• Atmosphere and location cannot be beat.
• Fan overhead blows on you when you walk in.

• The enchilada had plenty of meat in it.
• Rice was lousy (plain) and hardly any Verde sauce with my meal. What's that about?

“The rice is awful - not Spanish rice at all. Just white and wet. Very stingy with the Verde sauce. Enchilada Verde should be covered in cheese with a lot of Verde sauce, not just a small dribble on the plate.”

• Lobster quiche. Breakfast food!
• Nothing.

“Great breakfast place. Ate here over memorial weekend I had the lobster & porcini quiche which was great it came with a side of home fries & wheat toast, friends had the 'usual affair' (eggs bacon home fries) & others had the 'scramble special' which was eggs, scallions, asparagus & cheese w/home fries it was very good, yum will definitely be back for more!”

• Blueberry pancakes, whole wheat toast desserts looked delish!
• Nothing.

“We stumbled upon the cottage street bakery for breakfast on memorial day. My friends all had the blueberry pancakes which all said they were fantastic make sure you get the small (2 huge pancakes & pay the extra for the blueberry topping), the wheat toast which is freshly baked there is very good the desserts made us all just wish the home fries were cooked longer & were crispier otherwise everything was excellent will definitely be back for more!”

• Cool fun atmosphere.
• Long wait for food and waiter reeked of smoke.

“The ventilation system needs updating, smells like old beer when you walk in. Food was tasty but took a while to get it and there were only 2-3 other tables of couples. Biggest complaint was waiter really smelled like smoke, must have had smoke break while waiting for food to be up. Kids had a blast loved the Frisbees to go...”

• Long lines.

“Excellent! Every year we vacation in Bar Harbor, and every day we're they we eat breakfast at Two Cats. Everything I've eaten there has been delicious. I'm not a pancake eater but I love their banana pecan pancakes. All organic/local ingredients when possible and you can taste the difference. If you're in the area, don't waste your time with the other breakfast joints because they're not worth the money. Two Cats is the only way to go in Bar Harbor for breakfast.”

• Food was basically good and a nice assortment.
• Crowded table area - stuffy - could use a better air conditioning system.

“Loud and crazy with lots of off the wall and on the wall entertainment. Always something to look at in old license tags, signs and televisions. Crowded at best with bar area front and center. Food is varied and good. Pizza is excellent - pasta dishes good - steamers good but over-cooked. Plan to stay a while.”

“Cottage Street Bakery is a great breakfast and lunch place. Food is delicious, I especially enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes! The atmosphere is really nice. Highly recommend this place. ”

• Idyllic, restful, charming.
• Can only go there if you're in Bar Harbor!

“Charming, lovely, homey, with delicious food, and lovely, personable wait staff - we went there EVERY DAY of our vacation to Bar Harbor - which was also our wedding trip - and on the morning of my wedding, the staff gave me arm loads of flowers from the restaurants own garden. LOVE LOVE the place and can't wait to go back!”

• Great Food
• hard to find and they don't seem to need to advertise. You got to ask where it is.

“Great food, Great Prices.

Blueberry Pancakes with their Blueberry syrup is the best I've ever had.

Portions are large, real townie kind of place that invite those from away to share their space. They seem to have room in the back for when things get busy. Not a diner but has all the trappings of a real good one.

Missed it the first time we stayed in Bar Harbor and this time we asked around till we had some locals fess up and tell us about Jordan's

If a place that has folks reading the morning paper and chatting with the help not your cup of tea don't go. But you'll miss a great meal.

Breakfast and lunch only.”
