• Horrible service. Rude, mean owners/workers. Long waits for waitress.

• Delicious sushi.
• Slow service.

“Matuba is one of the best sushi restaurants in the South Bend/Mishawaka area. It is very reasonably priced, even for lunch with its "lunch box" menu. In addition to sushi, it has various other Japanese menu items. The only real drawback of Matuba is the slow service during busy times. If you go for dinner and the restaurant is half full, expect to wait 30-45 minutes for your meal. A better option is to call your order ahead of time.”

“Great atmosphere, great food, generous portions. This restaurant is family ran and it shows because the staff takes time to take care of you unlike the chain restaurants in town. Barb (the owner) and her daughters do a WONDERFUL job. This place is a great South Bend South Side Secret!!! You got to check this place out!”
