Almost all of the staff were wonderful and helpful people.
Well, they recently raised their prices, but who hasn't.

“Excellent food, fast and friendly service, nice variety on the menu and really nice deserts. You really do get what you pay for.”

Chicken tenderloins, BBQ chicken.
Ribs-fatty, service horrible, and food without flavor. Would I recommend this restaurant to someone else no..

“This was one of the worst restaurants I have had the pleasure to experience. Once again, this was during a birthday dinner. The restaurant was informed that we (party of 5) had a member who was celebrating a birthday. We ordered several appetizers (chicken tenderloins-great, crab stuff mushrooms-fowl, and the mini burgers-bland. The mini burger were cooked medium and we forgot to tell them we preferred them cooked well. One had been cut in half and the other had been bitten into. The waitress took the burgers back to the kitchen and had them cooked for a little longer. When the burgers were returned, we realized that they had changed the top buns however returned the original burgers. So, does this mean they took the burger which had been bitten into and placed that on the grill. Wouldn't that be against the health codes because that burger was contaminated with germs. Or, did they put it in the microwave. Either way, it just seem wrong! Although, we were now skeptical we ordered dinner. The BBQ chicken was good, the ribs were fatty, the fried shrimp was bland, and they mixed up the order of a turkey burger with smoked bacon with a veggie burger with bacon, go figure. The sides were plentiful, bake potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, and cold slaw. But, other than the corn, and a bake potato, but without flavor so who would want to eat them. Now lets touch on service. Our waitress was horrible. I should have know when she did not provide her name and had to be asked. No, not me I had to set that aside and give her a chance, She failed to keep the table clean of dishes, although we helped by stacking them up on the table for her, and it took for ever for us to get our food. Did she apologize for the wait, - no. She acted as if she didn't want to be bothered by us.”

Non smoking, easy parking and ribs.

“I have been going to Vinsetta Grill long before the recent great newspaper articles that have been written and before their great remodel. It's always been great! The owners are always there and very hands on. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and the service is great! Try the ribs, and if you like hard to find beef ribs this is the place to go. The menu is primarily ribs and chicken reasonably priced around $13-$18 a meal. The burgers are great and the salads are huge! Another plus is that the entire restaurant is non smoking, including the bar! With all the recent press, the restaurant is usually busy, but the wait is rarely long. The owners take pride in serving good food and the wait staff is great!”

Good food, good drinks, laid back atmosphere.
Service occasionally a little slow.

“My wife and I enjoy regular visits to Vinsetta Grille because we find the food quite good and a fair value for the money. In my view she used a lot of hyperbole in describing her complaints. Admittedly this is not a spot for the young crowd looking for a lot of noise and action. The atmosphere is laid back and relatively quiet. The place is usually full even on week night so a lot of people are voting positively with their pocketbooks.”

The food, the price point, the atmosphere, and the service.
Difficult to find.

“November 2007 - we were going to dinner for the DSO. I called and they described exactly what I was looking for. They really exceeded my expectations. There is a new owner and in three months it will be a little different so I want to go again and see what it will be like. It was a little difficult to get to since the place is located on a one way street and Im not familiar with the area very well.”

Lamb, chicken, Cornish hen, shank.
Some negative vibes when it is busy.

“I like this restaurant. The lamb is incredible (cooked medium rare). The shank was delicious. Most of the food is excellent. I have had some bad encounters with one of the waiters who was very rude. Beyond that, this restaurant and Zumba! Remain to be the best and the cheapest restaurants in royal oak.”

Convenient location.
Food.

“Visited this restaurant again in 10/07. Food was awful. We had all been there numerous times, with mixed reviews. We thought one more try was worth it for the convenient location. All of us dine out often. We each had different entrees and then vowed never to return. The prices are way too high for the quality presented. They have enormous entree salads with mostly tired iceberg lettuce and a few pieces of tomato for $11.99. Their inexplicable separate burger menu allows you to decorate your burger, but anything extra, like a second slice of pickle will be charged. The hamburgers are 1000% better at any number of bars up and down Woodward Ave, and they are way more accommodating. The crowd is mostly people from local businesses and retirement homes. Take somebody you don't like there!”
