• A little pricey.

“Silverado's is a great family restaurant. The fries are a tad salty but the salads are great. Overall a nice place- not ideal for dates but great for the family.”

“Stopped in during supper time, it was starting to fill up. I was seated in a small booth that I could hardly get my legs under the close table. It was a good thing I was alone. Waiter dropped off menu. I had to ask someone to get him because I was ready to order and nobody was coming to take my order. He came, rushed thru taking my order of 2 egg rolls and twice cooked pork in a spicy plum sauce. I asked if I could have the egg rolls first and also a coke. When the coke came it tasted like pure seltxer with a little color added. The egg rolls were really good and I couldnt wait until my order came. It came with a bowl of rice that was stuck together. There was hardly wny sauce to put on the rice with the meat and vegetables. There were so many vegetables; I had to hunt for the meat. The meat was sliced, not shredded as the menu said; it was like eating a piece of cardboard. The sauce itself had some plum liquid, but was not very spicy. I did eat the whole thing because I dont eat during the day at my job. I know, you are thinking "how bad could it have been if he ate the meal? I put the meat on the side and ate the vegetables. I complained to the woman who came over to see how everything was and she said that I should have said something earlier. I will never go back there and will tell my friends the same thing.”

• The service is great!
• The food was horrible!

“I was there for lunch. Horrible. The place is too dark. The food was salted way too much. The salads are the type you get from relatives that can't cook. I am not exaggerating $11 bucks for lunch and it was wasted.”

• Good food, good size portions, good service, reasonable prices.
• Owner is very arrogant, un friendly type guy.

“Good food! Very reasonable prices, good service, clean, neat place. Kind of like a Greek restaurant type place. Lots of different items on menu. Owner is very arrogant. Went in at 10:05 when the close at 10:30 and owner was very nasty about the fact that I was showing up late - near their closing time. While the food is good quality I would not go back as the owner just is not friendly at all. There is lot of other choices in the Elmhurst area where the owner appreciates the business.”

“This restaurant is a very friendly place. Where ever you go there is a friendly face there to help. The cooks make excellent food. This restaurant is in my top five restaurants.”
