“Great neighborhood bar, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Comfort food galore. Great food for the price. Not your cookie cutter chain restaurant. I went in, ordered carry out, and sat at the bar to unwind over a beer while I waited.”

“Surely service at the bar, decent pub fare, stale aged beer on tap, light-struck bottles in the cooler and marginal German food in the restaurant.”

“Very cold inside. Need heat by the door for the people beside it. Cold food. In need of a good grill manager that thinks about food quality and service instead of his cell phone and jukebox. Wait staff very friendly but under trained. Food cold from kitchen, not from setting too long.”

“At alfalfa you will always receive a smile and some good, home-made food. nothing comes pre-packaged. It has an eclectic menu that anyone can find something they like. brunch is a little crazy, you will probably have to wait to be seated, but the cinnamon swirl French toast is well worth the wait. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or carnivore, you will find something good!”

“We went to DeShay's last week for lunch. It was not great at all, or good either for that matter. I could normally have 2 of those with lunch, but stopped after one and ordered water. For lunch I had the French Onion soup, which was greasy, but pretty tasty. I split the crab cake and deep fried peppers with my husband. The crab cakes were disappointing in that they were bland and the fried peppers were very unappetizing because they were not very warm by the time I got them. Our server was friendly enough, but not outstanding. The decor is dark and kind of creepy. I did not care for the stuffed and mounted fox that was in the dining area, it looked dirty. For all of the fuss that is made about this place, I expected more.”

“Ate there tonight. The food selection was very poor! There was nothing cooking on the grill. The ham was perfectly done but cold even under the heat lamps. The corn casserole was frozen! All the fixing's for shrimp but no shrimp anywhere. The rice and fish was over cooked or had sat out way too long (the rice was crunchy). The turkey was extremely dry.”

“My husband and I another couple ate at Carrabbas for the first time about 3 weeks ago. We thought it was wonderful. The waiter we had discussed the entire menu with us, and even gave his recommendations. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We can't wait to eat there again. The only complaint I had was that the lighting was a little to dark. But, other than that we had a wonderful experience.”

“Why in the world did you close. Many patrons are very upset. Several locations on Nicholasville road are available. Please reopen!”

“Over all great experience. Building could use some work, but food and service great. Manager was friendly.”

“My wife and I eat here 3 times per month. We have always felt that this is one of the better chain restaurants in Lexington. We've never had a complaint or concern that wasn't handled in a professional and friendly manner. Which mainly dealt with misunderstandings of our orders? My bench mark of an excellent restaurant is Lexington's Merrick Inn.”

“Everything on the menu is delicious, the service is the best in the city, and the crowd is always an eclectic mix of people who are always having a good time. Lunch specials kick ass too.”

“The food tasted like shoe leather and the selections from the menu were very expensive for that type of restaurant. We used to eat quite often at this Tumbleweeds and it had been a couple of years since our last meal because we live on the other side of town but it will be a whole lot longer before I eat at the establishment again.”

“I don't know where Cindys "bad" came from but it is totally unfounded. This restaurant has a lot of innovative Mexican dishes, even for vegetarians - which are unusual. The atmosphere is bright and colorful, not a place for an intimate tęte-ŕ-tęte though. The dining room is usually very busy at lunchtime and equally as loud. You are immediately served with nice hot chips and a mild red salsa. This appetizer will be refreshed until you say "no mass." they have a variety of drinks including some Mexican flavored sodas. The menu is easy to read, lunch specials are a very good value, but the regular entrees are so reasonably priced, you don't have to limit yourself to the specials. Upon request, you can ask for their mole (mole-ay) sauce instead of the standard red sauce. It is a traditional Mexican sauce made with chocolate. It adds amazing flavor to nearly any dish. My favorite dish is the potato burrito with mole sauce. It is a burrito filled with cooked potato and cheese. Served with standard sides of yellow rice and refried beans. Even when Im at my most voracious, this plate is more than enough to fill me. The service is friendly enough. They work on volume so don't expect first name type service or chitchat. They serve quickly and politely. Most of the wait staff are Spanish speaking and are happy to familiarize you with the food and basic language if you desire. If you are looking for taco bell or chez pannisse, this isn't the place for you. The food is good, fast, authentic and inexpensive.”

“The restaurant is nostalgic more than anything. There are pictures on the wall that show it there when new circle was a dirt road. Friday nights are the time to go, I have seen the parking lot packed with old hot rods and motorcycles. The food is very good for the money but the service is a little lacking. In their defense, when the parking lot is packed, so is the restaurant. Where else can you go and see a couple of hundred nice, old cars and eat good food? I will continue to go and take the kids because this is the last of the original car hops, Sonic is good but it does not count. If your looking for a nostalgic night out, this is it.”

“You really need to get rid of the two geeky, wired guys doing your commercials. It ruins your image and has never been funny even from the first time you see them. You could do so much better. I have to mute every time the commercial comes on. Honestly, there is no one bit of humor or even the bowels to sit through it.”

“Myakka is wonderful! My husband and I love their sushi, tempura, teriyaki; we haven't had anything we didn't like. We like to sit on the sushi side which is calm, but they have an exciting hibachi grill on the other side. The servers are very nice and helpful for those who are just starting the sushi scene. We knew misact was great, but we realized how great when we recently tried hananoki Japanese restaurant also in Lexington, key (Iżll save you the details, just don't go there!).”

“Great subs. Really, really fast! They bake their own bread and it is delicious! I love it. I eat there at least 2 or 3 times a week.”

“The only place I've found where your food is delivered to your car on skates! Very retro, very cool! The service was better than most QSR restaurants, but still not perfect.”

“I can't believe that I never have been to this restaurant until now! The atmosphere is perfect on a nice summer night. The music plays softly, unlike many places where you have to strain to hear. The patio provides the perfect place for quite conversation or a gathering of friends. The age of the crowd varies from 20's to older couples. The food was out of this world. I highly recommend The Filets. The wait staff is a good judge of their customer, knowing if they need a lot of attention or prefer to be mostly left alone. I enjoyed a nearly three hour meal filled with excellent conversation and even better wine, but others were in and out within a hour. We never once felt rushed. I can't wait to go back. ”

“Very nice food. Great location, and super dark wood clubby place. I dug it. Steak was not fabulous, but the rest of the experience was. ”
