“We had dinner with 4 adults and 3 children. Service was good. Food was enjoyable. However, we asked for rolls or bread with dinner and the waiter said it's 50 per roll. I found that to be some what ridiculous as our meal cost $350 for all of us and felt rolls should have been included. We will be back, but no rolls.”

“My husband and I went to Captiva on vacation 1 month ago. The Bubble Room came highly recommended from several locals and the hotel were staying at as well. This is a must see when you are in the Ft. Myers area. Probably the most unique restaurant we've ever been to. The food was amazing and the desserts were unbelievable. Bubble Scouts, bubble lights, pictures and toys from the Big Band era everywhere. Trains and music. What a fun place!”

“As a restaurant owner and manager, I found the key lime bistro to be charming, delightful and very well managed. We had excellent food, service, and drinks. Staff was over and above attentive! We will be going back!”

“Against every piece of judgment I have my wife and I agreed to dinner at the Bubble Room. Fairly lousy and tight. Too many people with humongous vehicles. We managed 6 adults and 3 children meant a 1 hour wait. The 1 hour wait actually ended up being 45 minutes. Not bad. Someone ahead of us was a no show. We go in and are seated. Our "bubble scout" came to serve us. "Bubble Scouts" should be happy go lucky bubbly types. You would think. Our bubble scout was a slug. Bubble slug took our drink orders. Received drinks, all was well. Surrounded by the bad acid trip Disney vomited all over the place made it fairly difficult to concentrate on the menu. A lapse of judgment on Thursday's lunch has had my abdomen in pain since 5pm Thursday. So I'll go light. I'll get something fairly simple without some retarded creme sauce all over it that binds me up even worse than I already am. First of course came the pile of cinnamon rolls and bubble bread. We're fairly positive we've cracked the bubble bread code. It's freaking mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, and butter. Wife Discovered the mayo with her first bite. I guess they didn't mix it good enough. Me: Pork chops. My chops are better hands down. They were the massive thick kind that are fantastic but probably too thick for this chef to be cooking on high heat. They were still decent though. Sides were black beans and rice. Yeah. Some variety of carrots I didn't touch. Greek salad was actually excellent. $24 . Wife: Lightly battered shrimp with a side of crappy green beans and a twice baked salt potatoes. Long John Silver's has these shrimp for $4? That's probably a good guess. We'd rather pay Bubble Room $22. Brother-in-law #1: Had some grouper plate. His description was extremely average. $26. Sister: Some kind of grouper chunks thing. Yeah they were fish sticks. $25. Brother-in-law #2: Red Snapper. He described it as obviously not fresh fish and fairly lousy. Sister in-law: The hot shrimp on yellow rice. Who cares what it's actually called. She had a lot of food left on her plate but ate the shrimp. Kids: How do you f-up a personal pan pizza. It was an inflated piece of dough with a pinch of cheese on it. We didn't get desert. I'm never eating at the bubble room for the rest of my life. We split the bill up so we could all suffer with our own bad decision. I feel cheated. Conclusion: Parking was lousy. Our waiter was a slug. He did his job though. Whatever food was mostly lousy and made even lousier by the cost. Average plates of $25 make you angry because the food is so lousy. Did I mention that it was lousy? The one saving grace? The company I was with. Thank God I've got a great family the I truly enjoy being around. If I would've been in lousy company my head might have exploded. Don't eat at Bubble Room. Just Say No.”

“As someone who owns and runs restaurants for a living, I understand that there are bad days (actually nights) at every restaurant. But, when I was there with my business colleagues/friends earlier this year, the service was incredibly slow, uneven and unprofessional. The food came very late and cold. No apology was forthcoming from the waiter (who at times disappeared for 20-30 minutes at a time) or his manager (during his absence), saying that is the way it on a busy night. Too bad the place has a nice atmosphere and food is decent. I will make sure no one I know will go there.”
