Hikari Japanese Steak House
Jan 31, 2009 by Ginger from Overland Park, KS

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[9] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • Can be a fun and entertaining family outing or a romantic meal for a couple.
  • I honestly don't think I have a negative.

“We have been to a few Japanese steak houses and this one tops them. The chefs that work the hibachi grills are funny and make everyone at the table feel like a family, even if you have never met anyone at the table. It's a great environment and my kids love it when they make the grill go up in huge flames. The service is fantastic. Every time we go our glasses rarely get empty before there's a brand new one sitting next to it ready for drinking. It can be pricey, but as far as Japanese steak houses go it's fair. The only reason I don't think it's good for business travelers is that it can take a fair amount of time to get through the meal. Everything is made fresh right in front of you and it's always cooked perfectly. If you have a little bit of time I highly suggest you make a stop here. We always recommend it to friends and family.”

India Palace
Dec 5, 2007 by Mike from Lenexa

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Staff is courteous, helpful and attentive. The food is the best!
  • Simple decor, no frills.

“India palace in Overland Park is by far, the best Indian cuisine in Kansas or Missouri. Very seldom crowded for dinner, this is a great place for a quiet meal or a romantic date, if your idea of romance smells the delicious odors of traditional Indian cooking (which is definitely included in my definition). If you're looking for a good lunch spot, arrive a little early 11:30-11:45, this place packs up pretty quick during the lunch rush. The staff is as friendly as it gets and the food can't be beat. So, unless you have an Indian grandmother who loves to cook for you, try the palace! You will not be let down.”

Il Trullo
Aug 17, 2007 by Sherry from Kearney

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Awesome, spot-on, tremendous, presentation, seasoning could not have been better.
  • So far from the kick metro area

“Exquisite, phenomenal, it is truly an amazing experience. The waiters, chef, owner were all so very kind, checking on you and making you feel at home. This is the best authentic Italian dining experience I have had in acme or anywhere in the metro area. I would even say that it rivals restaurants in Italy and new Yorks little Italy for authenticity and experience. No where have I dined that the experience made you unaware that you were in a restaurant but made you feel as though you were at home with family enjoying the best of times. The taste buds are still salivating a week after the dining experience as the chef cleverly creates the best tasting menu (whether for large or small appetite) building from one course to the next and enhancing each course to its fullest potential yet complimenting the other course served or about to be served. When you leave, you leave with the best feeling of being made to feel important and special, no matter whom you are, you are treated like family.”

Il Trullo
Mar 14, 2007 by C

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[10] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Excellent food, unique Italian menu.
  • Service is occasionally under par.

“I've had dinner twice and lunch once at ill trollop. The food was always excellent and the atmosphere very "New York"; however, on one occasion, the service was not up to standards, due to the attitude of our server. Our treatment may have been due to the fact that we had ordered only a couple of appetizers, which meant he would not get a hefty tip. This was not typical of previous servers.”
