• If you would like to see a 40 year old in pig tail.
• Pizza and bread were frozen.

“Impossible to eat the pan pizza with out silverware. Mexicans working at an authentic pizza place they said dressing was home made well I can tell you that it comes from a container. If you have a party on the family side how you sit you look at the bathrooms.”

• We got a very nice deal in their specials for the evening.
• There were too many good choices in their menu. It was hard to decide what to order.

“Dining at Strongbow Inn is ALWAYS a pleasure. Although we may only visit a few times a year, the service, food, and facilities are always top shelf. However, the restaurant strives to make all visitors comfortable - no matter who they are or what they are wearing! Everyone who arrives is treated as an old friend. What an accomplishment to consistently achieve stress free wonderful dining for so many years.”

• A good drinking atmosphere.
• The food is on par with Taco Bell.

“If you truly want authentic Mexican food please don't come here. El Amigo in Valpo is the best authentic Mexican food in Valparaiso hands down. It's also about the same price or possible cheaper.”

• Turkey pot pie dressing.
• Cost.

“If you are a turkey lover you will love this place. It has been around for generations. I love the turkey pot pie and a slice of pecan pie. It is probably among the most expensive restaurants in Valpo.”

• The waitress, although spread too thin, was pleasant.
• We ordered deep dish. It came as a thin crust with a tall edge!

“On the Sunday we visited Tony's, they were very busy with parties, etc. We expected to wait for our food, especially since we ordered deep dish. We were given a pitcher of pop, with no free refills. When we got our 2 pizzas 55 minutes later. I found the appearance of them very disappointing. They were a greasy mess, the cheese was so hot, it shifted from one side to the other as it was placed on the table, and the outer crust was burnt. They were cut in a strange pattern, and it was impossible to keep any of the toppings in place as we served ourselves. The biggest disappointment was the thinnest crust I have ever had in a pizza, with a tall burnt edge. It was no thicker than a pie crust and actually had about the same taste and texture. Sadly, the dough at Pizza Hut, and Little Caesers turns out better. In the future we will not revisit Tony's. To all of you travelers wishing to try Tony's on for size, remember to bring cash, they do not accept anything else.”

• Neighborhood style bar caters to friendly people!
• Late night it's so busy, its hard to hear yourself.

“Best kept secret in town, sandwiches are full and large, served by the best servers in town, and has the coldest beer in town! Food and drink are values, not cheap like the other two bars in town. Place is clean and bathrooms are very clean, unlike two other bars in town! I recommend it highly, go often, and dont let it be a secret anymore!”

• Food, service, and atmosphere.
• Parking lot was full with no reserved parking for my guests.

“My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at Strongbow and it was wonderful. We had about 120 people and we had the turkey buffet. As usual the turkey was excellent and the sides and salads were delicious. We also had passed champagne and hors d' voures which came out quickly to all of our guests. The wedding cake was like none I have ever tasted; with chocolate French silk between white cakes. Excellent. We had a really fun bartender for the bar and our guests stayed until management finally told us we had to leave (at 1:00 AM). Overall we had a wonderful time and will be going back again soon.”

“My husband had a dinner party for work here. The food was mediocre and expensive. The wait staff was of a very poor quality and extremely rude. When one of our coworkers asked to have her dessert boxed up to take home to her children rather than eat it there, the waitress told her no. Can you believe it? The desserts are pretty good overall. The cakes are excellent. They are probably the only things I would recommend buying from the place.”

• I have not had a good experience there.
• There food is undercooked and there service is poor.

“My friend and I love Arby's and stopped at the Valparaiso Location once a week for 6 weeks. Mostly late at night. 5 out of 6 times, the order was wrong. Went back once, told them to fix it. Drove away and it was still wrong. 6 out of 6 times my friend ordered there potatoes cakes. Freshly Cooked. Every time they were cold and undercooked in the center. They would remake them and the outside would be great but don't get to the middle. They never once refunded our money and we had to sit and wait and still get incorrect or undone replacement orders. We will no longer go to that location and we plan to report them to the local health department for undercooked food. Management at that store can never tell you how to contact there corporate office and they always act like you are bothering them when you want an order corrected.”

• Their turkey and desserts are amazing.
• I find it best to eat in the bar.

“My girlfriend and I dine at Strong bow at least monthly. The quality of the menu is unequaled in Valparaiso. I could not more highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who finds himself in the Valparaiso area.”

• The milky dessert, cake or flan, was fabulous.
• A little pricy.

“The food was authentic and fabulous, it was relaxing and beautifully done. There was a milk custard or cake that was divine- the paella was super, a bit pricy but worth the thorough tastes that were served. Tapas is fun and adds to the conversation. The only authentic Spanish cuisine near Chicago or even in Indiana.”
