“The waitresses not only manage to get the orders wrong. (and when it was pointed out, they never came back with the correct orders) but be very careful that they don't sneak an 18% gratuity onto the bill. Read the bill very carefully because it is easy to miss. The menu says there will be an 18% gratuity for 5 or more people. We only had 3 at our table.”

“I got a complete polishing at Anitas last week. Great Tex Mex food, David Cooley Cigars, and Bill Cefaratti Soup. I was trying to get some Nosh Concepcion Soup, but this place did not have it.”

“This restaurant is one of the most family friendly that I have ever been to. I had the Irene Copeland special, pork chops a La Rich Sabatelli, excellent; also they had this new beer out called Rick Schlauch Lager and it was especially good, with some new chips called Rick Schlauch Corn Chips, a cross between potato chips and corn chips; they were excellent because they come heated and with melted cheese sauce. Some singer showed up called The Famous JJ, he was very good; the magician the Criminal, David Cooley came in from the eastern US and showed everyone some pick pocket comedy moves, telling jokes the whole time.”

“The Steak Knife is like going home again, you walk in to find faces you know and when you taste the food it's like bringing you home again. Best in town and local through and through has been for over 30 years now that's New Orleans at it's best. Hats off th the Roth's for opening their home again for all of us to enjoy.”

“The corn chips were excellent, however my girl said this place should be called Acne Oyster and Seafood House because she broke out in hives after eating shrimp. Her fault, the shrimp was excellent.”

“It was a little pricey but well worth it and service was awesome even though the place was extremely busy. Waiting time on additional drinks wasn't as long as most when busy. Food was awesome. Our server was prompt, courteous, very busy and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that visits the area. Not to mention I showed up in blue jean shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes and a Margarita Ville baseball cap. figured I'd get turned around as the crowd was dressed casual but not like me. But they welcomed me in as-is which was very cool. Loved the place!”

“The serving staff needs lessons in hospitality. The bacon wrapped oysters and the seafood gumbo were satisfactory. The Speckled Trout Clemenceau was old, tasting and smelling extremely fishy. The Duck Breast A L'Orange and the sweet potato puree tasted as if being prepared days ahead and reheated. The bread pudding lacked the soft texture, even the whiskey sauce could not save it.”

“This is the best Chinese I've had while living in New Orleans for 6 years. Absolutely fabulous for the price and the service is quick and friendly. Super close to the theater as well so make it a movie and Chinese night and you're set! I highly recommend this place! Also great for family, business or just a casual date.”

“We were unable to book a reservation at K-Puals, and a friend recommended this slightly more casual cajun restaurant. The menu is fixed except for the entree, for which you may choose amongst 4 choices based on the day's fresh, available seafood and produce. The restaurant was understaffed the night we went, and utilizes some form of team service. The three gentlemen (including buzzer) trying to handle an entirely full dining room was a little less than accommodating. Drink orders were forgotten after I asked about wine selections, and it took a while to get refills. Overall though, most of the dishes were properly described, seasoned, and beautifully presented. The wine list is a bit simplistic, offering a dozen cabernets but no malbec, no rioja, no tempranillo, etc. In summation, the food was great, the atmosphere comfortable (although the service staff could lose the tuxedo shirts and bowties without offending anyone), and the prices phenomenal, at least by New Jersey standards. Short staffed and one dish was slightly bland are the only complaints.”

“MUCH Improved! The food is a lot better and the atmosphere is better then it was a year ago. There seems to be new ownership and they have managed to keep the neighborhood feel while classing up the place quite a bit. Get the lasagna (the owners recipe) if there is any left (they sell out every day), or a spinach and artichoke lavash roll and ask to add roasted chicken. The sampler appetizer plate is a must. Wine list is quite good as well. They also do to go orders.”

“The Pearl has been here a long time, seems to have a solid local following, and is definitely not aimed at tourists or those looking for a place to be seen. Remodeled a few years ago to be a little less openly proletarian, it is now spacious modern with a free form something on the ceiling and a less conspicuous bar, but still basically formica tables and plastic covered chairs, a few local beers along with a lot of lights, and a relatively short menu of local dishes all of which are very well prepared. Red beans and rice is particularly good. Fried oysters are fine; pecan pie superior. Prices are reasonable. Although still called an oyster bar, they no longer serve raw oysters.”

