• Coffee.
• Service, food, small cramped store, rundown.

“Very overpriced until a deli opened up across the street so they were forced to lower their prices. Place is dirty and small, employees are rude and food is below par. Coffee is pretty good though I will give them that. All and all I would not recommend going to this establishment.”

• Tilapia dish was excellent.
• Bar area a little too dark.

“Good food, good service, disappointed that they did not use fresh mushrooms on the veal Marsala. but it tasted delicious. If they have the Tilapia (st. Peters fish) get it, it was awesome.”

• The place and service were bad.

“The staff was not friendly, the big turn off for me was the files on the windows and the dingy, dirty and small bathrooms. I always say you can always judge a restaurant by how clean their bathrooms look and Espana did not pass. The food and drinks were not up to Espana prices. The staff was more about themselves then the customers.”

• Too pricey for mediocre food and only friendly to regular customers.

“We recently went to Ernestos for the new year. I called to make reservations and was told that they did not offer a special menu for the new year. When my husband and I got there, the waitress took us to a small dinning area next to a bar/drink section of the restaurant. They had a special menu for the new year, not the regular restaurant menu. The Ernestos salad was very good, the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat was also good but gave me indigestion and the pasta dish was nothing special. When the bill was presented to us they overcharged us an extra $12.00 and when my wife asked for the bathroom she was sent to the pizza side of the restaurant to a public bathroom.”

• Sat down rather quickly but it was a week day.
• Under staffed on weekends.

“The food takes way too long to arrive and not enough waiters. Our waiter took care of like six tables and we suffered. Over priced also.”

• Not enough room in this box to type it all so everything!

“Went there with my wife and kids. The wait wasn't that bad to get to a table. Then it took over 10 minutes to get menus and another 10 minutes just to get drinks. Food came out all different times for our party and some was actually cold, and I don't mean salad! Way over priced and they should be ashamed. If you want diner food go to a Greek diner!”

• Large beer selection.
• Extremely poor service.

“We went here with our daughter and son in law. We waited forever to get refills on our drinks. We ordered a large potion of buffalo wings which came with very small portion of blue cheese. We asked for more, but it never came. None the less, we tried to order a gift certificate a few weeks later for our daughter. Four phone calls and several unanswered emails later, we still don't have the gift certificate. The day help told us to call back during the evening and the evening staff said call back during the day. Each told us they were too busy to bother with us. No problem, I ordered a gift certificate from porter house's across the street. If you like really bad service, you'll love this place.”

“This is a great spot. Food has always been great. The specials are usually interesting tasty combos. The menu items are always delicious--especially the pasta and clam sauce.”

• Convenient delivery; friendly service.
• Will not deliver a $14 order; sushi quality has declined.

“I have experienced the eat-in environment on both sides on the restaurant, as well as, the take-out service. The sushi side of the restaurant is much more polished than the Hibachi side. Since the restaurant changed management, the quality of the sushi has seen a definite drop.”

• Great food, great service, family friendly, warm ambiance.
• I had no negative experience.

“The restaurant offers a warm and friendly family style atmosphere, complimented by a courteous staff and a charming owner who personally sees to it that every guest is treated to a great meal and outstanding hospitality, traditional of his southern Italian heritage. The first time my wife and I enjoyed our first dinner at Ernesto's, it felt like we had known everyone there for years. If you are looking for a great place to have a wonderful Italian meal, in a warm and soothing ambiance, with a friend, business associate or with the entire family, you owe it to yourself to visit Ernesto's restaurant. Take it from me. You'll be back!”

“If you love Italian food, this is the restaurant for you, the food is great. I am baffled by the person who said the food was horrible. We go there at least twice a month. The best Italian restaurant in town as far as I am concerned.”

“This was a horrid experience. The food was disgusting. Everything we ate was too heavily spiced with too much sauce and/or lemon, including the pizza, appetizers and the entrees. The service was terribly slow. The wait for our first course was one hour. Don't waste your money!”

• Worst service ever and treated very rudely.

“Food was fine but the service was the worst ever. We waited 45 minutes with dirty plates sitting in front of us from the appetizers while the waiter kept walking by, meanwhile asking the regulars if everything is ok. We were hoping to make a movie but we missed it. Since we could not get our waiter's attention, we called over the owner and mentioned that we were waiting over 45 minutes for our food while other tables that came in afterwards were already served their entrees and appetizers. The owner/manager? Was very rude and said we were wrong and we just got our appetizers and we told him it was false and we were sitting with dirty plates all this time. He continued to disagree. I guess the customer isn¿t important at Bengal tiger, especially if you are not a regular. Then the waiter arrived with the food complaining we were requesting the food that wasn't ready and he brought our bread first which became cold, waiting for the food. We asked for new bread and he refused to bring it. We dine out often and very rarely have any issues at all, so I felt the necessity to write this because we were shocked at how rude most of the staff was as well as the owner/manager. The service was truly awful.”

• BEST pizza!
• Parking can be tight.

“"No pushing, no shoving!" you'll hear as you make your way to the counter of this nondescript lunchtime favorite. Wood grain booths and linoleum floor camouflage the entrance to the best New York style pizza - crisp, crackling blistered crust and a well seasoned sauce. Beats all the "brick-oven" and "wood-fired" restaurant pizzas, this is the pizza of my childhood. Add a little more garlic and red pepper if you like it, but since Michael's in Yorktown closed, best pizza in Westchester. In summer, great Italian ices too! You can sit under an umbrella outside. Kids are welcome. Come mid afternoon you'll have the joint to yourself. ”

“A notch above the standard bar fare, the portions are big, the flavors are good, surprising good salads, no frills atmosphere. Large square bar with sports on the several TV's hanging from the ceiling as soon as you walk in, tables in the back.”

• Location, prices, quality of food, owner attentiveness.
• They are not open on Mondays

“Wonderful food. Good atmosphere. It gives you the big fancy restaurant feel without the prices and the three piece suit requirement. Love the owner, he is a skillful artisan with his staff and customers.”

“This restaurant is one of White Plains' best kept secrets. The food is always amazing and the staff is very friendly. I eat here at least once every week. Their veal marsala is the best I have ever had. The menu is also very diverse, so there is something for everyone. ”
