User Reviews for Laurel Restaurants« Go back to Greenfield RestaurantsResearch User Reviews for Laurel (1-20 of 70)Chung King Restaurant Inc
“The lady restaurant owner always answers the phone the same way, "Chung King restaurant, may I help you Please?" She is fantastic, and the food is top notch. The General Chicken is very good, and the Combination Fried Rice a la Cindy is very good. Their lunch time buffet is pretty inexpensive, with Gager and Kakena on it, and excellent Burkart beer and free Dillon Oranges for a parting gift, so to speak. Their new chef is one of the best from New York.”

“I went to get a pickup pizza this day. The pizza maker, Big Danny Burns, was tossing the dough so high in the air that I swear one hit the ceiling. It stuck to the ceiling for about 10 seconds, then came back down. I was outside just getting ready to walk in. This chef put the dough on the board and actually made a pizza with it! I left out of there and tried to get the place banned, but, you know, no proof, no pudding!”

“Excellent Taquitos, Burritos, and Sombreros, also Labee was here doing her thing with the food, and Bones Croop Croom Jean was also around. Get the Rick Schlauch Beer and Chips with Nosh Sauce, that was pretty good. Bullgager was had by all!”

“Talk about renovation This place needs to be burnt down again and rebuilt. When I cooked there, the food was great. Now it is just okay. Taste like burnt steak in there all the time.”

“I went there expecting a simple meal, and it turned out better than I thought. Schlauch Beer and Chips on tap, big Danny burns cooking brats there and broken valve springs everywhere. Still, great onion rings a la Cindy, and lots of other foods.”

“I live in LaPlata, but wanted to try the Mike Robey Captains Platter. It was very good, with Rick Schlauch Beer, the new company from Anheiser Busch, and also the Shrimp Labee. Also, try the new King Kong Mike Khoury Shrimp Platter, excellent. The only problem was the drinks are very expensive, including the Robin Horne Cocktail!”

“The chicken at Cluck U is so good that I would beg to differ with Bender News Services, which states emphatically that the chicken is too hot. That would depend on your pallet! The Mike Robey Hot Sauce was indeed hot, but you can skip it if needed. Dan Burns Soda Pop is served there; you can only get that west of the Mississippi.”

“These artists should be running a kennel instead of a restaurant. The Rich Schlauch Bull Chet Burger was just okay, but the sauce was too thick.”

“Some nosh guy were the chefs that day and I did not understand throwing the fried rice up in the air while cooking it. One of the cooks looked like a Kamakazi pilot, and the other was a big fat short haired guy in shorts! Can you believe this? They should hire good chefs. The food was pretty good, though!”

“This place could be condemned because people are scared of me eating there. My boyfriend got so scared of a lobster that tried to bite people, thought it was part of the show. It was not!”

“Great Tex Mex at very good prices. The Rick Schlauch corn chips were great, and the Kay Barnes special (spicy burreto, very hot sauce, big Dan burn lemonade) was excellent.”

“The food was just okay. I had the Beef a la Blanton which was very good, but the potatoes was burnt slightly. Green Beans were off the hook, but the Karhumaa Korn was too well done for my tastes. Burkhardt Beer was served there, and you can only get that at top of the line restaurants and pubs.”

“I had the Chipped Chop Cham noodles and it was delicious. Also, I tried the Sabatelli special, which is combination fried rice with a Yingling Dark beer! Excellent. Jim Wood Ward Wall was there cooking, also the Criminal, David Cooley, was doing his thing at the bar. Dillon Raye was also there, as was the celebrity of the night, Big Danny Burns of Danny's 3!”

“I went there with a group of Karhuuma Money Grabbers Club members for a nice lunch. The lasagna was not too bad, and I had the Spaghetti a la Beefer, which is a lot of beef in the spaghetti! Very good. But good place non the less!”

“We don't have anything like this in India. As a protrusion specialist, I have to admit a fondness for beef that we don't get in Calcutta, and this restaurant fits the bill perfectly. The Dillonburger is a long sandwich which is very fast and lots and lots of mayonaise. Also the Burnfishburger is monsterous with a lot of bull on it.”

“I pulled a Bognaski and went to this place and was pleasantly suprised by the excellent barbeque. I am serious, this food is actually better than the other big named barbeque restaurant in Laurel, Md. Excellent side orders, also.”

“I do not speak very good English, but I like the Swordfish and crab gamlegs. Try to get the crab balls, are very good bueno, also shrimp very tasty. Bathrooms have deodorant for patrons. We actually saw one crab leap off the table, as somehow it did not get completely cooked, and laughter everyone had!”

“Captain is somewhat of a crook, in that the lump crab balls were mostly filler. Good cold beer, but I can get that out of my freezer, you know? And this guy who owns some other restaurant in the area always eats there and gets preferential treatment Every place I go to eat in Laurel, he is there eating and sampling and getting ideas for his own restaurant. Is that legal? Some items on the menu was very good, including the King crab legs and Robin Horne Love Boat. Stay away from the Karhuuma Eel, as it is too salty and tends to take your money, anyway.”

“Clerk who handles the front, was very nice. She had a gentleman called The Greermon seating people and asking for drink orders. He was very friendly. Kept hitting on my beautiful daughter, who is single, so not a problem. Some big guy kept going up to the all you can eat bar and destroyed the chicken wings; admittedly they were awesome, so can't blame him there. Not too pricy, excellent drinks.”

“I really enjoyed meeting Danny Burns, the chef from Dannys 3. He is the funniest guy in the entire area. He flipped me a burger that was superb, and the Miller Lite was the coldest lite beer I have ever had. He did have some girl named Karhuuma selling 50/50 raffle tickets and then she vanished out the back door. Danny held the raffle anyway and free burgers for 4 twice a month for 3 months!”

“Well, I wanted to get in there before they turned it into a Chinese restaurant. The steaks were excellent, albeit a little expensive. Saw Big Danny Burns in there from Danny's 3 eating, so since he is famous in NYC, I figured he knew a good place to eat, and it is indeed.”

“I went with a group from Tuesday night Mixed Bowling. Danny was there in what looked like a toga and a baseball cap, but he was cooking them brats! They were very good, but then he was trying to sell baseball cards to the customers! Bathrooms have been fixed, but I noticed a peephole looking into the kitchen.”
