“I've heard about Mike linnings for years, but never got around to going there until this summer. My mistake! I never should have waited so long. I thought it was wonderful. I liked the atmosphere, and the food is off the charts good. It's a great place for a couple, or a big group to go and hang out for a good meal and time with friends. Anyone who doesn't like it, in my opinion is probably just a stuck up, snooty person from snotty knob, wherever. Keep up the good work Mike Linnings, I WILL be back, time and time again.”

“I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never had a bad meal. It's not a place to impress your date. The food was very good. Definitely a must visit if you're in town.”

“Very expensive but this was the definition of fine dining. I've eaten here several times on business and was always impressed. Outstanding meals and anything they cook was done well and with artistic flair. Nice surroundings and a wait staff that was on.”

“Don't go to this restaurant if you need handicapped accessibility. My son is in a wheelchair, we were directed to this establishment we walked all the way there, and then found there were steps to go down to get into the restaurant. He waited outside while I went in, and stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me, so I could ask if we could get in or not. When someone finally did let me ask, I was directed (not shown)to go down the side of the building past one door to some other door. We started to do this, and could not find the side door, not could we get any further because the whole sidewalk was blocked with several boxes and garbage cans. Shame on this restaurant Thought we were in 2000's not the 1970's when we don't make accommodations for the handicapped!”

“This is the most disgusting place I can think of! Gaudy experience to get, homemade grits is beyond my comprehension. Give me a break! How hard is it to make a pan of grits? It's just water, salt, butter and water and you add the grits! This place is not worth the trouble of finding a parking spot.”

“What happened to the white table cloths? The menu has apparently been down sized to fit the nation's economy which is a good thing, but did the service and quality have to go with it?”

“Upon arriving at Rumors, my group and I were impressed with the decor; when we saw a sign stating there was karaoke going on, I found myself thinking, "Yeah, this is probably hip. "I was mistaken. My group and I walked in, were required to seat ourselves, and then waited 20+ minutes for service while our waiter enjoyed a leisurely meal. Mind you, there were about five other people in the (deserted) restaurant and we had come at a reasonable dinner hour. While we waited, we had ample time to peruse the menu which included many overpriced entries and appetizers. So we walked away.”

“I was totally disappointed with my visit. Do not let the outside appearance fool you. The food is terrible & extremely overpriced. They charged $8 for tuna salad as an appetizer. We were also charged extra for sides. Not to mention we had to seat ourselves and waited 45 min for our food (no crowd). The food is very generic and thrown together. There is nothing about this place that screams restaurant quality. The only positive aspects were the drink selections. Good place to get drink but please eat before you go”

“I took some friends from out of town and was very disappointed, the food wad lukewarm the hushpuppies were very hard and the fish and frogs legs were cold, was very upset because I have been eating here since the early sixties and I was bragging on it to my friend from California, will not come back anyway soon.”

“Great menu, great prices, friendly service. Delta serves Mexican and American cuisine as well as a variety of sandwiches (fried fish, chicken salad, club.) and they offer low crab options and healthier choices. The building is really wonderful. It looks like an old Italian restaurant on the inside, like something you'd find in New York. Not sure about it being family friendly. The lighting is dim and it's a quiet restaurant. I went during the week for a business lunch so there weren't any children, but they do serve hamburgers and fries so there would be menu items that kids would eat. Prices were very inexpensive compared to a lot of restaurants. I would recommend and will definitely go back.”

“This has got to be the best kept secret in the Louisville area. Awesome food and great value versus the other chain restaurants in the area. Food is not too hot and the beer is cold. I see the same friendly staff every time I visit. Real good people. I definitely recommend!”

“I have gone to Mazzonis since I was about 8 years old and am now 52. There is no place anywhere that I have found even close to Mazzonis for their oysters. I have been all over the country on business, and I only hope that they keep the restaurant open for many years to come.”

