“Food poor, service worse. Decor bad, attitude of owner worse. Undoubtedly the worst Indian restaurant I've ate in.”

“This restaurant has the most fantastic Italian food! The Artichoke and Spinach dip was awesome. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area. The prices are great too!”

“If you are hungry and looking for big bang for your buck, Cedar's is the place to go. They serve Grandma style food (and portions) at super low cost. I have never walked away from a meal there hungry or unsatisfied. The staff is very friendly and prompt with their service. This is a great place to go for a quick hearty lunch. The Chicken Fried Steak is phenomenal and humongous.”

“This is one of the few Japanese restaurants that offer grilled fish on their menu. So I come here for the grilled mackerel. I also get to orders of their crunchy roll no. 1, which is a shrimp tempura roll for the drive home, delicious. They have a large bento menu so you can try a few selections at a time, if you're not that familiar with Japanese cuisine. They do get very busy at lunchtime but they are very good at getting everyone in. They are on a main road with lots of parking.”

“Purchased gift Certificate for this restaurant from local TV station. Drove 100 miles to have a relaxing dinner. Was refused from service because I had on jeans. Not old; torn jeans just jeans. Was Tuesday evening at 5 PM. Only saw two other dinners who were not dressed up.”

“If you are looking for fantastic pizza with a great variety of toppings look no further. If you prefer the lighter side of the menu, they have amazing salads and sandwiches. They offer a wide selection of alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks for the youngs.”

“Smoky, If you're a non-smoker, I'd avoid this place. The live music was great and the crowd, many of whom are clearly regulars, was there to have a good time. The major downside, was the service including the smart-ass bitches they've hired for waitresses and barmaid.”

“We have been regular customers for a number of years until recently. We had ordered take out food, my wife and daughter went to pick up our dinner upon returning to the car they inspected the order to find that the order was very small portions and when they went in and spoke to the night shift manager was less than helpful and responded that the weigh all of the orders so the order was in fact correct. My family returned home and I inspected the order after hearing the story that had unfolded and I myself was amazed at the small amount of food, we are not what you might call big eaters however I will tell you there was not enough there for three people as it should have been based on the cost of the dinner. the most important part of the situation was the way in which it was handled by the so called manager.”

“I am one of the pickiest people in the world when it comes to food. I however will tell you this is the best so don't listen to anyone that tells you different. We live in Michigan now and crave burrito enchilada styles more than anything. The hot sauce it oh so hot and to die for. So if you are in Springfield please stop by and try this wonderful menu and eat a burrito for me!”

“Not a good idea for a any traveler, business or otherwise. Thai food in Missouri is a stretch anyway but seriously this place is rough. Poor food, unacceptable atmosphere and overpriced drinks! If it weren't for the sweet waitress I would have left in the middle of the meal. If you have to eat Thai in Springfield look elsewhere.”

“Parrino's is a small cozy Italian restaurant where the food is authentic and hand made. The menu is varied enough that everyone should be able to find something to enjoy. You will need to ask your server about recommendations if it is your first visit. You must try the Mushrooms Louie Orone of the several house specialties. In short Parrinos is my familys favorite restaurant in Springfield.”

“You haven't had Chinese until you go to Bamboo Inn. The people that own and operate it are one of a kind. Most friendly people you'll meet. The food is the best I've ever had, and they've been open for over 30 years so they must be doing something right!”

“After reading about Nona's In the 417 magazine, our little group of 6 (minus 1 that night) decided to try the restaurant. ( we try a new restaurant twice a month) On 8-17-07 we drove to Springfield to enjoy a good Italian dinner. Our group of 5 tried 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 desserts. Each was as wonderful as we had hoped. The parking was good, the greeting was friendly and the service was just great. Our evening was so good that the next morning, I went to Nona's web site and sent them an email, telling them of our pleased we were with our dining experience. My wife and I will return for certain (we have retired to Missouri from California and are thrilled with the variety of good and reasonably priced places to dine in our area).”

