Lacarreta Mexican Restaurant

• Loved the food!
• Not in Texas!

“My husband is from Bristol, VA and he took me to Lacarreta's when we first to Bristol. I was skeptic at first because I'm a big fan of Mexican food, and being from Texas all my life I've tried it all. They came out with the usual chips, salsa, and queso. The queso was white! I had never seen or tasted white queso! It was so good, we ordered 3 more. Next, I ordered their chicken floutas. I absolutley loved them! I hate it when other restaurants serve their floutas deep fried and covered in greasy chili (as I've had it before). The floutas were served just right with beans, and their oh so yummy rice. The 2 large floutas layed side by side with lettuce, a dollop of sour sream and a tomato wedge. It was very delicious (and I even poured that tastey, white queso all over it too). We paid $23 for 2 adults and a smalll child (including tip)....very reasonable! We have sinced moved back to Texas and my husband and I still long for Lacarettas. We always stop in to tame our cravings when we're in town. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! Enjoy and have some floutas for me!”