“I ate at Ditto's for the first time at lunch today. It was by far the best food Ive had in a long time. I could eat there every day! Our server was professional, fast and easy to deal with. The value was reasonable and the portions were adequate. I had the crab cakes and chicken breast meal and Im ready to have more!”

“My wife and I were visiting family in Louisville and we wanted to treat my brother in law to dinner. We tried the French Restaurant Le Relais. I was disappointed to find the food very average but decoratively arranged in such a way that it could be significantly overpriced. Also, the Manager was drinking throughout our dinner and arrogantly barked at staff. Louisville is full of lovely restaurants but Le Relais in our opinion is not one of them.”

“Elegant, and delightful aroma of tasty items from the appitizers to the main dish. The Crab cakes were out of this world. a wonderful place to have a romantic meal, or a special lunch, however a bit pricy if your just attending for a everyday meal.”

“Mike Linings is a great long time tradition here in Louisville. Take a nice drive out by the river for wonderfully generous portions of fish and other seafood, and enjoy their picnic atmosphere seating outdoors. It is mostly self serve. Order at a counter and go pick up your food when called. They do have waiters for special events. It is a little out of the way for In town Business People but certainly worth the drive if you want a delicious fish sandwich and onion rings. The outdoor setting also offers a playground for the kids in the family.”

“The service here is the worst imaginable. On ANY occasion one can enter, have a party of 3-4 and wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. After that after 10 minutes a server will still not have arrived to the table. The food is middle of the road at best. If a group has tons of time to waste, and simply wants to eat at one of the "trendy" spots to say they have eaten there, go for it. I doubt that your site will choose to post this factual review, but I hate to think of what out of towners could think of Louisville if this were the first restaurant they tried on a visit. This doesn't even approach the problem that they have a fraction of the required parking they should have.”

“This is definitely the place to go for breakfast when in Louisville. It is fun and family friendly with it's bright colors and ever-changing interior. No two visits to Lynn's are quite the same. The food is good and served in large portions which provide a good value for the money. Lynn's is a little off the beaten path on Baxter ave, but also not far from downtown. Lynn's is a local treasure.”

“The product taste good but the business is conducted poorly. They need to put more money into the business in order to become more successful.”

“We stopped here after a long day on the town and had some great pizza. Best attribute however was the singer who was performing from the far end of the bar on a tiny stage. He was the one that seemed to make the whole place work, and he kept us there a lot longer than we had wanted to be. I don't think he plays there a lot but if you ever see of Dave Cox from Nashville, TN then you should go check him out... The pizza's pretty good too- and the mixed drinks were excellent--- great bartender!”

“It is okay. Not real great, not updated at all. Some of the bars in there stink. They have a dirty smell to them. Like sweaty armpits. They need to remodel or paint. It is okay, that is all I can say.”

“The Bamboo House closed for a couple of months and just recently reopened. The new ownership has made many improvements to the inside of the restaurant including a new ceramic tile floor and welcome/pay counter when you enter. The food is the biggest change made with the new owners. The buffet is always fresh with many choices. Mala chicken with mushrooms is slightly (hot) spicy but, so DELICIOUS! The Garlic Pork is also a favorite of mine. The Pepper Steak is also consistently Haochi. (Delicious) My favorite however is the MooShoo Pork. Served on a plate with a separate plate of (rice paper style) wraps. Put the Moo Shoo on the rice paper, roll it up similar to a egg-roll (or enchilada) and thoroughly enjoy it. YUMMMMY! Their egg-roll and spring-rolls are hand-made and their steamed/fried dumplings are also hand-made and delicious The food is served on Styrofoam plates, but don't let that stop you from trying this place. IT IS WORTH IT! You can order off of the menu anytime or eat from the buffet during buffet hours. Even though the restaurant is not as fancy as some of the other Chinese restaurants around town, I found the food is superior to most of the other similar style Chinese restaurants. I have always been greeted with a friendly smile when I have dined their.”

“Excellent drinks and service from the bartenders. Bar food was good. Very casual place for darts and pool. Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, but comfortable.”