“My husband and I ordered from the menu. He and I love Indian food, so we were excited when the Gem of India opened. I found the Gem of India's food to be of an outstanding quality and standard. It was better than anything I ever had in authentic Asian establishments in Europe. We found it to be so good that they partially catered our wedding buffet! The atmosphere was very friendly as well, and I enjoyed buying additional items from their small side grocery. Lots to experiment with! I remember a time when Springfield had no Chinese restaurants, now they probably rival McDonald's and Taco Bell in numbers. As with any exotic ethnic food, westerners just need time to get used to the flavors.”

“We make it a point to stop at George's anytime we are in Springfield. The burrito omelet is to die for! They make everything from scratch and their salsa is the best I've ever tasted.”

“If you're hungry for delicious, delicious food eat a burrito enchilada style from Mexican Villa. Don't worry about whether anything else on the menu might be good. Burrito enchilada style's) are made with love, trust me. Sweet saucy love. MMMMMmmmm. And the salsa is hot, so wait for your water before you dip in.”

“This is more of a college hang-out. I loved it, though. The food was great, and a brilliant price! I highly recommend it!”

“This place is GREAT! Best chips and salsa in Springfield. I try to eat there often with friends- great atmosphere. I always enjoy my meal- no matter what I get it fills me up! I often get something else to go so I can eat Mexican Villa at work!”

“This is the place to go if you want a slice of local color in Springfield. Their Blintz is the most fantastic breakfast item I have ever had, and I travel a lot. The atmosphere is right out of the 50's with things like Pig Hip on the menu, their way of talking about a pork shoulder roast. The service is friendly, down-home honest. You get what you put forth and I have always had a very friendly meal. I have only had breakfast but I highly recommend it. Even the local waiters at other restaurants tell me Aunt Martha's is the place to taste real Springfield, MO.”

“I was in Missouri for my wedding to my American sweetheart who told me about this awesome confection - Andy's Frozen Custard. We drove there at night and got a cup each and sat there savored the superb textures and flavors of this culinary masterpiece. We saw LOTS of children there enjoying the wonderful stuff. Sadly we don't have kids but if we did we would relocate to Springfield to be near here. If Andy sold franchises, I would buy one and set up in the UK. We would outsell ANYTHING else in the boring old UK. Springfield MO is THE Springfield featured in the Simpson's several clues in the series point to this, so perhaps Matt Greening should draw in an Andy's outlet in all future episodes. Top marks to Andy. My only complaint - there should be at least one in EVERY state. ”

“Terrible food! I guess I should have gotten pancakes. A restaurant shouldn't offer item's on their menu just because they feel the need for variety. If pancakes are the only thing that they can do properly, then make pancakes only please!”

“If I were the Mexican government, I would sue to have the name Mexican removed from this restaurant. It is, without doubt, the worst Mexican food you could ever be subjected to and pretty close to the worst food period. Greasy, bland, pseudo burritos swimming in a pool of fast food nacho cheese, the worst tamales in the world, the list goes on. The service is fast, which is good, because you'll want to get out of there as quickly as possible before the nausea hits.”

“This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The only thing positive I have said about this place is that it is family-friendly. And that is just because at any given point that you go there you get the pleasure of eating horrific food to the mood music of screaming children. I am tired of the misconception that this place is a good place to eat. You would have a better Mexican meal at Taco Bell than Mexican Villa.”

“Grew up in Springfield Missouri, and had many great and romantic meals there with my girlfriend who lived in the Phelps Grove Park area. We would always walk over there from her house. Thanks for the great memories. ”

Gem Of India “Ate the lunch buffet, most of the dishes were very similar. They did a very good job labeling so general public would know what was in the dish. Enjoyed tring the new flavors but would not be the first choice of where to eat in future. Would however go back for a change of pace in flavor.”
