• Friendly staff and great view. Decent prices.
• Sometimes the non smoking section is full and we had to go in the back section. Feel isolated.

“We love Castaways! The food is great and we love the view of the lake. The salad with the dried cherries in it is fantastic!”

• Wait staff and food.
• Smoke in non-section area.

“Nice winter night to go out to eat. A bit too Smokey (even in the non-section). Awesome food and margaritas. Needs some attention to small details, but over all good places. Needs to be advertised better so you know that it exists!”

• Great food.
• Prices of drinks go up a little when the band starts, but worth the free entertainment.

“Have some great entertainment on Thursdays thru Saturdays. Just caught several shows of the band Tung Tyed, which was there for the whole month of January 08. They are a variety band that plays everything from country, blues to Rock. Very wonderful time and the bar were packed every time I went.”

• The cooks no how to do there part.
• What not to like.

“Wow this place is the best restaurant for miles my favorite thing was the bread sticks, the owner came to use and told us about the restaurant and he a real gentle man. Try there wine its fantastic Erin.”

• I liked how the staff was right there to take your food when you were done.
• The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom had been trashed by another customer.

“I think e.g. nicks is the best restaurant in lapper. Whatever those other people say are lies, I went in there last Friday and the service was fantastic. The food was awesome I Evan had a little chat with owner. He really takes care of his business. I really do fell that the people that havent gone there really should it is a great experience.”

• It the best restaurant in Lapeer!
• No negatives.

“This restaurant is overall my favorite place to eat in Lapeer; they have the most amazing breadsticks I have ever tasted! I had a small graduation party there and everyone that attended loved the food! But yes I would definitely eat there if I wasnt from Lapeer because it is one of the best restaurants.”

• Need larger & more signs to find location.

“Flat iron steak is excellent. Martinis good. What an improvement from a few years back, things really went down hill. Booths have been refurbished, does need help outside. But am sure that will come.”

• I loved it, all of it.
• A little expensive.

“I liked the experience. You could feel in the atmosphere the warm, romantic and friendly feeling. The food was. A little on the expensive side. But once you taste the food it is worth the money. When you dine there you feel like you are special, because the place is so nice, it's like famous people should dine there. I think you should go and see this amazing restaurant!”

• The atmosphere and food are the best.
• The outside of building would use updating and cleaning.

“One of my favorite restaurants! I love it! The atmosphere makes you feel like you are out of town with the view of nepessing lake. The wait staff is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable too. The food is wonderful. My favorite is the chicken fettuccini. Love it! It's a perfect 10!”

• Very friendly, and the food is awesome! I love it!
• Tables inside restaurant too crowded. We usually order to go.

“Anything I ever ordered tasted great! From soups, sweet and sour chicken, pork, almond chicken, steak knows. Etc. Very good food.”

• The blackened bow tie pasta is delicious and enough for 3 meals!
• I didn't experience anything negative

“I love this restaurant. They have great salads (the blackened chicken and Greek are my favourite) not to mention the best bread sticks I have ever had. But don't forget to order the cheese dip for the breadsticks; it makes them taste even better!”

• Good tasting food, good proportions, nice atmosphere.
• Waiters are not terrific.

“Regardless of time of day there is low lighting, which can be nice. The smoking and non-smoking sections are very separated which makes for pleasant dining for non-smokers. The wait staff are just okay, it really depends on your waiter, but they are not terrible. I will say the food is pretty good, the deserts are not as good as the food and drinks. They have great bread sticks In general the proportions are good, I have always had enough to bring home a doggy bag.”