“Presentation of dishes is beautiful, creative and appetizing. Excellent mix of spices and seasonings that enhance the food rather than mask it. The Seafood Martini is a great example of this. The menu is a well thought out offering of Asian cuisine that complements each style; one can order Japanese, Chinese and Thai all in the same meal and not feel as if the enters fight each other. This is a San Francisco or New York worthy restaurant that is not the typical NOLA establishment; there's nothing blackened, fried or cajun about Hoshun. The servers are knowledgeable and very service oriented.”

“You've never eaten a burger, till you've eaten one here! Not much more than a hole in the wall, but the atmosphere makes up for it. We went to the comedy club upstairs (under $10 per person and we had a blast!) for our anniversary and decided to eat there. Huge burgers with a huge side baked potato. All I can say about the burgers are addictive and their size of your face, with crazy combinations youve never heard of, but once you has tried, OH! You have to leave the kids home guys due to poker machines not being enclosed; you must be 21 to get in. If your in the area make sure you stop by it's definitely worth it!”

“Good food, awful customer service. I waited for half an hour for a simple omelets and hash browns, they did not come. The lady in charge did not even offer an apology. I called later to complain, she would not budge. In short, good food, but if you want good service, steer clear of Riccobono.”

“A friend made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner at Broussard's, New Orleans for us. 1 member of our party is disabled & uses a walker. We were led to the back of the restaurant which was a long walk for the disabled. Menus were brought & then we didn't see a server for a long time. Finally we were able to make our drink orders. They took an incredibly long time to arrive. When they did we gave 1 of our many servers our dinner orders. 2 of us ordered the Reveillon which is a 4 course New Orleans Christmas eve meal. The 1st item of food brought to us was my 1st course of the reveillon. My partner who also ordered the reveillon received nothing. I ate my 1st course. The other people at our table had yet to see food. Next my 2nd course salad arrived. Still my partner had not seen his 1st course nor had anyone else seen any food. My partner finally received his 2nd course salad before his 1st course! He took 1 bite of his salad & it was promptly removed from him! We asked for it back & after about 10 minutes he received another brand new salad. I finished my salad. They took my plate away and brought my 1st course again! I told the waiter I had already eaten this & he removed it. I ordered a tea which never arrived. We finished our meal & were leaving. My friend who had made the reservation was telling owner about our poor dining experience & how he was embarrassed to have made the reservation. He mentioned that he had to park far away & he had a disabled person with him who had a very difficult time walking & that seating us at the back of the restaurant was also not great for our disabled friend. There was a feeling felt by us all that this man could hit any of us at anytime. My friend being yelled at walked away & told us he was going to get the car & pick up our disabled friend. It was a cold night & we were waiting inside afraid that might further attack us. He walked up to us & said Can you believe that guy? Who do they think they are? Unreal. I'm not the manager I'm the 3rd generation owner! Can you believe that guy? To which my father responded. He is a friend of ours which caused to walk away. We left shocked & frightened. This ruined Christmas Eve. I've worked in 2 restaurants & am shocked that this was how we were treated by the owner!”

“What an excellent experience, from the front door to dessert. You have to experience Nola's. I am very picky about the restaurants I dine in. You won't be disappointed. It is worth every penny. The wait staff is on point. I just can't figure out how he can retain a staff that is that talented and seems to enjoy what they do! My party of six ordered different things so that we could sample more dishes. We loved them all! Hats off to you Emeril!”

“The restaurant has been totally redone and is back to its previous glory only more so. Moderately expensive and worth every penny. Although they lost most of their wine cellar, they are building it up again and tremendous cost to them, but you can find many good wines by the glass.”

“I ate at 201 the year before my friend and I had the absolute best meal I had ever had in my life. I cannot remember what I had but it was absolutely well I'll just say delicious was not a good enough work to describe it. I am a New Orleans native and didn't know of 201 until that trip but I'm very happy to know it's still open and encourage others to give it a try. It's a little expensive but when you're on vacation expense can be justified. The wait staff was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect. I love 201 and wish for 201s owners and staff a very long and prosperous stint in New Orleans.”

