“Guard your credit card with your life and definitely don't use your debit card. I was charged twice on the same day for each of the two transactions.”

“A heart felt shout out of thanks to bartenders and all the staff at Double Diamond Restaurant & Casino. My business trip to Las Vegas was made enjoyable and fun at this busy local bar were visitors are treated like locals and friends. Unlike most Vegas bars, I got more than expected for less than I expected. Great drinks at fair prices with pool tables, electronic darts, jukebox and video poker. Every night had some promotion going on. Pool/dart tournaments, TV give away drawings, and people smiling. They run some casino worker, casino low priced drink, specials and non-gambler special drink, and prices that seem to keep the bar full. The joint was rock-in every time I went in. Went three nights and found even late night after midnight on a weeknight full of mixed crowd of mostly locals. Food was good pizza, sandwiches, wings and such cheerful singles and couples patrons, and 50-cent pool where even and poor player like me felt welcome. Well done, Ill be back next trip.”

“My friend and I went to Vegas recently and we stopped in at chin chin (New York), got to say the hostess there was really sweet and helpful. But on the other hand the guy bartender could not be more rude if he tried.”

“This store was operating during a recent renovation, so they didn't lose its shine. Committed patrons put up with inept personnel, long lines and inferior service. During the remodeling, the price of the bagels increased to $0.99/bagel! At the store today, I saw that the bagels are now one half of their original generous size. Both the size of the bagel and the price is truly obscene. As far as I'm concerned Einstein's bagels are too pricey for me and I won't be returning.”

“I would like to start by saying that Onda has a very impressive wine list and even though we ordered one of the cheaper bottles (under $100) it was excellent. Also, the salads were spectacular. The entries, on the other hand, weren't worthy of being served at a pizza shop. I ordered the cappelline with scallops and I couldn't believe how little flavor it had. The scallops were extremely overcooked and the rest of the dish lacked in any creativity in both its presentation and creation.”

“My boyfriend and I visited Delmonico Steakhouse for his birthday. I had notified the staff ahead of time that this was a special occasion and they greeted us with birthday wishes for him as well as the wait staff providing a special appetizer and desert for us to help celebrate. Great visit. Highly recommend this to restaurant to all visiting Las Vegas!”

“The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night at 7:30pm, and it never did get crowded in the 2 hours we were there (surprising considering how popular I expected this place to be). Our server was extremely rude from the moment we arrived, the hostesses were obviously having a bad night, and the buzzer wasn't much better! In retrospect we should have asked for a new server as soon as we recognized that he was not the right fit, but I kept thinking he would warm up. We had a $1200 table that night, and since we were a larger group he knew that he didn't need to worry about the tip since the 20% service charge was automatic. We witnessed other tables having lively interactions with their servers, and receiving a birthday treat and song at the culmination of their meal, but our waiter couldn't wait to get us out of the restaurant and never did offer us dessert. There are too many other great restaurants in Vegas to spend your money where you are treated with disrespect. The birthday celebration was made memorable because of the amazing view, the incredible food, and the time we spent upstairs in the Lounge, but I would not return for a meal based on the attitude we received from the server.”

“How sad, after being a patron of this place for over 8 years to have to write a bad review. My family just got back from eating here, and I have to say we were treated so poorly, I felt compelled to write. While the food here has gone from great to ok over the years. The service just insulting. I'm not sure if it's the understaffing or the fact that the staff believes it owns the place. The last several times we've had to ask and reask for water, our food, etc. This time they tried to short us out of an entree, not by mistake, but just the fact they wanted to get rid of us. These are waiters we've known for years, just think how they treat tourist. To make matters worse, we asked for some soy sauce to go and was told by our waiter "no, we only provide it in house". Hey, I've only got it about 300 times in the last 8 years. We were, and I do mean were, loyal customers who left 20% tips. I can only say, do yourself a favor and don't be treated like second rate customers, go to one of the other many fine places in town.”

