• Blooming onion was good.
• Food & service were lousy.

“Food was lousy. Steaks were tough with no flavor. Green beans were so hard, you could not cut them with a knife. Food was cold. The only thing worth having was the blooming onion. Service was lousy. Our waitress was cold & impersonal. Did not even ask how are meals were. I will never go back. LOUSY.”

• The booze server kept us laughing about everything else.
• All of the food. They even served lettuce that wasn't fresh.

“This restaurant has disgusting food. Everything ordered was either too salty or dripping in grease. The owner and his friends were an obnoxious, loud, drunken group in the corner of the outside seating area (nothing more than dirty tables with plastic chairs), which made the ambiance lousy, as well (not that a view of the bay over a road and train tracks is particularly appealing). I can't believe the server would even deliver the food to a table, it was so unappealing.”

“Best home style food around. Food is always hot and good. Friendly waitresses. A little on the noisy side but can put up with that because the food is great. I also like the little gift shop. The fireplace in the winter is so cozy. Will go back.”

“They have the best perch in the area. The prices are about the most reasonable you will find too. You can find fancier places to eat but if you really just care about the taste and prices then you have the best place for both.”

“Bob Evans is a great place to eat. The food is always hot. Very friendly staff. They go out of their way to accommodate special orders. I think the prices are great too. Will go back. It is kind of noisy so if you have hearing aids turn them down.”

“I was very disappointed after waiting in line for nearly two hours. The steak was cold and tough. It was like a very tiny piece of meat. You didn't get much for your money either. The chicken was ok but was cold. The blooming onion was the only thing worth getting. But not worth waiting in line that long for. Won't go back. We had to keep asking for refills on our drinks.”

“Diana's Deli is a great place to eat. They have a large variety on their menu. Our food is always hot when we get it. Sometimes if it is busy the service is slow but worth the wait. It is open 24/7 which makes it great when you get off of work late. Great job you all. I look forward to going back soon.”

“This is our favorite place to order pizza and food from. We always receive good service. We have never had a bad tasting pizza, sub or salad from pizza house west. Take advantage of their daily specials and you get a great deal. We love the medium pizzas for pick-up for $5.25.”

• Our server was great! Very friendly and "on the ball".
• Management was not caring about customer satisfaction.

“Have gone to these restaurants periodically over the years and always enjoyed the food and service. On my most recent trip I ordered a steak salad which I have had before (quite awhile ago) and enjoyed. The salad that I used to get had juicy chunks of steak on a bed of fresh lettuce and fresh cut fries. I was surprised when the salad was delivered to the table and it had steak-ums (thin slices of processed "steak") on the top instead of actual chunks of steak. The salad just didn't taste as good. The server was informed and she relayed my displeasure to management who did absolutely nothing. I thought that management could have at the very least come to the table. So, since I didn't like the faux steak I had to settle with just eating the lettuce and fries. I left unsatisfied and feeling as if my satisfaction really didn't matter to management. Our server was great though. The score I would give the server herself would be a 10, however, when I factor in the managements disservice the score is brought down substantially. Management's attitude will probably dissuade me from patronizing this establishment again.”

• Close to cedar point for a dinner escape (and cheaper), lots of food.
• Rundown, food could be better quality.

“I have been there a couple of times, it is perfect because it is so close to cedar point, and you can eat dinner (cheaper than the point) and return to the park rather quickly. However next time I will try something different. Ponderosa is a tradition my ex-friend does, but now I have my own family and time to move on. If you like ponderosa it is worth it. It is a little run down, and the food could be a little better. But I have always liked ponderosa since I was a child.”

• Smokers.....

“The Angry Trout is the best kept secret on Lake Erie. Dining in the bar area is extremely pleasant or on the patio both of which have views of the water. We have dined several times and have never been disappointed. Its a great water front restaurant with exceptional Walleye. Don't come prepared for a Chicago or NY restaurant. Angry Trout is OHIO!! Pull up in the convertible, casual dress, lake front atmosphere, and nice folks. Its CLEAN, friendly and fun. We'd like to keep it a secret! ”

• For tasty Americana fare, this is the place to eat!
• If you crave romance and intimacy, sitting in your '57 Chevy in the parking lot is a better bet.

“If you're in the mood for some nostalgic fun in a diner-like atmosphere, Steak N Shake is the place to go! If you're bringing the kids, you're not going to find a cheap, value type menu but then again, the taste is a cut above too. The meat in the burgers is a better quality and consistent-- the shakes are thick and plentiful, just like the old soda fountains used to serve in a bygone era. They also have "flavored" drinks such as cherry cokes. The fries are a thinner cut but tasty. Be warned--they cool off fast! They offer other items like chili that can be customized with extra "fixings"(3-way, etc.), and a chicken salad that hits the spot too. You can customize a platter within a selection of certain sides that are offered. Since this place is open 24/7--great for night owls or people who work odd shifts, it's nice to know you can stop there anytime. If you want breakfast they have a menu for that too. The potato pancakes are outstanding. Since changing their standard to making the restaurant completely non-smoking, it has made the dining experience there all the better! Overall, this is a fun place to go on a date as a young person or as a family too. ”
