• Great food.
• Crowded at times.

“This is a great place to eat. Dinner is better than lunch and it starts at 4:00 in the afternoon. They usually have ribs, fish, steak and chicken. It is great!”

• The Saturday buffet.
• I wish it was buffet style all the time.

“I have to say the only time I ever eat at the Green Bamboo is on Saturdays as they have a noon buffet. I think it is one of the best in the area, with a nice variety and the food is always hot. Only one time we ate off the menu and to be honest I can't even remember what it was so not that impressing. But I do recommend the buffet; it is a good value and good food.”

• A Chinese restaurant where there are very few in the area.
• Food was horrible.

“We thought this place had a good atmosphere when we were seated to our table, the other guests were enjoying their time there. Our shared PuPu Platter entree arrived. It was just awful - the skewered beef was really tough, the won tons were awful, our mouths were filled with grease as we bit into the sesame toast and the spring rolls were over cooked and stuffed with what tasted like sage & onion stuffing. My main course (sweet & sour pork, chicken & prawn & boiled rice) was boring with tough meat and hardly visible prawns and the s&s sauce was quite disgusting. My husband's main course (moo shu beef with pancakes) was fairly satisfactory but over salted. Total $45 incl a couple of drinks. Service was mediocre, waitress was lacking in attention as we had to ask for most things twice. We decided we'd rather be at MacDonald's. We certainly won't be visiting again. Hope this helps: steer clear!!!”

• It's the best value we've found especially with quality being #1.
• Honestly can't think of one.

“Love this place! Can't wait to go there when in town. Very relaxing and cozy, you can actually have a conversation while enjoying a great meal. We were there recently and they were celebrating their 29 the anniversary that's really says something for an independent restaurant. ”

• Food is great.
• Seating is limited.

“Step back in time to real country food liked your Mama used to make. Back Home is a local secret in Elizabeth town that the locals swear by and I can see why. Country crafts are offered for sale galore plus a home cooked meal. We have enjoyed our experience every trip. We are treated like part of the family and that's how everyone is treated here. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is pure down home country friendliness. You can't go wrong here.”

• Food is good.
• Catering costs are somewhat high.

“Hardin County Food Service is a catering service through the Hardin County Schools. Seems to stay busy with catering jobs. Costs of catering is a little bit high but the food is almost always good. I don't know for sure why this catering service would be listed as a restaurant.”

• Service can sometimes be slow.

“This is an upscale oriental restaurant. The food is great, the service is sometimes slower than I would like but the people are friendly and willing to serve. Restaurant has a quiet atmosphere - has a noon time buffet but not in the evenings.”

• Classy restaurant.
• Hmmm . . . can't think of anything negative.

“The Stone Hearth Restaurant in Elizabeth town is one of those traditional kind of restaurants from the past. No fast food joint here. Apparently the restaurant has been in Elizabeth town on the same location for many years. The owners make the rounds of the tables to chat with guests. The hostess actually listens before seating you. The waitresses seem to be very knowledgeable of the are and can share information with you about how to get to local attractions. The restaurant has atmosphere and the food is superb. This is a classy restaurant that caters to folks just stopping by off of I-65 and to folks there to celebrate special events - two party rooms are available. It's not unusual to see folks dressed to the nines sitting next to folks in blue jeans and shorts. A great place!”

• Lots of good food for a very reasonable price; great service; very clean

“My family and I have eaten here on four occasions and have always gotten great service. You get lots of food at a resonable price. Lots of variety for even the pickiest of eaters. Food arrives hot and quickly. Restuarant is always very clean.”
