“Their Egg Foo Young is awesome. Hot and sour soup is very good. I agree with others that the service could be much better. They need to be more attentive when people walk in and more attentive to their tables.”

“Golden Chopsticks serves the best Chinese food in Traverse City. The major downside is the service is terrible. I have been going to this restaurant for eight years. The Sunday buffet offering is very good and reasonable including sushi, however when they claim to be open at 11:00, nothing is ready until 12:00. Items off the menu are very good as well. I suggest going here if you have extra time and want good Chinese, and are willing to endure; waiting to be recognized at the door when you arrive, table side service, waiting for a cashier to show up so that you can pay to leave.”

• Sushi made to order. Great variety and always fresh.
• Service when you first walk in could be faster. Not very attentive, but servers at the table are great.

“Love their Sushi. Servers are very good at recommending dishes and meeting your tastes. Love the free ragoons that come with your meal and variety of soups offered. Food is always fresh and never over done with the sauces included in meal. Great prices and the families are very friendly.”

• Great selection of healthier dishes as well as a good selection of beers.
• Umm. None.

“This restaurant was great in many ways. The casual crowd fits right in, as well as a table of suits right next to them. The food is wonderful, as well as the different types of drinks. The atmosphere is great for meeting people for business, or a hip place to get a drink later in the evening.”

• The healthy food selection as well as the tea selection.
• Run-down bathrooms.

“The omelets shop is the best place to eat breakfast in traverse city, hands down. The atmosphere was more of an old diner type establishment, similar to Dennys or the like. However, the food was a-1 excellent. The only downer to the experience was the bathrooms being a tad run-down. If a bit more time and effort was put into the restrooms there would not be any negatives at all.”

• Steak is the specialty.

“Modes is a great place for a dine in. If you're looking for a nice t-bone, this is the place for you. I've never had a steak with so many flavors in my life :). The salads are great you get 1/4 head of lettuce with homemade ranch smothered all over it. :) wow!”

• The best egg drop soup I¿ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Made with cabbage.
• Pad Thai isn't that great.
