“On Saturday March 15, I went to your restaurant to join the karaoke. I arrived at 8:45 an hour later the music started. Finally at about 10:15, the first singer sang. After about 5 or 6 singers the DJ put on music for over 45 minutes. The DJ would start a song then leave the booth. He was not there to adjust the sound when it was too loud or too soft or when the reverb would start to hum very loudly. It has been my experience that Karaoke was supposed to be customers singing through the night, not for twenty or thirty minutes. I decided to leave after being there for over two and a half hours and only hearing 5 or 6 singers. I was with a party of about 10 people, we all had the same Idea, we will not be back.”

“The beef gorgonzola will make you with every bite. I stumbled upon this cozy place and recommend it to everyone looking for a romantic night or just some great old world Italian. More casual than Dovers chop shop but the food is comparable. You won't be disappointed.”

“I used to live in Dover, NH and I had the pleasure of working for this family owned/operated establishment. I worked at the Dover Asia for several years prior to moving to the Austin TX area. New Asia in Newington, NH was only open a short time (maybe a year or 2) prior to my leaving New England, therefore I am partial to Dover Asia. The food is unbelievable and if I could ask them to ship it to me in Texas every new year eve Id be in heaven! I visited last in 2000, so I am overdue for my "Asia fix" I recommend either/all of the Asia restaurants. I miss this food, but I also miss the family.”

“We made reservations for 6:30 and with the traffic in Portsmouth and the lack of easy to find parking we were 17 minutes late. First told that after 30 minutes the table was given to another party and then told there were 2 seats at the bar, our party was five people. Also told the next available seating was at 9:15, even though no one was waiting. When I looked at the actual time we said wait a minute it is now only 6:47 were promptly told it was 6:55 by her watch, my time is on my cell phone so it is pretty good. Then we were told all of the things we could have done but nothing about what they could do. We went to another place and they were also busy but quick to find us a spot in the line so we were willing to wait a bit. So, don't be late or really just go someplace else, plenty of choices in Portsmouth with better views, menus and most likely better service.”

“The good thing about waiting to be seated is that they have to bars in the restaurant. I guess they have to restaurants, as well. Upstairs is where the pub sits and downstairs more lounge and cosmo-esque. we had a couple of draft upstairs while waiting and where seat within 5 min of our reservations. He had not be here since the downstairs renovation Its quite nice now, I would more apt to bring my business clients over here now. Our family was interested by the menu the server (Jon) described it as a world fusion menu. Its very different than any other place in the Portsmouth area. The food was superb, the drinks were great. I suggest the duck and the salmon (tried my wife's). The owner was there and was candid about the decision to change decor and food type. He was quite knowledgeable and very enthusiastic, which certainly showed in this I'd say new restaurant.”

“Menu is fixed and unchanging. The service non-existent with so many places in town to choose from, they must be backed by a patron looking for a write-off.”
