“This restaurant used to be one of my most favorite places to go in the world. The prices did not bother me at all, but now the story has changed. It was the greatest rip off of all time. I laughed through the entire meal at the reduced California portions.”

“Great location, professional wait staff and good sized portions are all great to have. The neighborhood is upscale, so there's lots of eye candy too, which always makes visiting here fun. Its not trendy, but its good, solid food. You can't go wrong.”

“This is a very small hole in the wall with excellent food. The owner is always there to serve with a smile. There are only about 3 small tables. Most people either deliver or order for take out. I truly recommend this place. They have amazing pizza like no other I have ever tasted! Every item on their menu is great!”

“The view is great and people watching are good, but the service is amazingly atrocious. I guess they figure they'll always have business so they can treat people like crap. Stick to standard drinks, because they're specialty drinks are gross.”

“I have been to Tedino's many times, I noticed that lately the service can be slow at times. Otherwise, it is a basic good value pizzaria, with plenty of good food, I personally recomend the super thin crust pizza.”

“Ruths Chris is well known for steaks and it certainly lives up to it. The steaks are simply delicious and the portions are huge. I also enjoy their famous chopped salad. One of my favorite restaurants.”

“My husband and I tried this restaurant on a hunch and wow were we pleased! The eggplant parmesan was to die for! Our server was not the friendliest person we met in Chicago, but our food was timely and tasty! I am planning a return trip and will definitely be heading to the Rosebud on Rush for dinner again!”

“His food is ok. Seems like it's been frozen for a while. However, the waitress that I had at this location was terrible. She was not friendly at all, and after I asked if the restaurant gives a student discount for university students (I heard it does and that is why I went to try it out) she rudely said no and looked at me strangely. I paid gave her a 10% tip and she put the money down and told me that I have to give her 15%! ”

“Have dined at most of Chicago-area Italian spots, and for last 20 yrs. This remains my absolute favorite! The best calamari fritter anywhere, top shelf bread and olive oil, very good salads/dressings. Entree quality, portion sizes and pricing cannot be beat. Authentic Italian, just as the owner's family has preserved it for decades. Have many favorite entrees of mine here, probably most notable for me is the shrimp with vodka sauce / pasta. Relatively intimate dining, with unpretentious atmosphere that is inviting to the 'stars' as well as families.”

“First two tips here in the past were great. The last time the waitress was rude and the servings very small and quite expensive. I think $40.00 for two lamp chops is pricy. On the positive end, they honored our request for a window seat and the breads brought around are excellent. A restaurant doesn¿t have to be that expensive and we are not all on business trips.”

“Amazing place to go with a group of people that can't decide what kind of food they want. It has an amazing selection of different kinds of foods. It has a great casual atmosphere and is very comfortable. I go there all the time with my friends from DePaul...”

“Actually, this cafe is not Mexican. It's Cuban. The food portions are small, yes and the prices high. Be prepared to pay a bill of 120 dollars per couple, with a couple of drinks, entree and salad or soup. The salsa scene is attractive for some people looking to find a hook up for the night.”

“I have lived in the area forever and just never found the time to stop in. Finally tried it and glad I did. First of all the employees couldn't have been warmer or more inviting. I would call the decor a kind of shabby chic but other than that I had no complaints. The food was fantastic and priced more than fairly. If you live in the area and like me have never eaten here, do your self a favor and go on in.”

“Already not exist! Remove from the list! In this town I could not find any bakery. Three of them already closed forever, one was closed on Sunday. Around of this area I s a kind of dead town. Many local shops were dead already.”

“This is a great place to take your kids on a rainy day or when the kids just need to run around and you need a few minutes to yourself or to talk to a friend that also has kids. Caesarian is just like a chuck 'e' cheese only better! The food is less expensive and better, there are fewer people (which are nice because it's easier to keep an eye on your kids), overall there is just less chaos, a great way to keep the parents sane. They have good deals on food and drinks on the off days and even their parties are cheap. While they have some video games, they also have the games that give out tickets and their selection of prizes not so great; the kids are generally more interested in running around and playing in the play area. What is also really nice is they have a toddler area with only one way in, so the parents can let the little ones get some exercise and still chat with a friend. Anyway, it's a great place for kids and the parents get a bonus of it not being too expensive, too loud, too chaotic, too complicated, etc. You can easily spend a couple of hours there without spending any money! How can you beat that?”

