“This is a great place for any kind of food. They are your normal pizza/sub/wing delivery place, but also have great Indian food! Its a great place to order from for delivery, better than the Pizza Boli's or any other local delivery place.”

“Staff was personable, polite, and most helpful. I was in town for surgery and my family was made comfortable and secure there. We liked the location and have plans to return there.”

“Was not expecting much because the place looks like a run down shack, were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Cheese steak was excellent. My wife actually asked owner for recipe of the cajun shrimp chicken sub. She loved it. Good luck finding the place but if you do you're in for a treat.”

“Kahler's has the best steamed crabs consistently of anywhere else we have tried. It is very informal and they let you bring your own beer which they will ice down in a cooler for you. We love the informality and atmosphere for a fun night eating crabs with friends. They also have other food on the menu if someone doesn't like crabs, soups, burgers, platters, etc. I recommend it for any crab lovers out there!”

“This was the worst experience I've ever experienced at a restaurant. The pasta floated in sauce, the meat was like rubber and the service was indifferent. The waitress could have cared less that we didn't care for our food. There were plenty of other fine dining Italian restaurants in the area.”

“The server was nice but was not aware of Spanish dishes and the manager was unavailable to talk to us. We decided to dine here because of the atmosphere however I don't think the owner puts a lot of time in to make sure the guest are comfortable and enjoying themselves. It seemed all they're interested in is taken your money. I wish them better luck in the future. Maybe they could clean up the some place. It seemed that they don't spend a lot time worried about hospitality and food for thought for the entire staff treat people how you'd would like to be treated. The only positive side was the food I can tell the kitchen staff may work a little harder. The presentation was excellent and worth the buck. However, the server didn't deserve a tip even though we gave her one, due to her working environment. Last but not the least I feel the health department should take a better look at whats really going on in this particular restaurant.”

“It boggles my mind that with pricey Johns Hopkins nearby, there are no better restaurants around. This place is just a mediocrity. Bland unseasoned food, wasabi with no bite whatsoever, generic decor. The seafood pancake is almost ok, just far too greasy; the avocados in the avocado rolls are watery and flavorless; the vegetable teriyaki is a plateful of gummy noodles soaked in some pointless brown liquid, with a few scraps of vegetables tossed in for garnish; the miso soup is dark and nowhere near subtle. I've gone back a few times hoping it would be better, but won't return.”

“Sofis is just a short walk from Penn Station. There is another location farther down Charles Street, but this one is the most accessible. Also, it located next to The Charles Theater, and is a perfect pre or post movie treat. Sofis is moderately priced with excellent value. Crpes range from $4 to $8, so ordering more than one is affordable. Inside the rectangular shaped restaurant, the walls are splashed with bright colors, and upbeat music plays in the background, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The servers match Sofis funky vibe as well. Everyone is young, hip and friendly, and has an attitude that brings life to the restaurant. Sofis has both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside room includes a long bar against the window lined with black leather chairs. Ive found that this area can get quite cramped when the restaurant fill with people. If the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outside at one of the tables. Its a great place to people watch, too, a slightly creepy but favorite activity of mine. At Sofis, crepes are ordered and paid for at the front counter. Service is speedy and efficient. Ive never waited more than five minutes for a crpe. Even better, the crpes are prepared adjacent to the front counter, so I can watch my meal being made nearly 10 feet in front of me. I always look for this quality in restaurants because I know that I am in fact eating real food! And Sofis definitely passes the test. Ingredients such as tomatoes and avocados are always fresh. Sofis offers two different options on its menu, savory crpes and sweet crpes. Savory crpes are filled with ham, turkey, mozzarella, cheddar or gruyere cheese, mushrooms, and endless other items. Sweet crpes are the ideal dessert, filled with Nutella, cinnamon, caramel and other indulgences. The savory crpes are filling enough to make a meal out of, but dont worry, youll still have room for a sweet crpe. My biggest dilemma at Sofis is choosing a crepe because every one of them sounds delicious (and is!). For savory options, I recommend the Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Tomato Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil crpe. The combination of flavors mixed together in a warm, soft crpe is quite satisfying. I also like the Ham, Gruyere Cheese and Dijon Mustard crpe, which is simple but flavorful. I do suggest holding the Dijon mustard, which can overpower the gruyere cheese. Orders are flexible and can be modified any way you prefer. For example, my server had no problem withholding the Dijon mustard from my crpe, and even asked if I wanted to add any other fillings to it. Also appealing is the Kevin Bacon, which consists of turkey, bacon, cheese, tomato and 1000 Island dressing. The crpe is named for the actor, Kevin Bacon, who has eaten at Sofis. The Crpe Florentine is also appetizing, containing fresh spinach, mushrooms, gruyere cheese, sunflower seeds and a peppery Parmesan sauce. Next time I go, I want to try to BBQ Shredded Pork and Cheddar Cheese Crpe. After enjoying two savory crepes (I was really hungry on this particular occasion), I tackled the sweet crepes. My favorite is the crpe filled with Nutella, a chocolate hazelnut spread that is mouth wateringly delicious. This Nutella crpe may be simple, but it never disappoints. This time, I tried the Apple Crisp, which contains apples, caramel, and cinnamon with graham crackers crumbs. My apple chunks were a bit mushy, though, distracting me from the cinnamon and caramel flavors. I recommend sharing the Peanut Butter Cup Crpe with a friend, as its too rich to finish alone. The Butterscotch Crpe is another simple, but tasty crpe that wont make you sick to your stomach. The Turtle Crepe combines chocolate, caramel and nuts, and is another smart choice.”

