“The most fabulous po-boy I have ever had in my life! I have lived in Georgia for the past 12 years and try to make it a point to get a po-boy when I'm back in my home state. However, in all those years, I have never had such an incredibly tasty sandwich at such an incredibly reasonable price. The store owner was friendly and made sure we felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the mood for the perfect po-boy!”

• Sometimes very crowded.

“Very good food with generous portions. Every time my travel takes me through Sport. I always stop at Strawn's for a very hardy breakfast. One day I will be able to finish the whole meal. Also very nice and friendly people who work there.”

• You can get better BBQ at McDonalds.

“I had heard a lot about this place, and was looking forward to having some good BBQ. I ordered the combination plate. The ribs that came were very small and had very little meat. The meat that was there was very tough. The brisket was so dry I had to smother it with sauce to be able to eat it. The food was very over priced for what I got. The salad was okay. The potatoes au gratin were also okay. I ordered black berry cobble for desert, heated with vanilla ice cream, and that too was okay. Service? It took forever to get my food. The menu offers cold bottles of coke, so I ordered one. The waitress came back and told me that none were available! The atmosphere is of the chain style, and not of the type of truly classic restaurant that's been around for decades. It was too clean to neat. Lacking in real BBQ atmosphere. Don't waste your time or your money here.”

“This is the best Chinese place I've ever been to. The food is wonderful and the wait staff is always great. The food is delicious if just a little over priced. I wouldn't go anywhere else for quality Chinese cuisine.”

• 1600 miles from home is too far.

“I get takeout from the Southern Classic in Mansfield, LA each time I'm in town. The staff is very friendly, and the Chicken is excellent. I like it a bit spicy and crispy, and theirs is the best I've had. I wish there us outlets on the West Coast! Introduce some diet conscious side, say healthy roll or something, and open Franchises on the West Coast and mop up! Don't mess with the Chicken recipe!”

• The atmosphere is not romantic, but who eats atmosphere?

“Considering all of the Chinese restaurants that I have frequented in Shreveport over the past twenty years, Imperial Cathay ranks among the best. In addition, and I haven't eaten there recently, Ming Garden is always a dining consideration. There is no way that Chinese take-out comes close to the food served at Imperial Cathay. Give the restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed.”

• Soup of the day is wonderful, but runs out quickly
• Overpriced, and for all the beauty, no peace as romantic couples are invariably next to families with their children.

“Imperial Cathay has undergone many changes in the past 4 years. Some it has chosen to do, others it has not. Before they started remodeling and focused on food and service, I would have given them a 10 and great value for food prices, atmosphere - both romantic and family, and food quality. Now they are remodeling again for some strange and unknown reason. The food is slightly better than cheap take out, with the notable exception of the soup of the day which they serve at lunch. I read the other reviews and did not see how food quality got that high, unless they were comparing it to fast food.”

• Drive through always seems empty.
• Parking lot is always full of people waiting for food from ordering at drive through!

“Every time my family visits this burger king through the drive through, we are asked to pull around to the side and they will bring us our food even when there is no one else in line. Once was told to move past the 2nd window and back up to reset a timer, and thirdly, we have been asked to sit at the 1st window after paying until they motion us forward. I am sure their time for delivering food from the drive through may look good, but the wait at first window, around building, and pulling forward and backing up, all to reset their service timer is not worth the wait or food they provide.”

“the service was slow. our food sat in the window till it was cold enough for us to send it back for warming. other customers did the same around us. the toast was cold enough when it was buttered that it didn't melt any. did not eat some food after because it was too cold. had to ask for silverware and had to remind our waitress to bring it again. we paid 20 dollars plus tip for 2 breakfast that was very unsatisfactory.”

“I haven't had a muffy since I moved out of Shreveport in '87. And I've missed them so much. Then I found out you have a website. I was in heaven! I'll never have to do without your wonderful olive relish again. Which, after all, makes this muffy what it is. So Kudos and Bravo for your website.”