“I was not impressed at all. Although the restaurant was elegant and romantic, the food and the service was very less than perfect. The portion was measly, the quality of food was generically prepared and I doubt that it would represent a true, authentic Armenian-style restaurant. The meal and beverage was way too expensive for what I received and the music did not reflect the theme of the restaurant I was completely disappointed.”

“This place was really bad. We went for a buffet and decided never to step into this restaurant again. To start with the food was cold. The ambiance was poor. There was some brown stuff leaking from the roof and the chefs were trying to repair the roof. It was pathetic. We could not finish our lunch. The service was bad. The management had charged an automatic gratuity of 20 percent for a party of 3!! Upon inquiring they had the audacity to tell us that its a new rule in Chicago. Stay away Folks ! There are a lot of good Indian restaurants in Chicago and this is the worst.”

“While waiting on a friend with a group of people notice a young woman who isn't being allowed into the bar. After some confusion I notice the lady who isn't being allowed in is the friend I am waiting on. She tells me that the doorman had confused her with a hooker who was getting friendly with customers last week. Of course, this was the first time either of us had been to this place. We ordered food and beer and the waitress asks our group if we know my female friend who is sitting with us. Some of the group knew her, other didn't. The waitress then goes and tells the doorman that we really don't know her and are just covering it up. So, again he pulls the young lady aside and asks her to leave. This time the group is saying "Hey, we know her!" At this point we just want to pay and leave. After 20 minutes of waiting with our coat on the waitress finally gets up from eating her dinner, and hands us our check. After the disrespect, bad service, I leave a bad tip. The waitress then follows me outside asking me why I left a poor tip. A. the bar called my friend a HOOKER and would not allow her in; B. The service. C. Food was bad, beer was warm. Do I need to go on? Worst bar EVER. ”

“I should have remembered that advertisements are deceptive by nature and purchased. How and why Gene and Gerogettis ever got its stellar reputation is beyond me. From the moment we walked in, and we had reservations, we experience nothing but rude and surly treatment. The food, I had steak, was mediocre at best with no flavor whatsoever. I had a side order of creamed spinach which was okay. Our bill for two people, no alcohol, was over $100. What a waste of hard-earned money. There are too many other good steak houses in Chicago from which to choose. ”

“The Reggie's experience was an interesting one. Although I am a huge fan of the small pepperoni deep dish pizza, I found my experience somewhat compromised by the soup kitchen style service. Reggios at O'Hare, does rank as the tastiest pizza I have ever had though, and is now the benchmark for pizzas world-wide. The poor treatment from Reggie's employees is but a small price to pay to have just one bite of deep dish heaven.”

“great calamari (grilled or fried) the stuffed pesto gnocchi is so soft and delis chicken gondola can easily feed two, half a chicken on the bone baked with Italian sausage link, green peppers, whole she rooms in a awesome garlic and wine sauce, as good as it is be prepared to wait 35-45 minutes, it's long but worth the wait, Pizza is good as well, but stick to the seafood, chicken and pastas they're what separates La Gondola from the rest.”

“This place is great , it's been in business and owned by the same family for almost 60 years. They smoke there own fish on site and are the only place I have ever found that smokes shrimp!!! There fried seafood is also excellent especially their signature shrimp. Forget Red Lobster this is the REAL DEAL. Service is quick and friendly. They are open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm. They have pictures on the wall of the Blues Brothers jump across the 95th street bridge which is right outside their door...very cool.”

“The BEST Mexican food in the entire United States! (I've eaten at so many, I'm a qualified critic.) It has it ALL, including most flavorful Margaritas (don't even need the third grandee one to "hit the floor"), helpful and excellent wait staff, and don't even get me started on the Mole sauce. I've searched high and low, near and far to find better Mole and I just can't seem to find another even comparable. You would be doing yourself wrong if you didn't eat at Las Pinatas. I make it a MUST STOP every time I'm back in my hometown Chicago. ”

“At first if u don't know what is going on then it seems like a really bad place to eat, but once u know what is going on it is one of the most fun places to go. We went there on our way home from a band trip. It was great they danced on the counters across from us and they even picked on some of us too you have to have a good sense of humor if u really want to enjoy this place. I would tell people to go to this restaurant any time, I loved it there and cant wait to go back.”