“This restaurant had been one of my favorites since the early 90s until Saturday. If you ask that your pasta be cooked al dente you'll be told it's cooked in batches and you have to eat it that way or you'll have to order something else and then the waitress will argue with you instead of leaving the table to ask the chef to cook your pasta properly. Then she'll tell you that you're disturbing the other customers and when you leave in a huff with your dinner half/not eaten she'll tell you to have a nice evening.”

“My husband and I were very disappointed in the food. We both had the cream of crab that tasted like a canned soup base, not freshly made. My husband had a crab cake that he said tasted like a frozen grocery store crab cake. We paid the same price as we have for freshly made from other places.”

“Tambers restaurant has been our favorite for a long time. Why? Because it is a local reliable eating place, with easy to access to parking (hospital parking is on the other side and will cost $one symbolic dollar with a stamp from the restaurant) it was the kidss favorite diner: it was called nifty fifty. A cool place with neon lights, fake leather banquets, juke box that worked and great posters of American Icons. The food has that good quality of homemade dishes from a diner selection, buffalo wings, skin potatoes, lasagna, and cheese hamburger with big fries. Yet, I preferred the other side of the very reasonably priced menu. The Indian cuisine with vegetarian dishes, the lamb korma, chicken tika, curry or masala to name just a few. The kids always finish with their delicious milkshakes which can also be ordered in the carry-out section of the restaurant. the owner shared with us pictures of his new born daughter and his staff never fail to recognize us with a smile. You too will leave with a smile and a bursting of aroma in your mouth. .”

“How they get such nice waitresses to work where the kitchen service is terrible and the food is mediocre, I do not know. We gave Paul's yet a third try thinking "How can they ruin breakfast?". Forty minutes after we arrived and many apologies from the waitress later we received underdone mini omelets and cold potatoes and toast. Never again.”

“Great bar restaurant, a bit Smokey although. Great sandwiches and soups and very friendly staff (typical Baltimore Bar). Not a fine dinning place but perfect for the casual business traveler wanting a good well priced meal. Not a singles bar. A lot like cheers with friendly atmosphere and great sandwiches.”

“As someone who often travels from Europe to the u.s. On business, I can say I believed it was not possible to have a real Italian meal in America. Nice ambience, good fresh seasonal dishes served by those who know about what they are selling. I have been twice now and hope to return. The specials are the best value for money as they are seasonal. I liked the bar area also which was comfortable and the wine list was fantastic.”

“I went here with a large group. The food was ok, very beautiful on the water, but the service was horrible and our chicken dishes were all red inside the drunken owner came over after we complained and basically slobbered on us drunk and told us too bad! Never again so not worth it! How rude. Definitely, will be shut down soon probably!”

“The owner has driven away the only good part about this restaurant, its young and talented chef. My wife and I have been very common customers of Crepe Du Jour, but why go to a restaurant if the food is no longer good. Being more common than most, we have gotten to know many of the familiar faces that work there, for example the young departed chef. We went 2 times after the chef left, and both times were bad. Not ok or alright, but actually bad! The terrible owner has done everything to his building to increase profits: through construction and extensions and his outdoor terrace. However, he has lost sight at the two things that truly matter in the restaurant business: The food and the customers. Many times visiting, we have heard his ranting and hollering at his employees and even a customer in one instance! My wife and I are disappointed we do not know where the young chef has gone, nor do we know his name!, but we are certain it did not take him long to find another employer. To those thinking of visiting Crepe Du Jour, don't! My wife and I will no longer support an owner who does not deserve the good fortune he has and doesn't recognize it.”

