• A true original, in a nation (and region) of bland sameness.
• With the upscale new decor and higher prices it's not quite as child friendly as it used to be.

“This is the best restaurant we've ever found in NJ, bar none. She's the chef, and he's the maitre'd and runs the floor with aplomb. A couple that owns it, and lives it, and works it together, and what a labor of love it is. Yes, the prices have crept upwards from way back in the day when they had a small walk in in Avalon, but you get good value. She is mostly a self-taught chef, and creates true originals. He makes it a special night, whenever you go. Save room for dessert - the things she can do with chocolate will make your toe's curl. It is a BYOB place, but it is the kind of meal that deserves wine, so most definitely bring your own.”
