare. The Filet Mignon I had was so tough I could not even eat it. Literally, my rice was crunchy and the vegetables were bitter. I have never been so disappointed with a meal in my life. I informed my server of these issues and she proceeded to shrug her shoulders and walk away. I will never go back to Arigato and I hope others will take this review to heart and save their money. ”

I was not given any flatware when we were seated because the waiter said that it was being washed, when I got it was dirty and I had to eat with a knife. We had to wait 30 before we could pay for our food when we left. I had to ask for my slaw twice, and it was hot. They had a full house of customers and only one person at the check out register. It was the worse experience I have ever had at Mayflowers.”
