“Unhealthy! Don't waste your time and money, this place looks really good from the outside but as soon as you get inside you will be hugged by a dense smoke coming from the grills. It's difficult to breath and even to see another person just 4 or 5 feet away from you. If you have kids don't go there, is not healthy for any one. Also, they have parking limitations and even-though at Newark NJ you can double park without a problem your car can perfectly be towed by a towing company that works in conjunction with the Mediterranean Manor.”

“I have eaten at this location a few times and for some reason the food is not that good and half the time, the orders come out wrong. I always give the location the benefit of the doubt. I have also stayed after 9pm for the club/lounge screen and I felt very unsafe. I would frequently go out side to get some fresh air and watch the security not checking some of the people, seem to be friends I guess. The most disturbing things were the controlled substances. At times on the second floor you can see people distributing and I have even heard of the security doing the same well, this is my take on this place, the rest is up to you.”

• Artificial fireplace was good.
• Bad parking, making you wait for 2 hours even though you have a reservation. What's the point of having a reservation if they will make you wait for 2 hours!

“We had worst experience at Fornos ( located at Newark, NJ) ! Even though we made a previous reservation for a 7pm dinner, we waited for 2 hours and had no choice but to walk out of the restaurant. The receptionist did not even bother to give us any estimate on how long we would still have to wait. They do not care about their customers! They continued to accept customers even though they knew the place was already packed and lots of people were already waiting for tables and didn't care if the customers were complaining.”

• Easily accessible by mass transit.
• Have never driven to this restaurant.

“Best food experience Ive had. Expert waits staff willing to cater to your every whim, but respects privacy. Relaxing atmosphere with time to linger - no sense of time here. Plenty of scrumptious food. Prepare to take leftovers home. Just come in and sit down; in a few moments, delicious food begins to appear.”

• We were able to park in the adjoining lot.
• From soup (which was not available) to dessert which we skipped!

“I was terribly disappointed after having heard that this was an authentic Basque restaurant. It is not! At best, the food is traditional ordinary Spanish fare. There is absolutely no attempt to infuse the menu with any of the nouvelle cuisine now so popular in Spain. Aside form mediocre food, the ambience is noisy and unappealing. Tables are stacked up against each other and the service is rude and haphazard. The hostess/owner displays arrogance and has no concern for her patrons and their experience in her restaurant. It seems that this restaurant has seen its time and should make way for a more modern, appetizing eatery. Perhaps, it should update knowledge of Spanish cuisine.”

• Parking lot not trustworthy. Walk or take a cab.

“Food good, bad location. Don't trust parking lot. If you want to enjoy a good meal while vandals break into your car, this is the place to dine.”

• I liked finally walking out the door! Forever!
• I hated the attitude of the owner who could not have been ruder!

“My family and I ate here on a recent Saturday night. Not only did we wait for over 2 hours to be seated, we waited another hour to be served dinner! Even worse, they had run out of nearly every special! The food was mediocre. They had also run out of soup which usually accompanies every meal and served a pathetic small salad of iceberg lettuce and one sliced tomato to 4 people. It was the equivalent of a single serving!”

• The TV in the lounge works.
• After 2 hours and 15 minutes of waiting we left, hungry.

“We heard great things about this restaurant so we decided to head out and try it. I figured an hour wait was typical at 815 on a Saturday night so we sat at the bar and happily drank some sangria. Then ten o'clock hit. And then 1015.and then 1030.there was still 8 couples waiting for a table in front of us. We kept our spirits in it for 2 hours because once you've waited 90 minutes you feel obligated to wait it out. But after 2 hours and 15 minutes with no table in sight we walked across the street to the comparable Iberia. We ate voraciously and felt let down by the whole situation. If the wait is ridiculous, say so, don't tell me about an hour. Never eaten there, don't plan on eating there either.”

• The food is full of flavor- customer service incomparable.
• Dinning room a little crowded- not very kid friendly.

“A must see! The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the wait staff does not believe in keeping you waiting. A quaint little restaurant that offers a little taste of Spain!”

• Excellent food and service.
• Overpriced cocktails.

“Our party of four had a fantastic experience. Harry visiting from LA, Rosary from Long Island, my wife, Charlye, and I from Medford. Harry, Rosary and Charlye had various fish dinners. I had the spinach, tomato, mushroom sauce covered veal chops. Charlye had Snapper Francaise, an ultra fresh fish with a seasoned flour coating. Rosary, stuffed salmon, Harry, fresh salmon. All were excellent. Dinner is served with family style salad, rice and hot bread. Also included was a plate of little, round tostito-like disks. The bill came to $130 before tip, quite reasonable for the above servings plus an overpriced call brand cocktail ($10.50), a glass of house wine ($5.00), a cup of coffee and two deserts (each served with two spoons). The wait staff was friendly and efficient, keeping the table clean, the water glasses full, and catering to our ever need. Harry, from California, wondered out loud if Fono caters parties. ”
