“Drove a long way to eat a Maryland crab cake at the renowned Woody's on Saturday, Aug 15th. Only the poor service by a waitress that didn't seem to want to be there out shown the lousy food. Crab cake was small and missing crab, but heavy on filler. However the atmosphere was great, we left the food and paid the bill, never to return again.”

“This restaurant was a tiny gem in the midst of an even tinier town. We mistakenly found it after attempting to go to another place which was packed and ridiculously expensive for its fare. The menu was extensive and the server always seem to be friendly and more than helpful. There was a very casual section in the front and an area in the back with tablecloths and dimmed lighting. The food was amazing, especially for the price and the servers were so pleasant. We love it and you will also.”

“Crab soup, so thick it was wall paper paste. Offered a taste to two companions, none of us could taste any crab. Crab cakes, for Maryland, about average. A Maryland crab cake should have a hint of Bay Seasoning, these had none. Cole slaw, I think my wife's came from a different batch. If out location it would be nothing.”

“My wife took me to Woodies for my birthday this past Monday afternoon. It came highly recommended from one of her co-workers. My wife had the lobster bisque, I had the crab soup. Very good lots of crab. We then ordered a second order of steamers. Best I have had in quite a while, not at all sandy. We then shared a pair of Crab Cakes with Cole Slaw and 2xmashed potatoes. It seemed all of it was crab. Excellent! With that I added a lobster tail for $10.00, expecting to get one of those tiny tails, but to my surprise it was rather large. Well worth the 10 bucks. We drove 43 miles down, just for lunch and another 43 miles back home. And wed do it again in a Heartbeat. Next time we will be taking some friends along for the ride, or should I say for the food.”

“Been to Woody's twice so far and each time it was great. Best crab cakes I've had in years. Atmosphere is great, leaking ceiling, brown paper table cloths, everything. Just like Baltimore crab houses years ago. It's a nice ride from Lancaster to Woody's and the pot at the end of the rainbow is a pot of crabs.”

“Chain pizza restaurant but lots of other options. Good appetizers - we love the broccoli bites. Pretty average.”
