“Viggiano's is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was of delight and service was wonderful. I do not live in the area of restaurant but I must come back when visiting.”

“When I walked in, the owner was reprimanding employees very loudly in from of customers I then ordered my food to go. I don't think I'll be back the cursing and total disrespect of customers and employees was too much for me. I won't buy for somewhere who treats people like that. And the worst part of it all the one doing the yelling was the owner. He is very rude and short with his customers.”

“I have been going to Franzone's in Plymouth for 20 years and it is by far the best. Service is excellent, food is great. I was there again on Friday night and had fresh stuffed flounder - an excellent choice. Pizza is always a great choice.”

“No question, by far the best restaurant my wife and I have been to in a long time.”

“If you're looking for atmosphere and elegance go somewhere else. If you are looking for great and interesting Italian food and wine have a seat. Ossobuco is the best. Area looks rough but I've never had a problem. .”

“Flat out - the food is bland. My girlfriend and I love trying new restaurants and I love going out in general. The menu sounds great and we were excited to try it but we were extremely disappointed. We each ordered a pasta dish, hers was chicken in a vodka sauce with rigatoni and I got a shrimp special that was supposed to be in a spicy marinara over pasta. They came out and both looked and tasted the same. I could not tell the difference between spicy marinara and vodka sauce. They were both bland and had next to no flavor; we dumped a lot of parmesan cheese on there but did not really help. I would definitely not go back.”

“Had an excellent dinner with friends who introduced us to Totaro's. One has to know and appreciate Philly neighborhood Italian restaurants to really appreciate Totaro's. It's on a side street, has a small parking lot and on entering looks and feels like a neighborhood Italian joint. Enjoy the atmosphere. The food, however, is definitely not neighborhood. The menu is upscale and more suited to Yuppie Suburbia. It was well prepared and plated. The house wine as fine. Overall, recommend for an upscale experience in a downscale setting.”

“A little noisy, but the food is awesome, and it's a byob, so you can save $ by bringing your own wine.”

“I have had lunch at Totaro's many times, never disappointed. Last night I invited another couple to share what I expected to be a very pleasant experience. I know about the parking (very little at the restaurant) and the neighborhood, a bit rough, but not scary. However, the food is expensive and parking and neighborhood aside I expect a level of service and ambiance in the restaurant to match the pricing - this was certainly not the case. We seated in the upstairs "Overflow" area at folding tables (the tablecloths were nice put it was like a picnic table in Fairmount Park). The food was slow in coming and only warm. The picnic table behind us sent every dish back for re-heating. My $ 11.00 "Steakhouse Salad" had two cold pieces of bacon, a tomato slice and not enough dressing for more those two bites; there was no salt and pepper on the table and the $ 8.50 a glass wine was a pitifully small serving, about two shot glasses - shameless. We were very disappointed and will not return. If you decide to chance an expensive a-la-carte menu consider yourself warned and do not take a seat upstairs.”

“This menu is off the charts. If you want to experience true French cuisine from some very experienced chefs try this place out. Excellent food nice wine list. Walk into the bar and you don't expect much. The dining room will knock your socks off. Menu includes buffalo, ostrich, lamb, veal, duck all succulently prepared. Neighborhood is a tad rough, but worth it.”

“The pizza at Franzones is the best pizza in the U.S.! The sauce is sweet and the dough is crispy thin. The flavor is incredible. There is no pizza like it that I have ever tasted! I am hooked on it!”

“If you want your BMW stolen, come to this neighborhood. I can't believe my hotel recommended this place, nice food, but it's a dive (that's being generous). Don't stay after dark.”

“Ted's place needs to start taking delivery orders. The delivery thing is the only complaint I have. The food is fantastic. I know co-workers who have been going there for 10 years every lunch and eating the same thing! You just don't get tired of it. Friends that have since moved to CA recommended this place to me. When they come back in town, they get the owner to wrap up 10 cheese steaks so they can take them back to CA with them.”

“We absolutely love this restaurant, my fiance and I am always looking for good and close alternatives to the big chain restaurants. Viggiano's is perfect, it is family owned and operated and the service and atmosphere really project that. They have some amazing old pictures of their family on the walls, it's awesome. But the thing that keeps bringing us back is the food. We try to meet once a week after work and have a nice romantic dinner. I love the fact that they are a BYOB and the prices are so reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. Just a suggestion; don't leave without getting a cappuccino the real kind - not the push buttons some restaurants have) and one of their homemade desserts - we have tried them all and you really can't go wrong with any..”

“This restaurant s! The food was remarkably below average, the price much too high for that, the service bad (no knife for my partner, no appetizer, and no look into the eyes) and the credit card was booked 10 used higher than authorized! This is neither professional nor good taste!”

“I know this sounds dumb, but it was hard to find the front door to the place. Overall, this place wasn't that bad. The bar itself was kind of a dive, but no different than any other local bar I¿ve been to. It was a little crowded, but it was Saturday night, so it was to be expected a little. I had to steal one guy's chair while he was getting a dance ;) the drinks are a little expensive, but not very. $4.25 for a youngling, but I understand. People kept mentioning the bathrooms, but they weren't nearly as goody as everyone says. The bartenders were hot. Especially the one with the little bit of attitude. She was on her feet all day, and tired and cranky, but she was still managing to be friendly to everyone, especially me. That just made her even hotter. Most of the dancers there were banging'. Some people say that when you go to a local joint, you get local talent, but these girls were spectacular. Some of these girls were really off the hook. There was only one girl that I thought was maybe a little too fat to be dancing. The club kept about a dozen girls in a two-song rotation. That's pretty darn good for a place this size. After they got off stage, the girls would circulate and come and talk to you. They were really friendly and personable. I didn't feel harassed for a dollar. I didn't feel like I had to give you a dollar just to go away. On a personal note, curly you rule my world, baby. And to jade and fantasy; I¿m sorry I didn't get a chance to spend some lap time with either of you, but I will be back. That's for certain.”

“ I travel quite a bit and when I'm home I usually go here for lunch. The salads are fresh and like all there dishes they are made to order. Yes, you may have to wait if there are busy but I think the wait is worth it. Generous portions at a fair price. The hoagies are well made and satisfying, the pasta dishes offer a wide variety, and the Chicken Bick is a favorite. I'm not a big pizza eater, but I do enjoy the pizza here, they are handmade. I've been in Washington, DC for a week and I plan on stopping in on the way home seeing I have nothing in the fridge. ”

“This has to be my all time favorite restaurant. I went once and raved about of for weeks. I live out of state but get to this area about 2 or 3 times a year. I decided to go back the next time I was in Philly to see if I had exaggerated my claims about the superb food and service and atmosphere. It was just as I remembered.

My husband raved about the Stromboli. Extremely reasonable prices with huge portions!!”