“I have been twice - two years ago for lunch and in June 07 for breakfast. I wasn't too impressed on my first visit; I had a ham and asparagus crepe which had cold, mushy canned asparagus. It was a disappointment. My recent breakfast was even worse. I had a basic breakfast of scramble eggs, bacon, hash browns & toast. My partner had a seafood omelet. First off, it took 10 minutes to be seated at an unset table in a restaurant full of empty tables, another 10 minutes for the server to approach us. We placed our order. After about 15 minutes the server stopped by to ask how we were doing and it was then that she noticed the table had not been set. 40 minutes after we placed our order, breakfast arrived. I got what was obviously an omelet chopped up to look like scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon and grease soaked burnt beyond recognition hash browns - honestly a knife would not cut through them. Top this off with the fact that it all arrived stone cold!! The eggs werent even warm. My partner did not fare much better - the seafood omelet arrived cold also and with the seafood so overcooked that whatever it was from the sea was not able to be recognized. I think our server knew breakfast was a fiasco because she promptly disappeared. We finally caught her eye and asked for the check - She did not ask if everything was OK. We paid $30 for an inedible breakfast, left the food and went to the Ramada on Bourbon & Toulouse for the $11.50 all you can eat breakfast buffet - a great bargain! Everything was well prepared (biscuits & gravy very good) and served hot!!!! - Never again for Petunia's - too many other options”

“Every time I go to New Orleans I visit Anita's. They had a very good creole cook. She was so friendly, and seem to love every one and treated them so well. I remember one night the cook's mother gave her a surprise birthday party and she shared cake with everyone, and paid for coffee for all the folks who wanted it.”

“Great restaurant with possibly the best burger in town. I place the possibly on there only because I haven't had a burger at every place in town and thought the other place that serves a baked potato with your burger had the best until I ate at GB's. On top of the rib eye is excellent and the appetizers are great too. The bar serves great drinks and the atmosphere is casual and inviting. The place seems to be teaming with regulars as it appeared almost everyone knew each other, with that kind of repeat business it wasn't surprising that the food and service were as good as they are. ”

“Wow! All I can say is could you have any more tequila's available to drink? They have over 50 different types of tequila, and if you think you knew what tequila tasted like try the Paradiso (expensive) and taste the difference between real quality stuff and the cheap, we are all used to (i.e. Cuervo). The burgers! The burgers here are the best and there are several varieties. My favorite of all time is the peanut butter bacon burger. Think of Thai food, or satay and you dip the meat in a peanut sauce. Now think of it on a burger with bacon, trust me, everybody says the same thing initially. I had friends meet us there last time about a year ago and they are still talking about how they are addicted. Trust me you got to go to this place. Oh, and if he is selling crawfish, prepare to have the best you have ever tasted and hot! They deliver food 24*7 in the quarter, and once you have tasted their fresh food and burgers you will get the call of hunger sometime after midnight.. Can not wait to go back!”

“Mona Lisa's is an excellent restaurant if you want to experience local charm at it's best. Don't expect a 5 star restaurant because you won't get it, but do expect, delicious food, great ambiance, and lots of funny art work depicting the Mona Lisa at her best! Get the house salad with homemade feta dressing, the lasagna, and a nice glass of Rancho Zabacho Red Zinfandel. All menu items are delicious! A must try if your on Royal Street in the French Quarter. Every trip we make to New Orleans includes Mona Lisa's!”

“From the moment we sat at the bar waiting to be seated at our table for dinner we felt welcome. Loved the atmosphere and had great drinks at the bar. We were seated in the courtyard and were greeted immediately by our wait staff. Both of them were attentive and pleasant. Very friendly and fun without being inappropriately personal" given that the restaurant is more upscale than a place like Pat O'Brien's (also a great place - just a totally different vibe). We will go back to the Court of Two Sisters on our next trip to New Orleans and will certainly suggest that our friends and family do the same. "”

“This place is so cool, kinda funky in an artistic New Orleans way. A must goto place if you are looking for great jazz in a cozy, informal and spontaneous setting. We heard that Friday nights are the best. It is very small and crowed but the music was fabulous! We heard the New Orleans Jazz Vipors play when we were there. There were also several other local musicians, each with their own style, stopping in and joining the stage. Lively crowds, good mix of locals and tourists, cheering, dancing, drinking, etc. We stayed for hours, completely content that this was the place to deliver the New Orleans experience we were looking for.”
