• Awesome food.
• They put blue cheese in all their salads.

“I am a frequent business traveler to the area. I stay at the Candlewood and appreciate that The Library provides delivery to me there. Every meal I have gotten has tasted awesome. I only had problems with the order being incomplete one time, otherwise they were right on, quick and professional.”

• Food, atmosphere, and service.
• No complaints.

“Not a place for children. Can be a bit dead and quiet during the week which is nice, Saturday night trivia is funny. Don't go in this bar if you're afraid of drinking, or smoking, a church would be better for you! I love this place! I can't rave enough about the food, the service, the atmosphere, and all the patrons. Never any trouble, all the waitresses are friendly. The owner can be a bit stand offish until she gets to know you, but that's typical. We spend a good amount in this bar so we defiantly love it.”

“If your very hungry, and love Italian, you should check this place out. Huge portions of food that's meant to be shared. Very interesting atmosphere. Even the restrooms are worth checking out.”

• Probably not the best for younger children.

“I think the only reason this place is in business is tradition and location. There aren't many options for sit down restaurants in the immediate area and there is a large outdoor area that's nice for after work drinks.”

• I love their food! Soups are fab! Steaks, prime rib, excellent!
• Could be open later.

“Exceptional value! In this day and age every restaurant is cutting back on their food portions. You can still get a big old fashioned juicy steak here! The Prime rib is absolutely huge and delicious! Their shrimp cocktail is the best! Did I mention the Surf and Turf Lobster tail and the Homemade soups and salad dressing? Casual dress and atmosphere. Plenty of free parking! 4 miles South of Downtown on Meridian Street, on the City's Southside. They are even open for lunch.”

• Greatest tasting food I have ever had.
• When busy, the restaurant is a bit small, but nicely appointed.

“I have traveled extensively for my job and in each new city or town I try a new Sushi restaurant. I am so glad that Lchiban is my hometown. The Sushi chef is truly a talent. He experiments with flavors and is always right on. The presentation is nothing short of edible art. Truly a dining experience with very delicious food. We really appreciate having this restaurant in our community on the south side of Indianapolis.”

• Karaoke is a hoot.
• I'm a non smoker so that's a turn off but hey it's a bar.

“Neighborhood sports pub atmosphere so you can't mind the smoke but their breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches are the best Ive had. They aren't "monster like" in size like many places brag about but they are oversized for the bun but the quality of the pork is excellent! They are lean and very tasty (Im hooked can you tell.).”

• Extensive selection and presentations of the sushi dishes.
• Small restaurant usually crowded on weekends; slow service when crowded.

“A great find! A small strip mall restaurant that has great food and service. The menu is extensive, with more types of sushi/sushimi/etc. Than Ive seen before. The presentation of the sushi dishes is exceptional. My wife (who usually doesn't like sushi) and I go several times a month, even with the long drive.”

“I just love this place; I have been eating it since I was a small child. No other place can compare. When we don't feel like cooking we call them up. It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth it. It's in my area too.”

• The food is wonderful.

“The food is excellent. The chefs always do a great job. Our most recent trip, however, may just have been our last, mostly by fault of the manager/owner. The waitress taking care of our drinks wasn't at all attentive, but that isn't something to warrant never returning. The real hassles came when it was time for us all (a party of 5 couples) to pay our checks. Manager/owner lady brought them out to us roughly 15 minutes after we'd all finished our meals, then returned with credit cards and change about 15 minutes after that. We all had coupons from the newspaper, but they didn't take the coupons out of 2 of the bills (one of them was mine). She disappeared to "fix it," and after not returning for another 10 minutes, since we did actually have the correct change, we left. Lucky for them and their poor service that the tip was added in for our large party.”

• Good margaritas.
• Terrible service.

“Place was a real disappointment! One hour after placing our order the waitress returned to announce that the kitchen was out of chicken. We finally received our order 1 hour 45 minutes after we ordered. Other diners were having similar experiences. I observed two approaches the manager and the only response was that they were taking care of it (whatever that meant). When paying the bill the cashier asked me the obligatory "was everything okay?" when I responded that it was the worse service I had ever experienced, she simply stated that it had been hectic - no "I'm sorry" or what was wrong. They don't care!”

“If this is the same Mountain Jacks as in Falls Church, Va. the experience was wonderful. We were from out of town and celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We visited there by chance and have not been able to stop talking about it ever since. Our waiter was superb and made us feel so special and the food was to die for. We will visit this Mountain Jacks in the summer as we are planning a long trip that will take us up towards the north.”

• Great food service and atmosphere.
• Kind of short on space on a busy night.

“Great ambiance. This is like a trip to grandma's house for home cooked meal. All you can eat sides, and plenty of meat. Great service and food. They serve all your sides and appetizers family style. Free refills on all. Drinks and dessert also included. The meat is all you have to choose. From chicken to steak to shrimp. Prices range from about 16-22. Well worth it for a nice romantic dinner or a business meal.”

• Cheap, non-smoking, easy menu.
• Horrible salsa, tacky atmosphere.

“I was expecting something a bit more hip for a restaurant that's in a good downtown location. The food was pretty good--kind of a Mexican greasy spoon--for the price. The atmosphere was VERY casual and outdated and there were a lot of families there. The salsa was awful, though and that is probably my biggest complaint.”

• I loved everything about this small chain.

“There no place like mountain jacks. There used to be one in Northern VA , Falls Church and I miss it. It has been seven years since I ate there cause Apple bee's bought there land and it is not there. I wish I could get a trip from management to where ever one is - for being such a loyal customer. Our whole family used to go on every special occasion Not even a 5 star like Sam and Harry could beat them.”

• Tuna cooked to order.
• Questionable drink substitution.

“I ordered a ginger ale to drink with dinner because I can not have caffeine. I now suspect the drink was actually Coke and Sprite mixed and not ginger ale. I had a terrible reaction to the caffeine. If a restaurant does not have what you order, I think you should be told if they plan on making a substitution. This could be potentially a health hazard for people with allergies. Very odd place. No ambiance. Food good enough. Service unremarkable. ”
