• Nothing.
• Lack of service, cold food, dismissive owner.

“It is a shame that another restaurant bites the dust when it comes to customer service. With the struggling economy one would think that customer service would be the #1 priority for owners of any service oriented business. Let me assure you that Briggs has no interest in serving the customer. Perhaps its a combination of being in business for a while and having those loyal customers that the owner has gotten complacent, whatever the reason she is making a mistake. There is no need to go into the whole story but the simple facts are there were four adults sitting down trying to have an enjoyable breakfast and instead were all scared and wondering what in the world they did to receive such a mean and horrible attitude the entire time. The other major point is the server yelled at one of the customers as well as ran outside after her. Having a terrible experience there I decided to speak with the owner in hopes of clearing things up and giving feedback which one would think is important to an owner of a business. The owner had no interest in hearing what happened, instead went on to assure me that the server was a wonderful person and would never be fired. It was never the intent to have anyone fired, the intent was to inform the owner so the owner can help the server become better and improve. The owner was not in the restaurant at the time so her only knowledge of this incident was speaking on the phone to the server first and then to me. I had every intention of clearly stating the facts but it was evident that the moment the owner called me her mind was made up. Certainly there are positive things about supporting your staff and standing behind them, it is quite another to ignore paying customers all together. Luckily there are numerous restaurants in this area that have great service and serve a tasty meal. I will never step foot into Briggs again and even though the amount of money my family normally would have spent there is not huge, I would rather spend it elsewhere purely out of principal. Shame on the owner for not being better, she should always be striving to improve her staff so in turn the customers stay loyal. I thought that was business 101.”

• Good food. Good drinks. Good service.
• The bar can get a little crowded at times, but never overwhelming.

“Macgregor's is great local spot with good food, an extensive menu selection and fast friendly service. Everyone waits on everyone, so you never have to wait for a specified server to return to your table to get what you want, when you want it. There is a restaurant section as well as a bar section, with an outdoor patio section in between the two. In the bar section, there are TV's all around the bar and games like touch screen, football and darts. So whether you are in the mood for a quiet dinner with the family or a night out with your friends, if you are in the Cary area I would highly recommend Macgregor's.”

• Plenty of food for the money.
• I always get too much.

“The food is always excellent; the staff is very nice and quick. One of the few places I have seen where Latinos come to eat. The outside is rather homely as it doesn't really tell what a really nice interior it has.”

• The disappointment you feel after dining there.

“Horrible management, no guest resolution abilities whatsoever. Service is an atrocity at best, and an insult to those who spend that kind of money and expect a higher level of service. I have had more attentive employees at a McDonald's drive through.”

• I loved the atmosphere, waiters, and desserts.
• It was the weekend and it did get kind of busy but because everyone wanted to stay longer.

“I went to jack asters with my friends and we had a blast. The waiters were funny, the atmosphere was fun and the fact that their desserts are amazing didn't hurt either. All in all, we ended up having a great night. ”

• Nice bathrooms.
• Food poisoning, understaffed, tasteless food.

“I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, when we recently stopped by there for dinner. They were extremely short-staffed and stressed out, with our waitress visibly irritated and extremely forgetful. The service was poor, though they were never rude. I had a steak, which they undercooked, and a bowl of the chicken gumbo soup. My fiancée had the grilled salmon and a Caesar salad. The food did not taste very good. The next morning, I had a horrible case of food poisoning. When I told my sister, she confessed that she and her husband stopped going when they would both get mildly sick after each visit. Avoid this restaurant if you can.”

• Very clean, non-smoking, good food, game room for the kids.
• Beer and wine only.

“This was a great choice for our family. They have a nice game room so the kids were not confined. There are numerous TV's with sports and news. The food was outstanding, and it's non-smoking.”