“My wife and I have gone to Crepe du Jour for years now. At one point, our kitchen was being remodeled, we were there 2 or more times a week! We loved the food more than any other place. We went time and time again to see very familiar faces. The last 2 times we went, we realized the problem. The owner. We went often to enjoy the food and the small family style restaurant, but the food is now different and the restaurant has undergone construction. It has lost its Paris feel, and its head chef. The last time we went, we were disgusted by the food (the time before too). It wasn't the same. The Crepes were too crispy and the sauce in the Crepe wasn't the same. My wife ordered one of the specials which came out bland boring, and overpriced. We couldn't walk away again unhappy without finding out some sort of reasoning for the downfall of one of our favorite restaurants. We asked our waitress and everything became clear: The young talented chef was no longer employed there. We had met him briefly on several occasions. He seemed very interested in what we had and if we enjoyed it. We can only assume that the owner, whom we heard so many bad things about over the few years as customers, had either fired this young man or drove him away as he did several servers in our time. We were excited to go to the next restaurant he worked; however, our waitress did not know where the young chef had gone. Sunday brunch will never be the same for my wife and I. Needless to say, my wife and I will not be returning to Crepe Du Jour.”

“What happened to our favorite restaurant. We went this past Saturday and were deeply disappointed. The food was horrible, the presentation - very sloppy and our waitress was just dry and unpleasant. We were so upset that our long time favorite restaurant turned into the worst experience. I wonder if the old owners that made this restaurant famous for its quality, taste and overall great experience know that the new owners turned this wonderful place into middling dinner.”

“Sotto spore is the complete package to me, great Italian food. Not American Italian but Italian food both contemporary and nods to the rational. The restaurant is housed in the tm. Vernon district of downtown in a fabulous historic town home with tile floors, large mirrors and a gorgeous mural. I would call it casual chic. Service is impeccable, not stuffy. I've dined their multiple times when I wanted a nice place to take a client to lunch to Monday nights where the wine-by-the-bottle is half price. I'm not surprised it has been around over 10 years. The place has spirit...”

“Surprisingly, this place has very tasty & authentic Indian food. Definitely get it to go, as there is no ambiance here - they offer a large selection of traditional Indian foods - surprising for a "pizza & subs" place, but I am going back for the yummy Indian food! Huge portion sizes.”

“The bartender Lakiesia (Thursday night) was a little ghetto, for lack of a better term. Her ignorance made the experience rather lack luster. The manager, Derrick, was extremely aggressive in his flirtation and presumptuous with his remarks. The environment was absolutely unprofessional; they never have to worry about my business or that of my associates.”

“I live in the Greek town area of Chicago where the Greek restaurants are supposed to be the best. Well guess what they are not the best, the Acropolis is hands down the best and most authentic Greek cuisine that I have ever tasted. The braised lamb was out of this world, the lamb shank was so tender the meat melted in your mouth. My friends were also very pleased. One had the whole red snapper, it was so fresh you could taste the salt from the ocean. My other friend had the lamb chops, he said they were very tender and spiced perfectly, the first time he did not need to use mint jelly. My wife decided to have crab cakes the night before we went to a restaurant where their crab cakes were voted Baltimore's best (GM). She said the crab cakes at the Acropolis were not only better, they were bigger no filler, and they costed a lot less. You also need to try their salad with their phenomenal house dressing and the dolmades hands down we all agreed they were the best. Save room for dessert it is free after dinner the bestrice pudding and Greek custard in fillo we have evr had. For me the Acropolis is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. I almost forgot the service was very good and the manager suggested what we should eat, he was right on. ”

When visiting we always ask for our favorite Server (whom I will not name). He makes our dining all the more special! The Sangria is wonderful and you must save room for the Baked Alaska! ”

“I've been frequenting this wonderful place for more years than I'd like to mention. It's like going home but you don't have to do the dishes! They treat you like family and try to accommodate your every need. There's never a doubt in my mind as to what to answer if someone asks my favorite restaurant. I've never been disappointed and always look forward to a visit. Make sure to ask for Peachy. she is the best. If you're lucky enough to sit at one of her tables your experience will be complete!”
