Lobster Dock

• The menu, staff and location sunsets!
• Not open all year.

“We get to spend a lot of time in the Booth bay region each summer. And we spend many a time at the Lobster Dock when we don't want to fuss in our own kitchen. It has the initial appearance of a lobster shack but once you look at the menu and wine and staff the lobster shack mode disappears. We love the crab cakes and I guess Bobby Flay did too as they have a photo of him on their sign. Everything we try never disappoints, even their steak is amazing when your all fished out. But our favorite is obviously the Lobster!”

“Every summer I have to go to my favorite place in Maine, it is unique, creative and one of a kind. It's the Chowder House, a family owned company for 30 years. Whether having cocktails overlooking the harbor with the setting sun or enjoying a cup of chowder before kayaking, there is no other place like it!”

“ This past summer was our first visit to Boothbay harbor but certainly won't be our last. We absolutely loved the chowder house. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the boat bar is greatest idea I¿ve seen. I recommend this place to anyone who will be going even close to Maine.”

• The owners are always on site to ensure good service.
• How can you find something wrong with perfection!

“To relax at the boat bar and enjoy the sun at the edge of the harbor makes my summer complete. The salmon chowder is to die for! I own all of the cookbooks that have included the famous chowder house recipes--especially the toll house squares! And it's always fun to run into a celebrity.”

• Bad service.

“Over the summer my family and I traveled to the Maine coast. The service at the restaurant was terrible. The bartender was on her phone the entire time and seemed annoyed that we were there. She put the "dumb" in dumb blonde. ”

• Nice view of the harbor.
• Food nondescript Service was painfully slow.

“Average food - much of it fried. Service was slower than a snail during off peak hours.”

• Excellent high quality meals.
• $$$ but worth it.

“Excellent food- home made pasta. Authentic Italian cuisine- no spaghetti and meat balls here. Excellent veal dishes and many seafood entries Chef/owners are from Italy. Homemade desserts include tiramisu and mousse. A pleasant surprise to have such an offering in a small town.”
