Kaname Restaurant
Feb 9, 2009 by David from Cliffside Park, NJ

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[7] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • Miso soup, because it had been boiled (clean).
  • Unsanitary conditions made sushi unappetizing.

“Unsanitary conditions made us and our friends stop going there.”

Villa Amalfi
May 12, 2008 by Donna Kacperowski from Rutherford NJ

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[5] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[2]

  • Food was homemade and very tasty.
  • Buffet was never replenished. Very expensive and not worth it.

“Food was gone, basically, after we made one trip to the buffet & was never replenished, to the point where most of us left hungry and people were standing around complaining. Desert was stale and by the time we got there, the Cannoli were gone and never brought back out, the sugared croissants were stale and there was not a cookie or chocolate cake in sight. Spoons were never brought to the table and our dishes were cleared only after we made a stack at one end. The worst part is, after all that, we got the bill which had a mandatory 20% gratuity included! I have never been to a buffet with a 20% gratuity. Definitely not the best buffet in Bergen County. Please don't bring your mother here, unless you don't like her!”

Food:[8] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • The food and beer.
  • The men rooms are a little antiquated.

“The restaurant is a little small, but the bar is the place to eat anyway. Friendly people and service. Cool atmosphere. The best calamari anywhere.”

Rudys Italian Seafood Rest
Mar 21, 2006 by Alan from Parsippany, NJ

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Great food and conversation with Billy the bartender.
  • Can't bring young children but now that I think about it, that's a positive.

“This place is legendary. I love going there for a cocktail and a good meal. It's a very old school tavern with a fantastic kitchen.”

Fulton Crab House
Mar 11, 2006 by Karen from West New York

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[2] • Service:[2] • Atmosphere:[4]

  • Variety of fish.
  • Just about everything.

“There are only about 18 tables, and only about a dozen were filled, and we did not get our apps for 1/2 hr. I ordered stuffed clams, he ordered clams on a half shell. I was done eating mine 4 very small ones, small littlenecks, almost cockles) for about 10 minutes before he received his. Should not it have been the other way around? No lemons or little forks were given, weird; you would think in a crab shack that they would have a small bowl of them on the table even. This is a very, very casual place, old wooden tables with paper linings. Dinner did not come until an hour later, broiled sole for me, seafood for him (BTW-it's a marinara - I do not eat spicy foods and I did not taste any heat). Was supposed to be lobster, clams, mussels and shrimp (clams were cockles and no shrimp) Lobster was way over cooked, barely came out of shell so tough, barely any pasta, weird. Mine was good, very plain, only butter. No lemon of course. We had ice-tea and our bill came to $59 without tip. However, we did not give much of that.”
