• Great wait staff. Food is consistently good with lots of choices.
• The sushi leaves something to be desired. Not bad, just bleach.

“This restaurant consistently services up good Chinese buffet accompanied by a friendly and attentive wait staff. The selection is good with 4 buffet tables in the center and two on each side featuring appetizers, soups, entrees, salads, fruits and desserts. The kitchen staff keeps the food fairly fresh and the food is on a par with most good Chinese buffets. They really cater to families with kids.”

• The food, atmosphere, selection and location are all great.
• On very busy nights parking is difficult but at least well lit with police driving around checking on the cars.

“I absolutely love the new somewhere In Augusta. The menu is expansive and even when we go out late night, we are able to get anything we want until 2 am. They always have good wine selections and specials for the ladies. Lunch is also great and many of us go up there together from time to time. There is a smoking area in the back separated from the restaurant which is something you just can't hardly find anymore. It's also nice because they only allow 18 and up in the back area but the front is still family oriented throughout the day and early evening. Amanda is a great server and has always taken really good care of us.”

• I liked everything about the place-cool, very open, comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
• Nothing.

“Customer service was great. Staff is wonderful. Met co-owner, who is very friendly, and doesn't mind talking with you. We were honored today (5-28-08) to hear some great stories from her regarding the late great R&B singer. The food was delicious. Looking for real deep down southern soul food, you got to check it out. We had a great time in Augusta, on a day trip. Of course, when we return, we'll be dining at Cafe 209. I will share the word with folks back in Stone Mountain/Lithonia. Keep up the great work. Oh yeah, our server was excellent. Sorry, I forgot her name. Be blessed!”

• Excellent food.
• Sometimes service is annoyingly slow.

“This is a great place to eat. I always get the shrimp basket, with bread instead of the slaw. Best meal in Augusta. Most of the time the service is great. I even have some visits where they remember what I normally order, and have it ready for me in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, sometimes I have had to wait for 20 minutes or so to get food, even though it wasn't very busy; and sometimes the wait is equally long to get the bill so I can leave. Overall, great place. If they were consistently fast it'd be the best.”

“After moving here from Texas, I was homesick for real food. They claim that they are a Texas-style restaurant but that was a laugh. The service was absolutely horrible. There was an interview being conducted there that day by CNN of a recently dead, famous singers' children and the staff catered to their every whim instead of waiting on their own customers. All in all, it was a really bad experience and I won't be going back.”

“Well this is the best place in Augusta, its fine dinning for lunch great for meetings food is all home cooked and great prices and the hot bubble you have to try it! The service is fast and never forget a thing and the servers have a great attitude and the owners are the best in town kind and very friendly and not to mention they due private parties at the res. or outside of the res.”

“This is for Shangri la @ 3847 Washington road, Martinez, Georgia: hours posted for Friday nights until 9:30 p.m. Went in at 9 p.m. And was told to look at the buffet to see if what we wanted was there as the kitchen had already closed. We decided to eat but felt pushed out when at 9:30 p.m. They started to tear down and take away the food. Will not eat there again!”

• The orders are always prepared just the same, no surprises with the taste.
• Every now and then you get a waiter that is forgetful, but maybe he has a lot of tables.

“Rhine harts is a great place to be casual and get great seafood. I love their oysters anyway they are prepared and I always love there crab legs. Just wish there were more!”

• Not the same as going out.

“Steak-Out Augusta seems to be excellent apartment for those times when you are craving a good meal but just don't want to cook or go out. The food is delicious, I usually have the 13oz steak tips or 13oz strip, The steaks are delicious and always arrive still sizzling hot, with excellent sides and about everything you could want to go along with your steak. Overall, the service is excellent for a delivery place, and the food is definitely up to par with anything you will find at a sit down restaurant.”

• Atmosphere; but what do you expect for a gas station food stop.

“My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Basically it is a service station with a hamburger joint in it. Good burger; very friendly service. Worth the stop.”

“Went yesterday with a group from work. The food was wonderful. It was good ole southern cooking at its best. The food actually had flavor. They had the biggest selection of vegetables that I have seen in a restaurant in a long time. Along with choices like meatloaf, liver and onions (which was delicious) fried chicken, etc. Will definitely go back again and again. Plus the price was fantastic. The only negative was the decor.”

“This is the best coffee house in Augusta. It is high on ambience and baristas make it a very inviting and friendly place to be. I love the new drive-through Abbi's which is my kind of place. Since they roast their own coffee the freshness of the coffee is second to none. Don't miss this one!”

• Good food, albeit greasy.
• Nice employees, albeit greasy.

“For those who don't know, this is a chain restaurant that serves southern cooking (also called "soul food"). You can drive through or dine in for fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, fried okra, etc. it's far from nice (it's a chain, it's drive through, it's greasy), but if you're looking for a taste of southern cooking, this is the best you'll get w/o knowing someone who'll cook for you. ”
