• All most everything.

“Horrible food that took aging to be delivered our poor server seemed to be so over extended that no one seemed to be getting etiquette service.”

“Big Joe's food was not up to par with other downtown Kalamazoo cuisine. The food was awful and the employees were in your personal space. I did not enjoy my experience.”

• Too expensive, horrible food, poor service, avoid at all costs!

“I brought a friend. We each had the ribs and shrimp plate and a pop. My friend asked to have onion rings substituted for his fries, which the waitress said okay too, and I had the ranch fries. I had seafood soup, and he had coleslaw. The meal also came with one piece of white bread toast cut in half each. The soup was okay, tasted like it was maybe home made? The onion rings were very greasy and huge, but what do you expect? The shrimp was frozen then deep fried and they were pretty good. The ribs were terrible. They tasted like they had been boiled for a few hours then put in the microwave to reheat, then a drizzle of barbecue sauce squirted on them. My ranch fries were inedible. They tasted like frozen fries that were deep fried then dipped in ranch flavored salt. Each fry was completely covered with salt! Horrible. When it came time to pay up, they charged $6 for the onion rings even though they said there would be no extra charge. When I asked about it, I was told that they had to charge for them. She should have warned me and I would not have done it. They also added an 18% tip!”

• All of the food in this place is mind-blowingly good.
• Nothing? I guess the prices have gone up a little (6$ now).

“I have been going to King Wok almost every single weekend for the last five years and I can tell you that this place is just as good if not better than when I first started going there. Incredible food, you can get some seriously good sushi on certain days (and I lived in Japan) and they also have Mongolian grill for no extra cost. If you have ever been in Kalamazoo and you haven't been to King Wok you should straight up slap yourself.”

• Highly delicious fried chicken, superior to national chicken-bucket chains.
• Dining room leaves something to be desired, but is clean at least.

“If you are hankering for delicious fried chicken look no further than the chicken coop. A superior food product to what they serve at national Chicken-bucket chains. The dining experience is decidedly fast-food, but the food is highly delectable. The fried fish items on the menu are also extremely tasty - two or three steps above your typical fast-food fare. Great for take out. The dining room is a typical fast-food dining experience - hard bench booth seating, get your own napkins and straws, bus your own trays, etc.”

• Super generous sushi portions.
• View from the street is nothing special, inside is great.

“Very Best Sushi in West Michigan - large portions of fresh tasty fish creatively presented and inexpensive to boot. Habachi grills are ablaze with cooking and chopping wizardly - great entertainment and so delicious. Family owned and run with a great friendly staff. Walk past the waterwheel to the habachi tables or past the aquariums to the sushi bar and find a great time for a date, a family outing, or business entertainment. Offers both Japanese and Korean entrees - lots of wonderful tastes to explore.”

• I will return as often as I can. The food, service and value are excellent.
• There is nothing negative that I can or would say about Cafe Gulistan at all.

“The middle eastern cuisine is fresh, flavorful and always delightful. The menu selections satisfy everyone from vegetarian to people who like meat or fish. The service is warm and friendly. It is unlike any other restaurant in southwest Michigan and pleasure that will have you leave wanting to come back.”

“While waiting in line for a table on Saturday morning, someone ordered a waffle, from where I was standing I had a view of the kitchen and saw this waffle thrown into the garbage by the man making waffles because it was over cooked, the head cook went to the garbage and to my surprise she pulled it out and told the young man to plate it up. The bar is nice, but anything from the kitchen is "eat at your own risk".”

• Outstanding food and relaxing, sophisticated atmosphere.
• Can be a bit noisy at times.

“Without a doubt, this restaurant is a foodie's paradise. The menu is varied, but has something for everyone, unless you prefer bland, chain-restaurant food of questionable quality. Local growers and purveyors get the emphasis here and the menu offers seasonal dishes. Sophisticated urban atmosphere, the best breakfasts you'll find anywhere and very personal service. Good bar and wine list too.”

• Salsa is a little on the weak side, sandwiches should have toasted buns.

• I love everything about this restaurant.
• I got full too fast and couldn't eat more.

“Best steak I have every had. Forget Lone Star, Texas Roadhouse or other steak places. Hana East has the best. Excellent choice for couples to families. Entertainment while you eat provided by the chef cooking at your table. Very fun place plus excellent food. I have never tasted anything like their ginger salad dressing which is fabulous. Great fish and seafood very fresh.”

• The chips!
• Not a non-smoking restaurant.

“I usually order one of the wraps. Its a big enough meal for me to take half a wrap home. The potato chips are the best! Definitely not like chips out of a bag. There is outside seating, call ahead seating and a take out menu available. If you are in the area, come try it out.”

“I used the drive thru and received the wrong order. I called when I got home and was told they would make it right the next time I came in (which is about 2-3 times a month). shortly after, the manager called me back to tell me I would not be getting anything because I had not ordered what I said I did. she believed her employee over me.”
