“The Iowa chop wrapped in bacon was a 10! The portions were large, the prices were very fair, and the service was outstanding. I look forward to my next trip through Monticello so I can eat at Sublette's!”

“I have eaten there several times. Love their tenderloins, known for the biggest around. Also, love the catfish. The staff has always been friendly and polite. The prices could be considered to be a little high, but for the service and the food, you get your money's worth. If you want to eat in a little nicer place then a fast food chain and be able to enjoy your meal in your own time, this is the place to go.”

“Riverside is an adult restaurant. You must be 18 years of age to eat there, which makes this restaurant the perfect place to dine. As of January 07, it has become non-smoking. They have delicious steaks, chops and fish. It's a great place to get smelt.”

“Only eaten there once. Have heard people rave about the barbeque ribs. We found them to be tough, barely chewable, not cooked long enough. Barbeque chicken was not so great either. Fried appetizer was cold and greasy. Very disappointing based on what we heard other say. Perhaps we just a hit a bad night. Service was good. Have heard the family running it has excellent reputation. Would try it again to give it a second chance. But Damons, Applebees, and TGIF have much better ribs. .”

“I have eaten there probably half a dozen times. Take out from their old location, and eat in for lunch and dinner. The food absolutely is horrible. Deep fried foods are always greasy. Turn the temps up on the fryer! Rheostats can go to 350; it doesn't cost that much more to use hot enough oil. The BBQ has never been impressive, not the quality, tenderness or flavor. I mean I realize that for the middle of nowhere Indiana it must seem spectacular to the locals, but you dont have to travel to Memphis or Kansas city for better. Try King Gyros in Valpo. Try Edgewater in Culver. Try south 40 in Winamac; they arent even BBQ places, and they would smoke sublets in ribs alone. Have a nice day, I vehemently protest anyone that is my friend from going to sublets. Thanks (and no I dont own or am affiliated with any of their competition, Im a local newspaper, restaurant critic).”

“Moes was my single best restaurant/drinking experience I've ever had! Absolutely amazing service! I will return yearly.”

“A drive in restaurant with no indoor seating or public restrooms. There are picnic tables available for those who prefer to eat outdoors. If you are watching your cholesterol or have gallbladder problems, this place isn't for you. However, if you enjoy good old fashioned chili dogs and frosty cold mugs of root beer, it's heaven. The food is hot and good. Service can be slow, especially when it's ultra busy, but the car hops do a good job, overall. You can feed a family of 4 very well for less than $20.”

“Excellent Ribs where the meat falls off the bone. Nice quiet atmosphere in the bar area. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like barbecue although they have a very full menu with other great food.”
