• Excellent food, friendly service Nothing ever changes!
• They do not have a Florida store.

“I am a true fried chicken lover and have traveled extensively. The absolute best fried chicken in the US is found at Strouds in KC, MO. The wooden shoe inn trails not too far behind. I was told that they prepare the chicken according to the same recipe they have used for over 60 years. I have eaten at the WSI probably over a hundred times since growing up in a nearby town some 60 years ago and will not miss dining there if Im within a couple hundred miles of Minster. My mouth is salivating as I write this critique.”

• Their chicken dinner - that is all that needs said.
• Salad, a little sparse, drinks are marginal, but honest.

“I live in Marion, Ohio an hour and a half drive from Minister. It is not a popular as it wants was because of all the other places, but it cannot be beat for chicken dinner. The salad is a little sparse. But everything else is great. I get over there about once a month and am treated like a long lost cousin. It is worth the visit.”

• All the food and drink are fresh and hot foods are always hot.
• The salad is a little too basic; tomatoes would be a nice addition.

“ The wooden shoe is a fabulous place for couples and family dinners. I've seen many family parties there and the place is big enough that parties do not interfere with regular customers. They have a nice "old timely" bar with draft beer if you so choose. Staff is always friendly and most of the time very prompts. They can get very busy on weekends but you never mind a little wait. They have a chicken basket with fries that is there specialty and most people have to ask for a "doggie bag". You will not go away hungry! Thanks wooden shoe.”