“Went there for my birthday dinner. Had the lobster. It was the biggest lobster I have ever tried to eat and it was wonderful. Staff was fantastic. Treated us like royalty. Not very fancy or very big.”

“I have visited the Road Runner by my house over in Centennial. Do not go. Every single time has been a terrible experience. The food is good, but I have never experienced such consistent and awful service. I usually sit at the bar so this would be directed towards the bartenders they hire there. Childish, unable to make change for $, sarcastic, unfriendly, unwelcoming, preoccupied and I'm sure I could find more to say about how dissatisfied I am each and every time I go there.”

“The portions are far from generous. The menu is over priced. The management did not care whether we were satisfied or not. We ordered the nachos and fajitas. The fajitas were not served steaming hot and there was more lettuce than meat. The nachos were flat and skimpy. When we called for the manager, he had a take it of leave it attitude, so, we left it.”

“I just moved to Las Vegas from California and I live behind Zodies Bar. After passing it a couple of times I meet a friend there it was not up to date. Carpet very dirty. A porta potty at a all day concert is cleaner than their bathrooms. Not a comfortable or relaxing environment at all. I would definitely drive by to the next bar. Do not even waste your time or money. The bartenders service was horrible. She only catered to her regulars not very inviting for new comers, would not go back. People coming and leaving seemed like drug deals to me. Not safe at all. This bar should be closed down or renovated. Dirty drugs, unfriendly need to hire new bartenders. She didn't even make the drink right. My friend just took on sip and didn't even drink it.”

“Waited five minutes to get seated, with only one other couple dining. Had to seat ourselves. No one came to take my order, but could see them speaking and laughing right in front of us. The worst experience I have had. You should pack up and move out of town. I will tell everyone what poor service you offer!”

“This is the only place to dine for breakfast in Las Vegas! If only we'd found this place earlier on during our stay. Every aspect of it, from the service to the food was amazing. You wouldn't expect all of these things and then get the value for money that you do in Carrows. There is a very special technique to getting your breakfast just right, and they have it nailed. From the questions they ask you to the speed with which it is delivered. There are so many options to your meals that you can tailor your breakfast to your every mood. We tried ordering our breakfast without having the waitress ask us any further questions. (What kind of toast? Milk or cream? What kind of cream? How do you like your eggs?). Its quite difficult. All in, I'd have to say that if you don't visit Carrows, you've missed out!”

“I have never been to such a poor service oriented restaurant. The staff totally ignores us not to mention very unfriendly. The price does not justify the quality and service. We were 3 families visiting and thinking we would have a nice meal. All of us regretted going there. The dining room is not clean, portions are very small, staff very unfriendly and prices too high. I recommend people go somewhere else. Dont waste your good money and tummy going there.”

“I'm OK with both if food & service are up to the test. Food was upscale and large-portioned (the $ 52 bone in rib steak could have served 3 people). Wine list was excellent quality but I felt a little cheap only ordering $ 100 bottles (bit of a high roller joint). Service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.”

“I am from Northern California where Jamba Juice is located everywhere. I moved to Las Vegas Summer of 03 and couldnt figure out why this extremely warm city didnt have a Jamba Juice then I discovered there was one in Henderson. They are so good and yummy the wheat grass is an effective detoxification treatment as well. Overall, they rate very high on my places to go to buy a smoothie. The varieties are limitless; you can mix and match Sherbert vs. ice-cream and fruits. You can create your own smoothie at Jamba Juice. I love as a matter of fact I am going to have one today since now Jamba Juice's are almost everywhere in Las Vegas now.”

“We were there for the second time in 2 years. We were surprised by their reservation system that remembered us and we were given a special welcome back appetizer. The service was excellent. The food quality was extra ordinary. As far as the price goes it was spendy but if you want to enjoy the good life sometimes you just have to shut up and pay.”