“Tedinos is a very basic sit down pizza place. Their pizza is rather average, but that being said, I do frequent them about once a month. They have average service & the facility is a bit below average (really in need of a renovation).

“Heard about this place from a friend in Minneapolis who happened upon it while visiting. I'm glad I trusted his opinion. My wife and I went here expecting over-priced and boring food with techno music blaring throughout. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the service from leaving our car with the valet to the coat check staff on our way out. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar. The chef struck up a conversation with us, made a couple of suggestions for entries and wine pairings, and then hurried back to the kitchen. It's got an open view kitchen so you can see everything happening inside. If you sit close enough, the chef may just ask you to try a few impromptu creations, as we were fortunate to experience. The price is what you might expect, but for the quality of the food, it really is worth the experience. ”

“This restaurant was recommended to us as a "must-go-to". I'll never recommend it to anybody. Sassy is one thing, downright rude is another. Dancing waiters were not appropriate for children or young teens, pole dancing would have been less provocative and insulting. Cost was outrageous. And the added tip of 17% for poor service was inappropriate. We ate at other downtown Chicago restaurants (no fast food) for much less with much better service.”

“A great place to drop in a for a bite. Puts a twist on the normal "sandwich" by offering pre-made ingredients inside freshly baked bread. The bread is basically crusts, but have a distinct flavor and texture that add to the experience. Chips come for free, but the bag is quite small. ”

“I used to live a block away from this restaurant when it was "Tipsuda". The dining room has changed and moved two doors down, but the food has always been the best food I've ever had. We've lived away from Chicago for 20 years now, but we come back to the area to see family at least four times a year and always stop at Siam restaurant. Our 14 year old daughter has become as addicted to it as we are. And for the record, we always order Shumei and Bangkok Chicken. ”

“Everything was beautifully presented. The beet salad was outstanding; great flavor. The slices of roast lamb were a little underdone and therefore less tender than good lamb should be. The lamb shank was excellent. The vegetables were well prepared and flavorful although I always wish that there were more vegetables and less meat. I am not a vegetarian but one of those diners who considers the vegetables to be equally or more important than the meat or fish. The waiter was very helpful, explaining the source of the ingredients, warning us to be careful of the wild game (it might have buckshot in it) - the beets (and I assume some of the other items) came from an inner city producer who grows heirloom varieties. Desserts were very good. All in all this was a very pleasant experience and I will go to North Pond Cafe again and recommend it to others. ”

“My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions. Each time the food has been excellent, the service top notch, and though the wine list is not the largest in Chicago, the diversity and the way they have matched wines with cuisine is very impressive. We consider Pane Caldo as one of the top 5 restaurants in Chicago. ”

“I have been going to Lawry's for 45 years and even earlier this year, the dinner was spectacular. The cuts of sizes of the Prime rib were very thick and you get a whole Yorkshire pudding and boy left there very full and good. I was there on Sat. Oct. 30, 2006, and the food has gone so far downhill, the portions were so thin and only got a 1/4 of the Yorkshire pudding. It really has declined with the food portions and will not go back. The server was very nice though.”

“A fun place to eat we will remember forever. It was great treat to tour Chicago for the afternoon, before heading back home. We actually drove to Chicago for my son's graduation from the Naval Base Recruit Training Center. A relative living in Chicago, gave a quick tour and brought us out for lunch, before we headed home.”

“The guacamole is a little salty. We, group of 6 ordered the aki tuna and the steak tenderloin dishes. The fish tasted dry and the beef was not tender. I have tasted better margaritas. This restaurant is definitely not suitable for children because it's very crowded and loud. Desert was not great either. I would not go back to this restaurant.”

“We dined for lunch... The food experience was excellent, the ambience and the view was so relaxing and satisfying. STOP, forget all that...our waitress, Alexa gave us a real downer. It seems 20% tip was not ample. I wish I had told her we could use the money if she didn't appreciate it! We will certainly make our friends aware of the situation. Otherwise, your chefs have a real talent and we are sorry to have to report a negative.”
