“Very poor communication and mismanagement of their banquet facility - avoid, or at least force them to discuss their terms more clearly.”

“I have loved Knight's since before I could walk. I grew up in this restaurant and even though I moved away, the delicious smells still waver to my nose, and I always seem to come back. A trip to Ann Arbor can not be completed without a visit to Knights. With friendly staff, management, and the best bread I have ever tasted, Knights will always be an important asset to Ann Arbor.”

“I have heard about this restaurant for their burgers for 25+ years. We planned our order ahead of time. We wrote the order down. The cook yelled at us for doing this. She yelled at customers for many things. She threatened assault on co-workers. She had numerous outbursts during our 30 minute experience. Food quality was substandard. Onion rings, mixed vegetables were cold and burgers were warm. Worst AA dining experience in the 5 yrs of eating out weekly.”

“Went on a whim with friends last Saturday night. Some in our group were hesitant. It is a typical "dive" sports bar with strong drinks and good bar food (jalapeno poppers and fried mushrooms). We all had a great time, the waitress was running around like crazy- I think there were two- so it took awhile to get drinks. There is a game room with the classics, a nice little fireplace in the center, big screen TV's with various sports/news on. This isn't a "pretty" place but when we left we all agreed we would go back. A good week night "let's go get a drink" place.”

“Not good. We asked for non-smoking and were seated in a corner table closest to the bar so smoke was everywhere, not to mention our view was of a blank wall. The chicken, although a large portion, was so dry I couldn't eat it. Fish & chips meal was good. Stay away from chicken and beans. And the bugs! Perhaps we picked a bad night but the nats swarming our food was nauseating. During my entire meal, I swung my arm over my food swatting nats and flies.”

“I've lived in Ann Arbor for 30 years and only discovered this restaurant a few years back. I think it is one of the best kept secrets in town. The food is excellent and the servers, owners, musicians, and cooks are all charming and professional. This restaurant is well known as the best place to get real European pastries, but not everyone knows that the meals are excellent. I once ran into the food critic for Southern Living Magazine there. She was doing an article on restaurants in Ann Arbor and had been told by 3 independent sources from different parts of the country, that she should try Amadeus. It is one of the best restaurants and is overlooked or missed by most tourists.”

“Years ago I stopped going to Bella Ciao because the food then was inconsistent (or often mediocre). I started going there again this year and found it to be very good. The servers are very pleasant. It's a good place to have a conversation with someone (not too loud and you won't get interrupted). I eat out about 6-7 times a month and have added B.C. to my regular spots.”

“Don't be put off by the carpeted walls or old Vegas style interior. The service was exceptional, with a delightful young man who knew the menu and was knowledgeable about the specials and the "special" ways entrees could be prepared that were not listed on the menu. I recommend the blackened sea bass and a salad with balsamic vinaigrette and crumbled blue cheese. The food stayed warm the whole way through the eating process, over 20 minutes, as me and two other guests dined on the patio. What a great experience. I will go back again and again. Oh yes and the prices. Surprisingly the drinks were not outrageous. A Mandarin Cosmo for 5.50! The food was priced in competition with other Ann arbor restaurants. An app, two entrees and drinks with generous tip, under 70!”

“Ten minutes before closing, if a "regular" tries to enter your establishment, do you lock the door in their face, turn on your heel, point at the clock, and march away? The food, wine, and service are excellent, and the venue is charming. Unfortunately, the proprietress isn't. Arbitrary and unfriendly, you'll never be made to feel valued or welcome by this woman, no matter how often you go there or how much money you spend. The wait staff, on the other hand, is exceptional. (We had a flat tire in the parking lot once, and one of them even took time to assist us.) The food is creative and delicious, and the wine list is very good. Unfortunately, we're going to give lord fox a wide berth from now on, and recommend the same to all our clients and friends, unless we can figure out the evenings the proprietress won't be in the house.”

“It might be a townie bar with average food, but the people are nice, the drinks are strong (I mean really strong), and the prices are cheap. How can you beat that?”

“This restaurant was recommended to us by some native Ann Arbor residents. My husband and I took our 1-year old to have a nice dinner. We were seated upstairs because we requested the non-smoking section. It didn't help that the smoking section and the bar were right by the hostess station. So in order to go in and out of the restaurant, we had to walk through a cloud of smoke. The restaurant smelled old and musty. It was fairly packed and so we though it would definitely be worth it. We were sadly disappointed when we actually got our food. My husband ordered the NY strip and I ordered some fish. Both were mediocre dishes....very mediocre. I have had much better food at franchise restaurants! The only thing that was worth eating was the bread before the meal. It was very tasty. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but to us....it just was nothing special. Definitely not worth the high prices. The service was lame too. She was attentive, but it wasn't anything to rave about.”

“Best Chicago Style pizza from Michigan to Maui. I have been a faithful customer since I tried my first bite when they opened over 18 years ago. Anthony's quality makes it worth the price.”

“Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted warmly by the Korean wait staff. From their extensive menu, I ordered my favorite dishes, pa jun Korean scallion and seafood pancake and tofu ji gae spicy toffee and seafood stew. I also ordered a pot of green tea. The portions were huge, the prices were very reasonable and the food was perfectly prepared, flavorful and spicy, but not to the point of masking the natural flavors of the food. The tofu was velvety and the pancake was crispy and just slightly chewy. The meal also came with soup, salad and six Korean side dishes. This restaurant easily rivals some of the best Korean food I've had in majors cities like San Francisco and Washington D.C. What a gem.”