“I took my fiance to Vegas for her first visit and I wanted to give her the best experience possible. I booked all fine restaurants for the 4 days we were there. We are both in our early to mid 20's and often times in fine restaurants we often are not treated as prime customers. This was not the case in Delmonico's. We arrived on time for our reservation, greeted with warm smiles and were immediately seated. The friendly waiter was very helpful in helping us choose our dinner. Oddly we were not offered a wine list, but we ended up just ordering cocktails and sparkling water anyway. For the appetizer we had the beef and cheese fondu, which was excellent even though they could have given us a few more pieces of the soft pretzel bread that came for dipping. The salad I ordered (Spinach with hickory bacon, sharp cheddar, in alight honey vinaigrette) was without a doubt the greatest salad I had ever eaten. I seriously considered ordering another one. My "Bone In" Rib Steak was cooked to perfection. The dipping sauces were not necessary to enjoy the steak. My fiance's chicken dish was also excellent. I also ordered sliced potatoes with caramelized onions on top, but couldn't finish them as I was so stuffed from the other dishes. Desert was also very good. The brownie and moose cup was extremely rich and satisfying. The atmosphere was excellent. The dim lighting throughout set a great mood. I really liked the look and comfort of the chairs. The glasses, the silverware, and the dishes were all top quality. Other customers came dressed for the occasion. It is a pet peeve of mine to see people eating in fine restaurants when they are not properly dressed. Overall, eating at Delmonicos was a fantastic experience. The food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere (though a little loud for my liking) was also excellent. If you are in Vegas and want a fine dining experience and don't mind dropping at least 2 bills on dinner, then you should definitely try Delmonico's.”

“I was in Vegas for business and was referred the peppermill by a cab driver. It was the best advice I received on my stay. My server was very attentive, but not to in our face. She made a suggestion for the chicken dinner and it was so what I was craving. It was cooked perfectly! Although it was too much food I still ate every last bite. (Yes it was that good!) The server was very polite and sweet. I realized that it's very hard to find good service anymore, but the Peppermill has got it! I cannot wait for my next trip to Vegas, I will be back in for my next taste of the Peppermill!”

“Cozy Mel's is a great Mexican food restaurant that we found by accident. We thought it was much better than the Mexican restaurant in our hotel and casino. The chips were fresh and hot; the salsa was great; the margaritas were varied; the food was fantastic with many choices. They have these little drink and dessert samples that allow you to try a little of this and that and you don't have to decide on just one drink or dessert-you get them all, plenty for two.”

“Alejandro's grill is so nice we always eat something there before leaving LV, the flight to Rome lasts like 9 hours and his food provides you the right amount of energy and sprightliness to go through. The atmosphere's good, always packed with people (not so pleasant but obvious), the guys are ok and the prices not this high. It's worth to be visited. Especially if you're with friends.”

“Avoid this place weekday evenings like the plague. Unless you are pumping $20 bills into the machines you will be treated like dirt. You will be ordered to move seat - even while eating. Told to refrain from speaking loudly. Ordered not to speak to anyone else in the bar. Service is brusque at best. Downright rude otherwise. Ask why and you will be read the riot act - if not banned outright. Service is not just bad - it's outright hostile.”

“I've recently been coming to the loose caboose (central) for a while now. The food is exceptional. You can't find better bar food anywhere near that quality and the quantity for the price. I actually find it is the only place I like to eat anymore. I'm a local in Vegas now, but I was coming here on business trips when I was in and out of Vegas for work. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel at home. The type of bar where it only takes a couple trips before the bartender has your drink ready before you sit down. Ah hem, even if it is coffee. The mornings are quiet and mellow, great for breakfast or a business meeting. It's is as centrally located as the name implies. The evenings get a little louder, but being right next to the palms it is a great escape from the loud casino after a movie. Fun evening crowd! They also offer gaming as well. I suggest this place to anyone local or just passing through. It's truly a classic bar. ”
