Blue Dog Family Tavern
Mar 12, 2009 by Mike from Chalfont, Pa

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • Take out beer selection.
  • Service, food, cleanliness of the bar and restaurant, mold growing on walls, black under the ice bins etc.

“If you are looking for a decent bar/restaurant experience, I would steer clear of Blue Dog. I live in the area, just a few miles away, and over the years, this place has gone done hill. The bar itself is filthy! When you order a beer, drink, glass of wine, etc. you almost always get a dirty glass with lipstick on it! The food is awful, and is consistently way to salty, even for things that should not be like that, like soup. The food is not consistent either. One day, you get it and it will be great. So you come in a few days later, and order the same thing, and it looks and tastes like my 3 year old put it together. They are always changing their beer selection which is good, but are typically running out of liquor or wine. So if you enjoy a beer and a shot, hope you are just okay with only a beer. There is a liquor store next to the location, and they won't go out and just buy it. If anything, you speak to management or the owners about these issues, you, yourself get yelled at. When I take my family out, we want a good experience, great food and beer. This place strikes out on all levels!”

Skyline Tavern
Dec 8, 2008 by lr from Chalfont, PA

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[9] • Service:[5] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Good food & very good prices.
  • Terrible waitress tonight. She didn't care if she took care of us or not!

“We have gotten to become fairly regulars of the skyline tavern & usually it is great. Good food. Good service. I don't know what has changed but tonight our service was terrible. It was a waitress we have never had before. After we got our food, she never once came back to check on us. Another waitress cleared our dishes because our waitress was chatting with other customers. When our waitress did get around to coming back to us, she asked "are you threw". Not can I get you anything else or how was your meal, but are you threw! She was a terrible waitress!”

Blue Dog Family Tavern
Nov 1, 2008 by Gayle from Langhorne

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[5]

  • Beer selection.
  • Food and service.

“Came with friends for dinner and beer. The beer and selection was excellent, but you can't call it edible food. Service was apologetic but did not make up for forgetting the appetizer, being slow, and forgetting some of the beer! The kitchen provided cold food that the waitress took back and personally microwave. Nothing says quality like microwaved French fries!”

“Great bartenders and beer selection. Appetizers and bar food type stuff is great. Service/food for real meals is just ok though. .”

Blue Dog Family Tavern
Apr 11, 2006 by Kristin from Chalfont

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[6] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Great happy hour scene.
  • Prices for the quality of food.

“The food is middle of the road and the prices are too high. I would pay the prices if the food was worth it, but it was not. It is a great place to stop in and have a beer or other cocktail. They have great happy hour specials and a great Thursday night Martinis and Manicures. The bartenders that work there are interesting and entertaining. For the bar, worth the trip. For the food.! ”

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[10] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • The freshness of the food.
  • Parking lot is not big enough.

“My husband and I love Mexican food. This is, by far, my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. The food was very fresh and well made. I recommend this to those who love Mexican and to those who're not so sure. There is something for everyone. Enjoy.”
